Yes you're right. Either the vessel just landed on the bottom.....the weight of the vessel & of 5 people may be holding it down but currents could be making it drift further away. If they lost power, it could have drifted quite far before landing on the ocean bed. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack. I would call that a serious design flaw. However, when you think about it, if they were that far down in the depths of the ocean, opening the hatch whether from the inside or outside would mean instantaneous death. So they shouldn’t be opening the hatch, even if they have scuba gear or oxygen tanks. The pressure would instantly crush them.
@@rottingravensblood9106 Yes, I don't understand a billionaire being willing to go down in a sub like that. The effective difference between $250k for this and whatever it costs to go down on a real sub designed and rated for the depth is probably not that much.
@@SmallSpoonBrigade this sub WAS designed exactly for this. United States Navy submarines are not nearly rated to such depths, what other vehicles do you expect to be capable of this?

Thus we must always respect the ocean and constantly check the equipment when diving. This tour company disregarded basic dangerous red flags, and in their extreme arrogance fired the whistle blower for pointing out huge safety flaws!
I think people should no longer be allowed to go down there to the Titanic for touring purposes. As tragically beautiful and astonishing as it is to see when you go down, it's falling apart and not what it was, we're past this point of exploration. Scientific studies only at this point.
Not to also mention iirc, it had issues with a coal fire or something soon as it's voyage started, and there were multiple human casualties caused during the construction of the ship. As far as I'm concerned, that ship is bloody cursed and we should leave it to rot with all the bad luck it has with it.

We have reached the point, likely a while ago tbh, that if they are on the seabed, stuck, or without power, they wont be saved. An implosion is the best thing to have happened because they would of been unaware of it and would not have suffered. Eventually they'll find it, bring ti up and we'll know what happened. It would be horrific if its found too late, but still airtight, as they'd of been in that dreadful situation until death. Did they lose their minds? Record messages? Stay calm until they passed out? We might find out in the coming days or weeks.
Hopefully, if they are dead, they ran out of oxygen and just fell asleep. Or an implosion. Nobody will come right out and say there is nothing realistic they can do. Everyone is looking busy, but they all know they can't do a thing. Very sad. Hopefully their souls are right with Jesus.
They died on Sunday when contact was abruptly lost. They and their vessel will never be seen or heard from again, following what was probably a cataclysmic hull failure which caused them to implode. There will be no rescue, they won't be found bobbing on the water somewhere. Experts theorize that the subs carbon fiber hull suffered micro fractures each time it dove, and the cumulative effect of the previous dives finally caused hull failure this time out.
They don't know where the banging is coming from because there is currently no ROV on site that can go to those depths. The furthest they can currently go down is 3000m (effectively useless because the Titanic wreck site is 3800m down). I can't believe that in a device that must cost in the million dollar range there is no location beacon ! Not even a divers flag buoy? Why no one that knows where they started/position long and lat is beyond comprehension ...
You're being awfully generous with how much it cost to make. If you look into it, the sub is a piece of shit and I'm genuinely surprised this hasn't happened sooner.
Bullshit. The Titan was sending regular pings until it got down to the Titanic. It was lost contact with after that. So it definitely got to its destination.
Most likely, there was an emergency ballast release mechanism that was intended to bring it to the surface, but there should also be a beacon, or more, that would help searchers to identify where it's floating on the surface. That doesn't appear to have happened, which means that it likely is either on the bottom or imploded. If the tapping is indeed manmade, then they're pretty much damned to a short period of misery before ultimately asphyxiating as recovering the sub in the available time is more or less impossible.
there was no plan to rescue them. Any ship that could crane them up was to far to reach them in time. Yesterday, this dodged the question of what happens if they find them? And all he could say is if they found them a plan would be devised then. Oof. RIP sub victims. They took the Titan to see Titanic and now they are in Tartarus.

