Thank you for watching🙂🙂. In the area of image preparation for sell you can also use Photopea instead of Photoshop. Photopea is free and it will save you the cost of using Photoshop. Also i noticed that the duplication of the image in Photoshop takes away the pattern (Thanks to those who pointed it out). To be safe and not have issues, kindly maintain the upscaled image from Midjourney, make sure is 12 * 12 dimension and sell it that way. when a customer makes a purchase, they can duplicate the pattern as they deem fit.
Pro Tip: Do not use Export as from PhotoShop it does not export as 300dpi, you need to do File -> Save a Copy to get the dpi specified. Another thing I noticed you put 300 dots per centimeter which is not actually 12x12, however you could always modify the Image Size under the Image Menu to adjust that.
I have been using the export feature and this answered my question why the dpi is off. thank you so much for this tip @ewandobsfan and great video @thezinnystudio
It changes dpi to 72 when exported for the web. But when you uncheck resample image in Photoshop your image size and dpi is same as original file you created.
when you upscale an image, before choosing to save it, open it in the browser (you will see a link at the bottom left of the upscaled image). That will give you a bigger version of that scaled image and then right mouse click, save image as....
You were absolutely amazing! I have been listening to a lot of these and even longer videos did not provide as much information as you did. The step by step approach was wonderful and I was able to follow along and create my fist design in photoshop. I have my very first digital paper and it looks so pretty! I'm so proud of me! LOL! I cannot thank you enough.
Thank you so much for all your videos you provide such great step by step tutorials 🙏🙏🙏 and really deep information. Did you also make any Photopea tutorial on how to create seamless pattern??? i checked Photopea out , it´s very new to me tho...but it didn´t find the option of choosing my pattern from the menu.
Great work my dear sister, Zinny. Keep up the good work. I just subscribed and liked. Thanks to my twin brother who recommended your channel to me and for you doing great work over time. Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬.
That upscale is not good. It will change the original colours and some details. What I recommed is to use stable diffusion. It will keep original colours and details. If you have weak GPU then you will have to use cloud versions. Trust me its a game changer.
I think you made a mistake when creating the pattern. You have scaled up the 1024x1024px midjourney image to 2048px. Then you applied it as a pattern to a 12*12inch area. That is 3600*3600px. The 2048px graphic is no longer a seamless pattern after applying it to the 12 inch area. You should choose a resolution that is a multiple of 2048. For example, 4096 so that it remains seamless afterwards. You can also see it if you pause your video and look at the bottom and the top. You should have checked the final graphics again on the test website. ;) Otherwise, nice video and keep up the good work. :)
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. Yes I noticed the mistake with the photoshop duplication and dimension, and also addressed it in my pinned comments.
Hello please create a video on how to list a digital product I've been confused like physical products having shipping addresses and shipping charges and digital products doesn't have ti ship to a physical place so please make a video regarding all the information, eagerly waiting ❤❤
Thanks for posting this video! It's exactly what I was looking for. When you bring these into Photoshop on a new canvas, should these be changed to CMYK so they're ready for print? I thought CMYK is for printing purposes. If you were to print this as an RGB, the colors won't be as the same as what they see on the screen.
For printing purpose kindly change to CMYK in photoshop or photopea. Printers normally print in CMYK . Like you rightly mentioned printing with RGB might change the color you see on the screen.
Thanks for this video. Really helpful. I had a quick question. The pattern that we list on etsy is the initial tile or the final pattern that you've made in the 12 inch canvas? Asking cos I see listings on Etsy that say its a 12"*12" size but not sure if this is the final repeat or the initial tile?
Hi Zinny, I still get a hairline seam around the tile. Do you know if there is a way to fix this? Thank you so much for your videos by the way, I am loving them!
The seamless checker is just for double checking if the pattern generated works. you have to follow the other steps in the tutorial to save the pattern for use.
you are welcome. i tried with Canva, but it doesn't maintain the pattern when you want to make more.it is better to use platforms like Photopea, is completely free.
Any advice on the optimal setting for BigJPG? The higher settings take eons to render. However, not really sure what would be appropriate for Etsy listings.
4x, art and highest. I find anything more than that is very heavy and is an over kill. But If you are creating elements for things like shirts or mugs. Just take the images and vectorize them. That way you can scale it to any size you want.
I have a whole playlist that works you through step by step. The first video in the play list talks about how to find what to sell so you can start from there.
Hello, those selling Etsy patterns say 12 inches 3600 px. When I look at inch-to-pixel translation sites, I see 12 inches = 1152px. Why do they write 3600px?
I am not to sure why they write that particular pixel. But make sure your images are big enough for what your customers might want to use them for. It is better to have a larger pixel than a smaller pixel
@@thezinnystudio Thank you, I understood when I practiced a little in the design program. I typed 12 inches how many pixels in the search engine, but I did not include 300dpi in the calculation. I know that DPI is a must for clearer printing.
Hi, great video! One question : after the photoshop trick with filling the 12x12 inch document with the pattern, the final image is no longer a seamless pattern. Do you have any solution for that? Thanks!
You are correct thanks for pointing that out, I double checked and it takes away the pattern. what you can do will be to maintain the upscaled image. The Upscaled Image quality still remains for the 12 * 12 and when a customer buys they can multiple the design as the want.
Good question. When I was checking the sizes being offered on Etsy and I noticed the stores offer 12 by 12 inches. When I take the upscaled image and place in that dimension, the pattern for me looks to sparse, hence the multiplication. But if you like the way the pattern looks after upscale. By all means stop there and offer the upscaled image as it is.
thank you for this video. I generated an imagine and checked on that website but its not seamless. I had used the --tile prompt. I have tried multiple times and its not seamless. Would you possibly know what could be an issue?
Sometimes, if there is no space between the last word and '--tile' it might not work. so check the spacing, be sure you are using v5. Kindly try out this prompt "blue roses with light blue background --tile --v 5" ( copy and paste exactly as it is and see if the images are patterned properly, if it does, modify the prompt to what you want and use accordingly). Let me know what the result is.
So when it comes to digital paper the digital paper itelf we give them is NOT the seamless tile simply a large piece ofr 12x12 paper thay can use of the pattern but they will not be able to seamless tile it bigger if they need to only get what we give?
The digital paper you are selling has to be seamless. When you upscale the image, it will be large enough for 12 by 12. so kindly use the image as it, without duplication. If you have to duplicate, then you have to find the dimension that suits the upscaled image to maintain seamless pattern.
@The Zinny Studio what's annoying I am making a 12x12 paper and make my tile pattern 3x3 but when I do the pattern fill function in Adobe it doesn't seem to work and that's with my keeping it at 100% and not shrinking or enlarging. Is there a way to force photoshop to not alter the pattern or there a truck I am missing
I dont have that pattern button, mine are seamless before photoshop but not after. Edit (after much testing I had to just past 4 copies of the pattern into the 12 by 12 photoshop square to get it to line up on the seamless testing website, the ones I did like in this video did not line up. and It looks like the one in the video would not line up. I am only saying this because all 12 different images I have done do not line up after testing on the site
I mentioned in my pinned comment, that one shouldn't duplicate the patterns in photoshop because it takes away the pattern. Just use the image from Midjourney as it after upscale for sell, just make sure is 12 by 12. The customer can chose to duplicate if they want after purchase.
To protect your self and also to use the images commercially, you will have to use the paid version, which give you the commercial license to use their images. If you are not selling the generated images then the free version is fine.

I could not use it as it was too large This is frustrating me. I am trying to learn to make seamless paper for my business
@@melinawester2322 To make it easy for you, dont take the image to photoshop.
