    Say what you want about Shuli,He gets lots of hate on the show for seeing opportunities and taking them. He himself made his career on that show. And good for him for taking care of his family and getting out of there

    This guy was the best guest he's ever had on the show as far as ex-staffers go. I got a whole other level of respect for Shuli, a genuine good human being with a kind heart. I wish him the best I think he's going to be all right the direction he's going

    I wasn’t always a huge fan of Shuli but he had his moments on the show that were funny. I do respect him for walking away on his terms and not trying to hang onto the sinking ship that is the Stern show now!

    I left the show after Artie, But I find these post show interviews surprisingly good. There’s something here. Put together a stern show podcast without Howard and just the rejects like Artie Jackie Gilbert funnier than the actual show.

      Honestly they could re-create the Stern show without stern and make a boatload more money than whatever Stern was paying them. These days fans really do support things they enjoy and if you had even 100,000 people giving five bucks a month you could pay every one of these peoples salaries

Sure it would be fun to have the oldies from the show gather but after 1-2 shows of that u have to produce new content and good luck with that.

    Covid has changed the stern show. Something about being in the studio and hearing the fights and nonsense. Shuli grew on me sad he left. Brent was a weirdo but had his moments. Good luck shuli love Mamet (tan mom voice)

    The saddest part is that Howard, Robin and Fred never even have the decency to address on air these great artists from the show leaving. They quickly forget that the show works because of the group, not just Howard. It’s also a slap in the face to us listeners who don’t know until you stumble upon a video like this. How sad

Scott was trying to raise money for his wife's cancer treatment and she later died but Howard wouldn't let him plug anything and wouldn't donate a penny and didn't even mention him at all when he left. And didn't mention his wife even tho she was on the show many times.

Howard is an egomaniac and he tries to protray that he’s a caring guy but it’s pretty clear he only cares about himself. He always praised Shuli on air and laughed constantly with his impressions but just let him go like he was a nothing burger. pretty sure Fred is miserable there. He never sounds happy to be on, always on edge with Howard and robin on air. I think they are all dropping like flies and this show will cease to be good. Howard is an amazing interviewer and I think he wants to be Larry king, just doing interviews

      not going to happen anytime soon since artie checked himself back into rehab to learn how deal with issues that he had never dealt with before without doing drugs.
      once he learns how to deal with these issues they next step will be to see if he still do comedy and podcast where can not effect his heath. if he finds out it will effect his heath he will retire from the spotlight and not comedy clubs show or podcast or interviews.
      his heath is more important and artie now realizes this,

      Shuli made a decision concerning his family. Howard is very jealous and hates when people put their families first. Remember what he did to Gary, Will, and others during Superstorm Sandy? He is out of his mind if he thinks he's got a job waiting for him with Howard

      @@hughg.rection9161 I had heard that same story. That he was cheating and his wife packed up and ran off to Alabama where she had family. That's the story I had always heard. I never heard of him feeling unsafe in New York until he told this story here. Everyone else is working from home but everyone else is still in the New York area. Shuli chose to try and salvage his marriage and he paid for it with his job. They didn't try to make anyone else part-time and cut their benefits, only Shuli. Howard has a God complex, he believes nothing and no one should ever come before him so Shuli had to pay.

    Currently re-listening to 2002 for about the third time, when he went to Vegas and Howard was still calling him Chulli. I never really cared much for Shulli on the show most of the time, particularly his "comedy" he had his moments I guess. But this interview changed my perception of him a little. Whatever the future brings you, I wish you the best of luck from a 20 year superfan in Australia 🤘

      Just only watch material pre-2012. IMO the last great segment was went Scott the Engineer claimed he couldn't join the block party in Toronto (or somewhere like that) cos he had a wedding to go to...of a 'family cousin'. Shuli, Ronnie, Scott and Howard all excelled in that moment. But I don't remember a single segment after that that was any good, or matched anything like the heydey of the show. For me that was the last great bit...can u think of any more post 2012? And I don't count celeb interviews...

