To those making prejudice and racial jokes against this situation, what the hell is wrong with you. A young man tragically died. I can’t imagine the pain his parents are going through and yet you creeps are making jokes about his “Asian parents putting too much academic stress on him.” You guys are disgusting for joking about this and being completely racist while doing it
Making jokes is absolutely terrible but it's common for Asian parents, especially from China and Korea, to put too much pressure on their kids. At the engineering college I went to they had to install suicide deterrents because Asian kids were commiting suicide by jumping from the top of the stairwells. Very sad.

Someone filed a noise complaint, so the campus officers came to the 8th floor to bust the party. The campus officers saw him enter the bathroom & shortly after he fell out. If it were hazing, why would it occur after the campus officers arrived? My theory is that since he was drunk, he thought it would be better to escape from the bathroom windows instead of facing the consequences for drinking & partying. It is also midterm season so could that be a factor? Prayers to his family & friends
I don’t think he fell from the bathroom though. I live a floor beneath the guy and the people in the suite across from me saw it live, they said he hit open windows on the way down, which shouldn’t be possible if he climbed out a bathroom window, at least from what I know of our floor plan. I’m not sure how it differs on the floor above us
There was a young guy who came down to LA from Northern California for some event or competition. He went to a party and got so drunk he didn't know what he was doing. He left the party, dialed someone on his phone leaving incoherent messages and then walked up an on ramp onto the freeway and into traffic. He didn't know how much alcohol he could handle and seriously overestimated what he could drink. I am afraid it might be a similar situation. They will do a blood alcohol test certainly in this case.
Highly doubt he had to be drunk. It's like the middle of midterm season. Everyone is literally just sitting in the study rooms all day trying not to fail their next exam.
@@sonofsons770 so what's the gossip about the real play of his death in your campus?
@@alreadydead7651 they were having a party with alcohol (most likely 80 proof cheap vodka, that’s what’s common on campus and it’s what some of my suite mates have been drinking). He got really drunk and he climbed/fell out of the open bathroom window. He was alone when it happened so it was probably just an accident. In my previous reply I said I didn’t think it was the bathroom window, however after looking at the windows from the front of the campus I realized that people for whatever reason leave them open. So he probably did fall out of the bathroom window.

