This is an enjoyable chat with Howard’s KROCK boss as we look back at his time with Howard on the dump button, losing at golf to Stuttering John, punching his suit and why he didn’t go to Sirius with Howard. Plus we spend some time with his current venture at Sloan Kettering. Plenty of classic Tom-isms with that wonderful laugh at the very end.

I always loved Tom on the show. Everybody would always mess with him and he was a good sport and rolled with the punches.
Agreed 100%
Tom also looked out for KC and fucked with Stuttering John. You gotta love him for that.
Howard once, when Tom had cancer, told him he hoped it killed him lmao.
Tom was the best.
@@JacaboBlanco i remember hearing some of that and it seemed like it actually hurt toms feelings. he didnt get mad tho
I need the golf swing sound affect when I hear Tom talk to make it perfect.
Or the robot voice
lmao
Had the pleasure of meeting Tom at KROCK in 2005. Really nice guy. After coaxing my Panasonic client to advertise on the Stern show, we set up a 65" plasma TV in the studio to get to get the cast familiar and met everyone from the show (except Howard). Flat screens were new and exotic at this point in time, so, there was a lot of interest. The 65" TV.....which cost about $20K at the time....ultimately went home with Gary as he billed himself as the "tech guy' for the show. Talked with Tom a bit in his office off 57th Street. The switch to Sirius was already known so, the show was only a few months away from the transition to satellite radio. All the Best to Tom!!
Cool story!!
Nice little story from behind the scenes, and a better time
Always liked Tom. During the Stern Show 9/11 broadcast Tom was a reassuring voice of reason and shows why he was a great boss.
Interned in 95. Love Tom.
Give us some dirt!!
Were you there on November 1st when Billy West quit?
Dirt please??
CONGRATS ON BEATING STAGE 4 MELENOMA TOM!!! Never knew....big ups to you.
Preach it broski.. never knew that either.
I always liked Tom but damn my respect went way up. Beating cancer and being on chemo is no joke. But inoperable stage 4?? Jesus
Did Howard ever mention this?
@@Toosii2times Oh maybe he mentioned it in passing but you see it's NOT about Howard, so most likely he didn't. Howard is obsessed with himself, it's gross but life zooms on! ;)
@@Toosii2times Yep it was mentioned on the show, Howard was "supportive" with some jokes
@@johnnymeyer4253 in passing?? It was mentioned quite a lot.. I know the show from youtube clips (as I’m Russian and live in Russia) and even I know about it from the show🤷♂️
You don't remember Howard wishing that the cancer won? Lol
Tom was always good on the show. He gave great content, completely got it and especially considering his job title was a brilliant sport. He was like the dad of the show, but the dad you could have a good time with.
I am enjoying your podcasts. You are good at letting the guests speak and not interrupt. That is a skill. Plus you come across as a nice person (lets face it there is enough snark out there.) Keep up the good work.
I haven't even listened to the interview yet but again this is stuff that Howard should be doing LOL
Great interview!!!! Good to hear Tom’s voice.
I’m a lifer from day 1 and one of the things I truly missed in later years was the interactions with Tom. I don’t know if ever looks at the interview but thank you for being part of the “Golden age” and I believe the 5th Beatle🤦♂️😂. You’re a good caring man and happy to see you still here and doing things for others only someone who gan give Unconditional love can do something that hard to do. Made my day seeing this interview and I hope you hit a hole in one down there in Florida.👍
Tom was the CLASSIC straight man.
Great to see tom. Excellent golfer. Never forget when he did the jackie puppet.
Tom is such an awesome person. I hope I grow up to be just like him.
Agree wholeheartedly
2 of my fave Tom show moments were him snapping & beating up his suit and when the interns pranked him 🤣
What about the memo
Wow surprised you got him! Thanks!
Very cool interview. Thank you Tom for all the entertainment.
🙏 for your mom.
Tom must love the new Stern show
😂
Actually he most likely would since he always wanted to tame Howard but couldnt. Now the irony is that Howard pussied himself.
I can't stop thinking about Fred playing the sound effect of the golf swing...