      @@estebancomulet Yes! I think there are many but overall the show has evolved and Howard is more focused on the interviews these days. The show definitely does go through it's ups and downs though.

      -The IQ test btw Brent & Memet/Mehmet.
      -Brent vs Mike Rapaport including songs, threats and various insanity.
      -Brent and Caitlin Swinging and Brent’s subsequent mental breakdown (did Caitlin really need to go on & on & on about how great sex was w/ The Jackhammer!? That nearly put Brent into an insane asylum I hope people realize.
      -Everything Shuli did was genius. What he did with the wack pack was always must listen.
      High Pitch Eric driving and getting tickets was also really good.

    STW - thanks for putting these interviews together. I really like your style of revealing the little parts of the show we don’t hear about but are all interested in. I enjoyed how you approached shuli about first calling in and how did he get through. I would have said something like “we all know there are so many fake callers so how did you get on air?” Good on you for using some finesse to uncover the subtleties about the show.

    I like Shuli more outside of the show than on the show. It might actually add more perspective to him on the show and ground him as a worker trying to get his share and move up. Hmm. Good interview.

    Huntsville is actually a sophisticated city...there are many labs and work for the space industry. You will find many people that come from the big cities up north but of course Alabama too...and it is a great city.

      @@Alvan81 try 1/8th of the cost of New York City (especially if you have a family). If you need to pay for day care, it can be $500 a week (per child), in some cases it costs more than this.

    First time watching the host interview. Suggestion: practice asking questions. You ask a question and then go on and on and it’s not great. Build up your question with the color you’re trying to paint, then ask the question and shut up. Some friendly unwarranted advice.

    Omg, i recorded every stern show from 2004 till 2017 (couldnt listen at work anymore) but honstly by 2016 he jumped the shark, kissing Rosies ass, firing Howard TV, Bobo calls... just so boring and repetative. I LOVED this update after all these years, (plus your other talks with ex-Stern guys) great interview! Shuli was always a professional, team player. Well done, ill check em all out!

    Other than his battle with Doug Goodstein, this is Shuli's best performance. He is actually likeable, and shockingly, he said some funny things. Stand up isn't his game, but subtle self deprecating humor might be. Good for him.

    I just joined Shulis Pod. I knew Howard since Private Parts. Then, in 2007, sitting in Amarillo Tx, my life changed. You would have to ask why. Regardless, Sour Shoes and Shulli hit my soul of humanity. I now I stantantly subed Shuli Pod.

      Hey now, Huntsville is an up and coming city, it’s not LA, but it’s a fairly decent city that is involved with NASA i think with a lot of opportunity. I think it was mentioned on Joe Rogan podcast I believe

    As soon as he said he moved to Alabama the writing was on the wall. Either he was leaving the show or the show was gonna make him leave. I wish him the best. The Stern show has always been able to not look back and move on regardless of who leaves the show.

      @@TheGadFly117 the word is he was kind of inched out. They didn't necessarily fire him they just were going to cut his pay and benefits which is pretty much firing without actually firing. It's really common in the workplace especially when companies start to downsize, and I imagine Howard's new contract involves a smaller staff so business stuff occurs. Whether he's able to say he's fired or not... WHO CARES??? Just boring gossip stuff. It's weird how people are fascinated with gossiping about old ugly people.

    I always liked Shuli and I like him more from the first ten minutes of this. I respect him for doing what not many on the stern show do and that's follow his own path. Usually it's just people slyly bitching about Howard because he apparently forever owes them a living.

    The golden years of the Stern show were definitely over when Artie left. And I loved the shows on 101. Miserable men, Jay Thomas, Riley, even the Joke hunt. And Ferrel. I truly miss those days. Unlistenable now. I still listen to 101 and smile everytime I hear Artie, or Eric the Midget, Johnny Fratto, John the stutterer, Elliott Often, Crackhead Bob.....great, entertaining radio
