Teen Saved From Alleged Kidnapper Thanks to Hand Signal

- A missing teenager from North Carolina used a hand signal she learned on TikTok to alert a passing car that she was in trouble, leading to her rescue. The 16-year-old girl flashed the gesture, which caught the attention of a good Samaritan, who then called 911 as they traveled down the highway in Kentucky. The teen apparently learned the hand signal -putting up your palm, tucking your thumb in and covering it with your fingers - on TikTok, from a woman using it as her abuser stood in the background.
I feel like no one is praising the guy that actually called the cops. He easily could’ve not noticed or just chose to ignore it
People did on Optimus' channel. The RUclipsr praised the caller as well.
If he ignored it, he’d get a bunch of hate
@@l0pez721 over what lmao. Maybe he didn't know? Like seriously you think people know a language like latin. Plus not everyone has Tiktok
I would have ingored it, laughed and drove on by
Why should he get praised? For being a decent human?
Everybody is praising the person on TikTok, but nobody is praising the actions of the guy who called.
I agree, he really should be praised but, right now, they don't know his identity. He didn't stop or leave his info with the dispatcher. Sheriff's department has made a public plea asking him to come forward/contact them.
Exactly
Don't worry. Every woman who has been abused will know that guy and his part in the story without reporters needing to say anything. 😉
@@mosthated2469 wtf? "Only listen to tiktokers"? You do realise the guy was able to read her gesture and the girl was able to make one, because they *Both listened to tiktoker* ,Don't you?
because he's not a woman. If he's a woman people would be like "well, let's not forget about this wonderful woman. Girls power!!!"
Out of all, it sounded like an older gentleman that doesn’t even watch or used Tiktok or social media as much was the unlikely sung hero that knew what that gesture meant. Awesome 👏
You're sure assuming a lot about the caller. For all you know he might have his own RUclips channel or shares dance moves on Tiktok Lol
@@GameChanger597 ,or he might be a she who spends all her time smoking cigarettes and watching TikTok. At least we can agree on one thing and the caller was in fact a hero who likely saved her life.

This should not be that funny....but it is. I tried to hold back my laughter but I could not.

This is a great way to save victims of abusers. I just really hope no one abuses this power to get someone in trouble, even if they’re just messing around. That would be very problematic.
Kidnappers: “Now I know I need to tie their hands up.”
This is really good for everyone to learn, but some bad people might know what it is.
You’re right, but it can still be very effective as a widely known signal. The person can use it behind their back or when the perpetrator isn’t looking. Still great to have something subtle and nonverbal.
Bad side about this is that there might be someone use it as a prank