F Penelope
That was hilarious
I full face smiled when I pressed play on this one. Love Tom!
Always entertaining Brad! Always look forward to Stern Talk! RIP Ralphie!
Thank you very much. Appreciated people who enjoy this channel. And yeah sadly, yesterday was like the old days where you had to go check out and see what Howard had to say about some thing. And it did not disappoint yet. It was incredibly sad.
You need to find and interview Tracy!!!
big time! she was amazing on the air
This made my day.
Im a Howard die hard. I still listen to the show today ..as bad as it is..
Im so happy to see Tom is doing great!
Thanks for the interview
I haven’t listened since Artie left, except to still listen to the same old shows repeatedly. When the quarantine lockdown came up earlier this year and Sirius was offering free listening, I checked it out and gave it a chance. I couldn’t get through five minutes. I was hoping they would have old bits or a catalogue to check out, but none of that was available. I think listening to the old days regularly makes it even harder to get into today’s show, because I tried to get back into it with an open mind, but I just felt disappointed in that it was even worse than I feared
@@larrycera9276 Is it true that Howard is under the control of his Svengali therapist?
@@cantweallgetalong from what I’ve heard he is now a combination of under the thumb of the Getting Things Done organization, represented by Marci Turk who he hired as chief executive of “Howard Stern Inc”, and who now even Gary has to take orders from, and obsessed with his neuroses-driven “psychotherapy”, which has clearly formed his entire worldview and allows him to now make sense of the world in the way all immanentist philosophies work as an ersatz religion
@@larrycera9276 I knew it!. One set of neurosis for another,
@@cantweallgetalong yeah and Robin is a proselyte for Landmark Group, which is a secular religion based on self-help philosophy. She tried to spread it to all acquaintances she’s ever had including Jackie Martling
Very cool ! Tom always seemed like a good guy and always professional.
Cheers Brad, from a fellow Missourian about 3 hrs on I-70 W from you, near KC. I enjoy STL whenever I get there. Great channel. ✌🏼
Much appreciated West Sider! Got alot of friends out that way
So great to hear from Tom again! Can’t believe you got in touch with him and he was receptive to it. Made my day
Always loved Tom !!! It was always good with him in the studio.
Tom chiusano was a great sport on the show and is a class act
Great interview! You have a great smile 😃
God bless Tom! Wish the world was packed full of ppl like him.
Yeah he seems like a solid dude.
Wonderful human you are Tom! Great interview! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
just like when he worked with stern, he brought the comedy to a grinding halt within seconds
Native St. Louisan here, great to see another STL Stern fan, let alone one doing these great interviews
Thank you Kenny.
I can hear the golf swing in my head the second I Hear Tom speak. Lmao. Good to see you again Tom.
So glad I found your RUclips channel. Really good
So great to see Tom, I'm happy to see he's doing well. Tom had such an impact on the show, he was a great antagonist for Howard. Howard needs adversaries. Another reason why the current Incarnation is unlistenable.
Tom sure had some thick skin. He's one hell of a tough man, he endured the torture of the show and beat cancer.
I don't think there is a much tougher 1-2 punch to take than that.
I love Tom! He really is a good guy!💜💜💜
Great interview too!!👍👍
I love Tom Chiusano! I always enjoyed him on the air.
How are you getting these guests? Keep em coming man, I have been enjoying all of these interviews!
Tom Cheapasano. That guy was the living definition of corporate middle management.
Nah, just the guy that Howard could use as cover for his own cheapness.
@@hattorihanzo2275 That's true, but Tom was a corporate suit to the extreme. Nice guy, though
Brad you are the greatest with all your interviews of ex staff thanks to you we are saved from not knowing how everybody went out with a kick in the ass
Thank you
Other people like stuttering John have gotten old HS folk .. but he’s not the interviewer you are. You listen .. sound enthused during the interview .. create a cohesive timeline/interview. Just great job! Thank you for these and keep it up!
Love the show! Its nice to hear from the old Stern show guys. Wish you could get Scott the engineer on
Great to hear from Tom
Great interview man, I’ve been wondering about what happened to Tom. Keep up the good work !!!!