The student interviewed didn't mention any support from the college, just they couldn't talk about an ongoing investigation and nobody knew what was going on. Really conflicts with the organized, concise statement that is turning into the standard public release for all schools. They are investigating, providing support for everybody and their thoughts are with the family. Looks like lip service especially after you hear from a witness. They really have to watch freshman. I had my kids do 2 years at a local juco and kept them home where I could watch them. 18 is very young and the world is still a dangerous place.
The few trolls in these comments are really the worst of the worst. An innocent young man died tragically, have enough respect to at least remain silent.
Trolls are sociopaths, psychopaths, and narcissist. They have NO MORAL COMPASS, they have NO EMPATHY FOR OTHERS, they ENJOY hurting people, especially people they perceive as being "better than" them.
Yes, these people walk amongst us, and YES they look just like me and you, and YES they can be found leaving truly shitty, hurtful comments online or even trying to encourage others to kill themselves because they are MORALLY BANKRUPT and get off on manipulating other people.
Most people are decent human beings, but there is about 20% of the world's population....NO JOKE, NO EXAGGERATION....who are truly morally bankrupt and ENJOY this kind of stuff, and they think it's funny, and they love to rile people like you up.
If no one told you about these people growing up, you better educate yourself, as you WILL encounter them in your life IN PERSON and they are incredibly good actors that can turn on you in your most vulnerable moment and show you just how morally bankrupt they are.
You NEED to learn this if you don't already know it, and you need to learn it before one of them turns on YOU.
In my sons dorm years ago, the eighth floor was really the 10th floor. They named what I would call first floor some thing and then the next floor up was one. The windows really shouldn’t open wide enough for a fall. Is this another attack on an Asian out in California? I hope they check everything
Here in Europe the floor at ground level doesn't count as the first floor either.
This is sad news, I hope his family is coping.
It was an accidental fall. According to other news reports, there was a party and an RA was coming so people were hiding to avoid the RA. Those windows are way too low (the bottom of the window is close to knee/thigh height) and don't have screens on them either, so he tragically fell while hiding out in the bathroom
@@summerrose4184 that's actually really sad and crazy. Who designed that death trap. If the windows are gonna be low like that people shouldn't be able to open them too wide.
Thanks for informing us!
This is devastating. I'm praying for his family :(
Heartbreaking to see another young life with so much promise gone too soon. My sincere condolences to his loved ones.
So sad and so young. RIP Aaron. I send my condolences to his friends and family ❤️. Gone way too soon.
I hope this is thoroughly investigated cause I watch a documentary with the same situation a college student in canada was reported to have jump off the rooftop of his apartment building but it turns out that there was a foulplay..
One documentary is NOT indicative of every person who falls to their death. What it is indicative is that ONE specific situation. You are using all-or-nothing thinking.
There is no evidence of foul play here. There was a party....someone complained....the police showed up....and he ran into the bathroom. Most likely he had been drinking, and most likely he fell to his death from the bathroom window, as he was seen falling by other students.
Of course, the police will look into any possibility of foul play, as they would any crime, but there is simply not even a suggestion of it in this situation.
My friend who went to San Diego said the window is super high. It's almost impossible to slip out of the window unless someone pushes you and throw you out.
If this is a hate crime, I will lose too much humanity. He was handsome and smart. Why can't the world protect talent
Kinda suspicious situation! It should be investigated in depth. If he were drunk when all this happened (I don't know the whole story), it should be a lesson to people who party, drink, and other similar things. I wish patience to his family and RIP to him.
@elizabeth99 If he died by breaking his cranium after falling from the stairs while overly-intoxicated, which would you blame: the school for putting up the stairs, the stairs for being in his way, or his cranium for being breakable?
My deepest condolences to the family for their great loss.
You’re bringing drinking into the equation? Jeez
@elizabeth99 Why don’t you take responsibility for your own actions rather than telling us in so many words family, friends, teachers, counselors…should accept college students behaviors. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ! I don’t want to believe you were raised to be a Jerk.

Ummm.... Definitely check into foul play as factor, even if he was drunk... You never know.
Umm. No. Investigations follow evidence to reach a conclusion. Not look for evidence to match their hypothesis.
An investigation will most likely happen and the EVIDENCE will determine where this case goes from there.
Whether it be suicide/homicide/accident
@@locke3862 I’m almost a little too confident in the idea that the student might’ve been scared of the repercussions of him being found by a school resource officer while “party “and this wouldn’t have fare too well with his parents, and I think that this was a major reason why he was trying to maybe hide outside of the window and ended up falling accidentally
I live in the dorm, he was a floor above me. I’m pretty sure he just got drunk and backed out a window. I didn’t see it directly but the people across from me did, he hit windows on the way down and the dorm house is still pretty shaken about it. He wasn’t pushed, he just fell.

A student posted that he was on the floor below & the cops were called because of the loud noise from the party & they were there when the student went into the bathroom & then fell, so apparently, foul play didn't happen while the cops were in the main party room. Just a sad situation.

Don’t just assume something like that. Wait until theirs more details on the case first. He could have been intoxicated and made a bad move, don’t just throw his death at anyone like that. Accusations like these can ruin innocent people’s lives.

Unfortunately, college/university students falling from balconies and high floors are an all too common occurrence in student dorm housing.
I went to university with a friend from a student club who lived in one of the on-campus dorms. During her stay there, one student from the same building fell from a balcony on one of the higher floors and died. This was over a decade ago.
I'm not too sure but it might also have involved partying and alcohol. These things just don't go well together when living on a high-rise dorm as an undergrad student full of school stress who just want to let loose some pressure by partying and drinking.
my university started locking all balconies in the dorm halls during finals week after one incident