Honestly, the best possible outcome is that they imploded instantaneously and died before losing their minds and clawing at the sides of the toob until their fingers were worn down to raw bone.
Obviously, they know a lot more than they are willing to say publicly. Reading between the lines, it appears they believe there's a solid probability the noises are in fact coming from the Titan, based on the massive additional asset deployment compared to what the reported plan was yesterday. I also found his tone super interesting compared to previous pressers-- when asked about recovery, Captain Frederick was VERY quick to (enthusiastically) point out this is currently "100% a search & rescue mission". (Just my opinion/observations). Keeping my fingers crossed. What a freaking nightmare! *edit: Curious if anyone with expertise has any insight: They won't elaborate or share any conclusions about the noises (despite acknowledging the best experts in the world have been performing analysis since yesterday). I'm sure there are many reasons they're remaining tight-lipped, but would any part of that have to do with not wanting to give away any military/technology aspects?
They won't elaborate to avoid speculation. On search and rescue cases, especially high publicity ones, people will jump to conclusions with whatever little information they hear. The captain probably doesn't want to misinform, or give false hope
its very clear the analysts are picking up banging sounds. And not just the canadians. Multiple experts with analysing multiple dropped probes, are saying the same thing. banging noises from the crash site. But the currents can deflect the sounds so that they appear to be miles away from where they are. So its difficult to triangulate accurately and quickly. But it is clear, they are alive down there, and they are signaling by banging on the titanium porthole, which wouldnt breach the hull integrity. They are alive. time is running out. The difficulty is scanning the ocean floor, in darkness, with only a limited visible range from the lights. And covering enough ground via that method. The more ROVs, the better chance of finding the titan. They have the flyaway deep ocean salvage system, the only machine in the world that has the ability to lift the oceangate titan from that depth. They have succeeded in lifting an f16 and a helicopter from depth that are similar or exceed the titanic wreck. Its a proven system. They need to find the titan. They have only 7 - 10 hours of searching left, that will give a roughly 4 - 7 hour window to get them safely to the surface. Finding them is still possible. And a rescue mission is certainly possible, and exceedingly likely if they the TITAN IS FOUND SOON. ONCE the titan is found, the mission to retrive them will be straightforward. the TITAN NEEDS TO BE FOUND.
It seems asif their press releases are unnatural asif they are crafted and limited to what they can and should say, why is the coast guard the most senior spokesman of all these operations. And why are all these other people showing faces just a little too late...
i’m pretty sure they’re reporting the banging noises to show that all the money and resources being spent for this rescue is yielding SOMETHING but ultimately nothing
I don’t even think they’re sending planes to fly over the area. They’ll just let the countdown expire and release the news that they couldn’t find it after all and stop all operations
That deep , with the failsafes and here we are this far into search they are all dead. No sugar coating it. More than likely a bolt snapped or a leak happened. They didn't suffer. They'd be dead in a millisecond no pain.

