  • A robot searching for the missing Titanic sub has discovered the vessel's landing gear and rear cover, an expert has claimed.
The US Coastguard crew frantically searching for the missing sub today revealed a "debris field" was found in their search.
And now, a rescue expert has claimed the debris found is "a landing frame and a rear cover from the submersible" - sparking fears for the vessels five crew.
David Mearns, who is believed to be friends with two of the Titan passengers, told Sky News he was given the confirmation update in a WhatsApp group involving The Explorers Club.

If the submersible did implode at the bottom, and everything and everyone was pulverised by the pressure, then it truly is a bizzare circumstance for the men in the sub.
Its a bizarre situation because these people who were very interested in the Titanic, and who, in previous years were fascinated with its fate and its discovery and subsequent wreck and debris field are now in fact part of the wreck and debris field.
To have your actual physical being that enjoyed the books, movies and documentaries about the Titanic instantaneously be made part of the actual frozen location on a molecular level is nightmarish.

They made $1million out of this, 250k per person without counting the pilot and CEO. Sometimes being cheap comes at a higher cost than building it properly, specially when you are dealing with lives.

"Managed risks" says it all. Some serious perspective on the challenges of exploring the ocean's depths can be gotten from the BRILLIANT Auguste Piccard, by way of his classic book, "Earth, Sky and Sea", 1956. He was The Man who (with his son) designed and directed the building and successful testing of the "Trieste".
To read Piccard's book is to grasp the difference between a mindset rigorously intent on SAFELY accomplishing a daunting task (touching down on the LOWEST point of the ocean floor by scientifically reducing risk to a reasonably 'absolute minimum'), and one driven (finally) by a financial bottom line--which is too often happy enough to stumble upon pragmatic "success".
