Wow hearing tom chiusano's voice again gave me chills. Tom was a great part of the show, his battles with Howard, Jackie and Stuttering John used to be so entertaining.
Howard and Jimmy Kimmel are the same. Lost their edge trying to appeal to the "cool kids" celebrity party crowd they loathed and mocked before.

I haven’t listened to the Stern Show in years. I miss the old shows from K-Rock and the early years at Sirius. Thank god for RUclips!! I really hope when Stern leaves that the old gang from the past can create a show on Sirius.

Dude I just found this channel. What a gem. I would say this is as GOOD as “The History Of Howard Stern” THANK YOU. I’ve been learning SO MUCH. Howard meant SO much to me. At times SO confusing. What happened to that guy? Why haven’t I heard from this guy? Now I know. Tim, Steve, Grillo, John, Artie, I could go on, and on. Miss you guys SO FUCKING MUCH. Miss Howard SO much. He's probably r right I listened to him from 1992 to WOKE movement and found my self listening less and less. Then Covid happened and I completely stopped listening to him and canceled my subscription. Its very sad I looked up to him so much listened religiously and now I don't. I didnt even know about the leaked video tape of the big meeting telling staff to make fake accounts and stuff. I think I made a good decision and saving 13 bucks a month too now lol.

I started downloading his radio stuff from Napster, that's how long ago this was. I was a huge fan of Howard for many years, I still listen to his old school stuff on youtube, I completely ignored the last few years, I prefer to think the show has ended many years ago, when it was at its best. Before the woke nonsense. What a shame.. I think represents NY perfectly. Once a beautiful crazy fun mega city, now a shithole that you want to run away from.
He's at the head of that table now....how pathetic he's become. His draw was that we all thought he was one of us, a regular guy.

These TV guys got screwed . Once they did all the archive shows , they were let go. Now we have a Sirius app, complete w/video. Also the ability for satellite radio to broadcast video now.

I always thought Tom Chiasano was such a solid, cool dude. For someone who is at that level of management act the way he did, just it was such an enjoyable part of my day for so long. Like you could really see this coming like in super slow motion for so long. Happened exactly the way I thought.
Turned out O & A were dead right. I knew they were and everyone else did. I ended up being huge O and A till they couldn't help just go overboard when they didn't have to. Good to see how Norton evolved. Haha. Last I knew he was still on.
Howard has always been a climber.He uses you to climb to a higher rung then tosses you aside.
Has anyone ever "left" Howard on good terms or professionally. Howie really shits on people on the way out.

@@steveg6035 The thing that sucks is that Stern did a Billy West retrospective and it was so full of backhanded compliments and shade because Howard doesn't like it when "his" people are successful outside of his bubble, which sucks because Billy was doing extremely well when he started on the show. During the retrospective, a few of them mentioned Space Jam but not a single mention of Futurama.
I would love for you to ask the question if Howard hair is really his . I’m sure some of the former staff got real close to him and can provide some feedback on there thoughts

@@ABrizzo06 Scott Salem was fired by the stern regime approximately one year ago. What I’m referring to is Howard’s behavior leading up to Scott’s dismissal. Scott’s long time wife Robin was diagnosed with cancer 2-3 years ago. Scott ran into extreme financial trouble after draining their savings fighting for his wife’s health. Scott asked permission to set up a GoFundMe account to help with medical costs. He asked for $50,000 from the public. Howard not only refused to mention it, he also banned any staff from publicly mentioning it. Obviously, had the fund raising effort been talked about on air, the goal would’ve been reached instantly. Howard took Scott’s desire to help his wife as a direct insult. His singular concern was the disgusting display of selfishness and pettiness shown by Howard becoming public. Not only could Howard have helped his long time servant by contributing essentially pocket change to Scott he then threw Scott out of the stern compound. Scott began working for other Sirius shows on a separate floor. Scott was fired when a woman he met, after his wife’s passing, took a picture of Howard at a social gathering. Howard sent his guru Marci Turk to demand the picture be deleted in front of her. Scott took offense to this and refused to be verbally abused by her. Scott was fired on the spot.

Tom was the only one who wasn’t fired. Howard left terrestrial. So he’s the only one who won’t sound bitter. Somehow I think even if he was let go .. Tom would never should any resent. He’s just that good kind of guy.