A company ignoring safety regulations is even scarier.
Well, I have an open water diving certificate. Yes, the ocean is dangerous even in 30 ft depth that I dove last year. Thus we must always respect the ocean and constantly check the equipment when diving. This tour company disregarded basic dangerous red flags, and in their extreme arrogance fired the whistle blower for pointing out huge safety flaws!
So you should stay in mommies basement until you're 40
It can be...always respect it.
“Waiting to live, waiting to die. Waiting for an absolution that would never come.”
It’s haunting that this could be their fate.
I think people should no longer be allowed to go down there to the Titanic for touring purposes. As tragically beautiful and astonishing as it is to see when you go down, it's falling apart and not what it was, we're past this point of exploration. Scientific studies only at this point.
I’m not an expert-but I’m pretty sure the Titanic fell apart like 100 years ago, that’s why it’s at the bottom of the ocean.
They would've had a better look by remote controlled ROV than out that peephole.
Not to also mention iirc, it had issues with a coal fire or something soon as it's voyage started, and there were multiple human casualties caused during the construction of the ship. As far as I'm concerned, that ship is bloody cursed and we should leave it to rot with all the bad luck it has with it.
im going down there & finding this sub. plus while im there i will fix the titanic & bring it back up to resume its voyages
Hollywood has romanticized the Titanic that's why people are attracted to go and see it for themselves.
Couldn't even imagine being stuck in that thing in absolute darkness, and the panic that must be taking over. Scary as hell to think about.
I would say to the crew “I’ll give you a billion dollars if you get me out of this.” You really gotta motivate people and I think that’d do the trick
I would be more concerned about the cold 🥶. I imagine they have lights.
Edit: I imagine they have to cuddle for warmth.
The best possible outcome is that they imploded instantaneously and died before losing their minds and clawing at the sides of the toob until their fingers were worn down to raw bone.
Actually hell is even more scary, outer darkness, where God is not,and It’s forever, eternal death with all your five senses just like you were on earth, but without a body, that’s why Jesus is so important to receive his gift of salvation, especially before you go on dangerous mission like this.Death doesn’t have to be feared. We have reached the point, likely a while ago tbh, that if they are on the seabed, stuck, or without power, they wont be saved. An implosion is the best thing to have happened because they would of been unaware of it and would not have suffered. Eventually they'll find it, bring ti up and we'll know what happened.

Probably. But there's still hope. I wonder if they will pull them up if they went to the bottom. Or just leave them there with Titanic.
Bullshit. The Titan was sending regular pings until it got down to the Titanic. It was lost contact with after that. So it definitely got to its destination.
@@gyver8448it still had 45 minutes to actually reach the Titanic, something went wrong before they reached the destination
They wont be found till 2066. The year of trogon
there was no plan to rescue them. Any ship that could crane them up was to far to reach them in time. Yesterday, this dodged the question of what happens if they find them? And all he could say is if they found them a plan would be devised then. Oof. RIP sub victims. They took the Titan to see Titanic and now they are in Tartarus.
Yeah, you’re pretty much spot on with that. Not even sure there would be bodies or craft to recover if it imploded.
Respect to this search and rescue team . And reporters make me sick to my stomach . They don’t care about the families , they just want the “ headline”
Hope fully the Titanic all these years later isn't taking more lives to a watery grave.
What a unique and one of a kind totally not copied comment!
It’s Cursed by its own maker he said God couldn’t sink it
@@Synic08Didnt mean to copy anybody. I'm sure you've never made a comment that hasn't been said before. Maybe great minds think alike. So important to point out it wasn't the first time said.
24-48 hours from now is too late...
Honestly, the best possible outcome is that they imploded instantaneously and died before losing their minds and clawing at the sides of the toob until their fingers were worn down to raw bone.
>yeah... I'm with Woods Hole...
>...walks away.
Now *that's* how you flex.
@wolfsdrowkcabWow you got no one laughing, stop trying to be edgy, you're not.
its very clear the analysts are picking up banging sounds.
@wolfsdrowkcab I am shifting my thoughts and prayers from the crew of the Titan to the hope that your song writing is better than your joke writing.
Not a bad assumption. This whole thing really makes you wonder, would they go to this extent if it were you or I missing? I doubt it.
They are doing this because they know they can get paid for this search and rescue exercise by the billionaire
@@rair1118bc they’re rich
I don’t even think they’re sending planes to fly over the area. They’ll just let the countdown expire and release the news that they couldn’t find it after all and stop all operations
Does anyone know if the drumming is rhythmic?
That deep , with the failsafes and here we are this far into search they are all dead. No sugar coating it. More than likely a bolt snapped or a leak happened. They didn't suffer. They'd be dead in a millisecond no pain.
Arriving tomorrow??? That would be recovery mission.
It's already a recovery. They're going to search for it either way. Even if they already know they are gone.
I think the best thing we could all do making comments here just sit down and say a prayer
