Are you looking for a cheap amp modeler? You've probably seen the this pedal from time to time, but is the Zoom 505II any good? Today we find out. Dow the Zoom stand the test of time, or does it just fall in ruins. There are many amp modelers on the market, sadly I don't think this one holds up or is worth the money, unless of course cheap is the only option you can afford. It's decent for practice, but for anything else I would personally just stay away. The clean patches sound pretty good, but the distorted patches are a nightmare. I've tried making a patch on the Zoom but it still came out hideous, and with an ominous low end sandy noise to it. I've also noticed that my specific unit cuts the signal every now and then, they begs for a good kick to fix. So no, the Zoom 505II is not good. It's ok at best, which is disappointing to me considering this is the first Zoom product I've ever used. Sadly it's just not up to modern day amp modeling standards.