So awesome seeing Tom
I love the fact that you actually let the guests talk. Its refreshing. Doesn’t happen to often, on other shows.
Wow what a wonderful person Tom is, I wish howard would have him on the show
Seems like he’s still in contact with Howard..He spoke so glowingly.
lol tom's son is a youtuber and talk just like him. Great to hear from you, Tom! one of my favorite personality on the show. Dude is like a mullet metaphorically, party on the back business in the front.
Tom is the best
Man. Tom Cheapasano. I loved him. Lots of classic moments. Great dude all around.
Tom was the best snd honestly one my favorite “character’s” on the show..
baahahahahhahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
Tom and KC was the era
DAMN how did you land this legend? this is a throwback and solidifies you as a legend, as well
i heard a good podcast from a couple years ago with him on it ill try find it now for ya
this is amazing
Thanks for all the laughs over the years Tom...just be-cuss
Wow tom is back great to hear his voice
Wow! Tom “Cheapasano”! Very nice get!
I’ve been dying to hear about tom chuisanos touching cancer story for years. Riveting stuff !
Tom you are a great man. We loved you.
The first drop in the Stern show was when Jackie left, the second drop was when they moved to Sirius, a big reason is they lost Tom
Love hearing his voice
The bits with Tom on the radio and the E show were great. He was a good sport.
You look amazing Tom....God Bless
I love the episode when Stuttering John beat Tom at golf. Classic Stern Show moment!!
Tom was so mad he punched his office door and injured his hand! lol
One of my favorite moments on he stern show -
well he let john re-tee otherwise john would have shot a 10
Yeah...John was such a gracious winner. Karma...
How time flies. It's insane. I haven't seen Tom since 2005, and I Googled him like ten minutes ago because I was watching a video about vitamin D, and they mentioned how even a little bit of sun screen blocks UV rays. That reminded me of him. 17 years, yet it literally feels like a week. But he's 74 now.
He is a good man. I’m happy he is healthy
Not going to lie I love Tom.
Wow. Great interview! I thought TC was no longer with us.
You should’ve asked him about the Crazy Cabbie saga and the behind the scenes of that mess lol
Class act.
According to the American Cancer Society, the 5-year survival rate for stage 4 melanoma is 15-20 percent. This means that an estimated 15-20 percent of people with stage 4 melanoma will be alive 5 years after diagnosis.
I'm really happy to know Tom is still around.
"Bicuzz" Drink!!! ❤️👍😊
So nice to hear from Tom again!!!!!
Nice get! Good on ya!
I'm surprised tom is well and alive. Good to hear from him after many years.
All that was missing was someone doing Tom’s voice in monotone, BaBa Booey interrupting , Fred doing BaBa Booey’s voice, and Jackie Bursting into laughter. Great interview.
And the golf swing sound effect
Exactly.
Ahhh, back when Howard was still a hard charger
“And btw...” classic Tom line
im so happy to see tom in good health
I wish you asked him some more behind-the-scenes type of questions.. hopefully he comes back on again.
This guy is solid. A good man, rare in the HS world.
Such a weird comment. You don't know anybody in the ""HS world". You know them when they speak into a microphone, when they're undoubtedly performing.
Considering his age and health issues, Tom looks good still
A true professional
Tom is such a good person.
Love Tom, such a decent man. Still good looking, well spoken, while being an inspiration by beating cancer, keeping a good mindset, and helping others.
Good interview with Tom. Nice to hear from him after all these years. Wishing you good health and a great retirement.
Oh absolutley
Tom looks pretty good i didn't even knew he's still alive!!
You should interview Tom’s assistant, Denise.
I didn't expect him to sound exactly the same lmao
11:03 As a European, 'Born in the USA' started playing through my head.
Good get. I always liked Tom
I like Tom. He’s genuine.
How could anyone downvote this??
KC Armstrong came just to downvote. So did Stuttering John
actually looks younger than Goodstein today! Tom is great!
Hahaha 19:29 "ABSOLUTELY" sadly Tom missed that 😂🤣
I think he heard it…
Tom looks great
Um that was um an awesome um interview um.Tom um really was um a really um big um part of the um show