I have listened to Stern since KROC. I went to the rally where Grandpa Al Lewis said the "F" word and also to the premier of his movie. I saw Howard sing with Rob Zombie on 33rd Street.I was second in line behind Crackhead Bob(RIP) just to get tickets. Listen, Howard's show is all about giving up your personal life for the "bit". Everything is in the public eye. This makes it 'different' when dealing with employees. Plus...he uses his employees as part of the show, so they are out there to be seen. Take a look at all the late night shows who has a staff. Let's say a writer is let go...no one knows or cares. Aside from Jackie, all these other people were just staff that were turned into personalizes.Hey, it's Howard's show and he has the right to run it as he does...he's the one with the talent. My question is...is Nancy available...haha?

Both happened in succession, with one overlapping into the other. Honestly, the show started its decline when Jackie left. Artie was the life support. His departure took Howard off life support, thus causing Howard to take a turn for the worse.
Howard started to slowly change after going from Allison to Beth...Hard to believe Beth has been 20+ yrs now.

Not to be pedantic but Langford was there during the Sirius years, so couldn't have left in 2001...Also I think Brent said he left in March 2020, not 2019.

Any employee of howard that long would know he LIVED ON THE AIR. For them to act surprised when the contract was expiring and him just announce it for the chance of someone freakin out and making radio gold is just stupid
Exactly. That's the entire show - and why it's so successful. I stopped listening during the AGT days but started listening again recently. Howard has finally matured and calmed down. Guess a few hundred million of 'eff you' money changed him for the better. I cringe listening to his over-the-top machine-gun style in the early days.

Unless your working for the CIA or at Coca Cola and they tell you what the secret ingredient is there's really no reason you should be signing an NDA especially for a radio program.
@@j2times2006 It doesn't work that way. These companies typically offer a decent severance package when they fire long term employees. The catch is you have to sign an NDA (which usually contains a "non-disparagement" clause). Otherwise u get nothing but your last paycheck. Most people simply cannot afford to reject that type of offer.

Whenever I hear anyone who left the stern show talk about how they got f’ed, I always think the same thing; you never want to rely on this one “thing” to be the best thing on your resume. You have to figure out how to start creating other hustles and opportunities. The people who left had nothing going for them at all. They had no unique skills or other things that were involved in that could add to the show. They just took from the show - I am aware it’s easier Said than done
They remind me of the sad handful of people that I know still work at my old job. They've been there forever, don't know how to survive anywhere else, and expect that the job will be good to them. Hint: it won't.
I agree, but I think Howard would send mixed messages. He was very loyal to staff who never strayed for other gigs, but it meant giving up your balls.

Most entertainers are pretty selfish and only worry about impressing their peers and could care less about anyone underneath them.

If you are talking about how Jackie left, it makes perfect sense to me. Jackie was asking for more $ than management was willing to pay him. So he walked. It happens all the time.
Why? Jackie has discussed it on more than one occassion.

Stern show sucks ever since Artie left and Howard TV ended. Everything slowly fell apart. Staff is boring, guests suck, interviews suck and most wack packers are gone. All die hard listeners are left with listening to Artie days and phony phone calls on RUclips !!!!!

How can you say the interviews suck when he has people like Paul McCartney on and the interview lasted for almost 2 hours. You don’t get that anywhere.

Brent is one of those people that is good on the show when other people are shitting on him in a hilarious manner. The same way that Lisa G or Penny Crone were a good for the show in that she was a good punching bag

Howard has turned into what he used to hate and make fun of for decades, but quite possibly even worse. Idk how someone who owes as much of his success to everyone whos ever worked on his show as Howard does,could do what he's done. Yet Robin outlasts everyone. I understand she's been with him forever but honestly wtf does she contribute to the show? Seriously does anyone really look forward to what she has to say about anything whatsoever? Howard has become worse than Imus

I had a girlfriend who hated Robin. She used to kind of bypass my filters. I didnt really listen to her. But then my gf pointed out how annoying robin is and i cant listen to the show without cringing now when robin chimes in.
On replays from the good old days howard sort of ignored her too. Now shes just there like decorative towels in the downstairs bathroom...useless. but howard talks to her too much now.
