I LOVE turning red cedar! It makes the shop smell so good. Your bowl is beautiful. Nice job and thanks for sharing. 👍🏽
Thanks so much! 😊
Peggy, I love listening to your voice as you explain what you are doing. Lots of thanks from a non-turner.
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous bowl! Who doesn't love ♡ Cedar! The color, the smell, the taste when you smoke a brisket! Kansas City girl here... I know my smoked meats!
Cool!!! I'm a northerner...so not much brisket experience here.
Very cute way to enhance a natural flaw. Pretty bowl. Side note-my daughter just finished her Masters in Nursing. Thank you twice, for your service and for the video.
Wonderful!
Yes!! My great aunt had a yellow one. I never would have remembered without you mentioning it. 😊
So cool!
What a beautiful piece of wood / art
Makes me smile.
Thank you! 😊👍🏻
Commented before the teardrop. Brilliant idea! Really stands out but doesn't take away from the beauty of the cedar! Well done you!
Thank you very much!
Tom here; I love cedar!!! And, the shop smells SO good!! Love that little inlay; I might have
gone with turquoise, but the white worked great. Fun watching and learning!!!
Thanks, Tom!
It turned out very nice. The two-tone color is just beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nicely done....and many many thanks for helping people in need!!!!😷👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks!
Oh you did it now, questions to answer. RPM -- do what us Minnesotans do, "She's turning 800 revs". Candy bowl, oh whoa, deep flashbacks to wonderous times. Grandma had an Emerald Green one made from Crystal. The lid and the bowl both had a saw tooth shape so the lid would mesh with the bowl. Always had it filled with Butter Mints. Thank you for bringing that set of memories out of the dusty archives of my memory. Nothing is better than Grandma's house. Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to 😎😎😎🙃👽👽
Haha! Thanks very much!!!
I enjoy your videos more than other wood turners. I like the way you explain what you are doing.
Thanks 👍
Nice shape and a beautiful, natural, colouring. Stay safe in the workshop and at work.
Thanks, you too!
Nice work, Peggy! Glad to see I'm not the only one using buckets of CA glue LOL! Stay well, and thank you!
Thank you! You too!
Great looking candy dish. Cedar is nice to turn and smells great. You’re not the only one who remembers those green dishes.
Appreciate the Acks code 👍
Thanks!!! Good to know others remember those candy dishes...good memories!
I've seen so few female turners I'm so glad I found your channel! Beautiful bowl. The cedar and inlay look amazing together.
Thanks 👍🏻
I love cedar wood. Great idea n the bowl is fantastic. I also have this fan and I live it. Bought it several years ago and it cooled my house. I set it in a open door way and it drew in cool air. Again I live this bowl. Thank you
Thanks!
Great bowl. I turn cedar myself, I can’t believe you didn’t comment on the smell. I love the smell it leaves in my shop!
Yes, the smell!!!! you are right.
Thank you for being there for those in need, again Blessings to you and your.
Thank you kindly
Gorgeous bowl...and thanks for your work in Healthcare!
😎👍🏻
I imagine that you must be just as surprised as the rest of us when the grain shows up. This time is no different. Between the color of the cedar and the grin of the wood, I would be happy just to look at it for a while. I had an aunt with a candy dish very similar in shape, only it was beaded milk glass. Yup, very happy memories of that.
Thanks, Paul!
I turn a lot of cedar I think it's one of the best looking woods. Great work!
Thanks 😊
Very nice... I like that you accentuate the obvious and it becomes part of the whole.
Glad you liked it!
Great piece of wood plus excellent design and woodworking makes for a beautifully skilled piece of art! Great job! Bravo!
Glad you like it!

I love your channel! I really appreciate the lack of music when you are narrating. I find that distracting on other channels. Your voice is calming and it helps me concentrate on the details of what you are doing. Great work!
Thanks very much! 👍🏻
Beautiful bowl. I like cedar. It's a funny wood. It can have really hard areas, and really soft areas, all in the same piece.
Thank you very much!
Three years later, but this is quite beautiful indeed!

I don’t have any of those bowls, but both my grandparents and my parents had those candy dishes! Thanks! That’s a fun memory for me. Cedar is so tough to work with but so satisfying to see the end product. You did a great job! Now it’s my turn to turn a cedar bowl. Thanks for the great instructional videos

Nice design and execution. Cedar is such fun to work with. I especially like using it for platters. Great color and grain patterns. Lovely piece as always.

Beautifully done Peggy! Red Cedar has lots of "surprises" and that teardrop came out great. I'm glad I was able to share a wood type you haven't used before. Plus, your shop will smell like an old cedar chest for weeks! Thanks again and Peace Out 🍻
Thanks so much, Tim! I appreciate that. I'll get to turning the 2nd one soon!!!
I just love the red grain on that cedar. Great job

Great work, you are the first lady wood turner I have seen. I am a fellow Yorkshire person-Leeds, long retired from a medical field with many interests and hobbies. About to take up wood turning and will be using Yorkshire Grit instead of the USA product, which I guess does the same job. Look forward to seeing more of your work. Stay safe, 🦠 and kind regards from ‘Down Under’. Southern Cross Observatory-Tasmania 42 South. 👍😁🇬🇧🇦🇺🔭

Great looking bowl 👍
Thanks 👍
Great job 👏 😊
Thank you! 😃
Like many turners, even those of us who have been doing it for decades or 10 days, the wood will speak to you. Cedar likes to hmmm and hawww, that's why its face is red. And, we must donate to the wood gods on occasion. Enjoy, as long as you continue to learn, you not making a mistake, it just an educational moment. 😊
Thanks very much~
Lovely
Thanks!
