Peggy honey, you came out the winner. And now you have a fantastic chili bowl or cereal bowl. Y'all have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks, Richard!
No...No.... don’t color a figured bowl ... wait ... wait ... Yes! Yes! Color that figured bowl. And how you pictured to color the inside and leave the outside natural was tremendous. What a beautiful vessel. Congrats!
😊 thank you
Nice work Peggy!
Thank you!

Beautiful 🌹 - Excellent camera angles showing tool placement 👍
Thank you very much!
That is a beautiful piece of wood! I love how the grains run-in different directions and the color layering, I had my doubts but it turned it fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Jeff!
I would imagine high end guitar bodies go through a similar process. Without the turning.
Really beautiful.
Probably, yes.
Never seen a multi color beautiful I love it
Thanks Bart!!
Very nice. The two colors work very well together. 🤓
Thank you! 😊

Beautiful bowl
Thank you very much!
Beautiful work Peggy. After your recommendation I bought a bowl gouge from Carter & Son. I love it! It is heavy and really holds it place when turning. So today my new roughing gouge arrived. I am liking Carter tools.
Wonderful! They are really great products!!!! Glad you tried them!!! Happy turning.
Please consider a live turning show please.. Awesome work
Maybe one day!
Not usually a fan of stains or colored wax buff/rub on wood with such beautiful natural grain pattern as this but you were able to really enhance its natural beauty. Great job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful!! Love it.
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful piece!!
Thank you! Cheers!
love the colors
Thanks!
Great Work! Very relevent for me because I just purchased a number of Carter and Son tools AND had a large, old maple fall in my driveway Wednesday night. The driveway is still blocked but I already have several slabs of the tree in my shop ready to turn! Stay safe and sane during these times.
Fantastic!
Very nice. Stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
Another gorgeous piece well done😀
Thank you! Cheers!
Another cool piece. I'm ordering the Acks products today. I like the shine you get from them.

Banjo resonator made of this maple would be nice. Color is great!
That would be cool!
I'm a senior citizen and fairly new to woodturning....I am not, however, too old to learn something new...and I always do when I watch your videos. Keep up the good work and peace out.
Thanks, Michael! Peace out!
Maravilhoso trabalho feito por você, inspirador parabéns
Muito obrigado, agradeço!
I am a beginner Woodturner. I have always been partial to natural finished wood. Watching your videos has me changing my thinking. It’s amazing the beauty you bring out of the wood by adding the colors to your projects as proven by this week’s turning. Very nice job. Thank you.
Thanks, Jeff!!! I appreciate the kind words!
Beautiful bowl Peggy! I love the way that the color adds to the beauty of the piece without hiding that amazing grain. Have a blessed week! - Ed
Thank you! You too!
Simplistically colorful with awesome contrast between the inside and the outside of the bowl! You keep killing it Peggy! Good on you!
Thanks, Mike!!
That little bit of color turned out fantastic. Thanks for sharing Peggy.

Really interesting bowl! I love the color contrasts. 💜 Stay safe.
Thank you! You too!
I really like what you did with the coloring, it looked natural. The bowl turned out beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
nice job of this. Timely as I scored several pieces of hard maple with lots of spalting at the local cemetery a few weeks ago.
Good stuff! Have fun and thanks for watching!!!
Love the overlay of the RPM, thank you. beautiful work as always.
Thank you too!
every time you go to color something I cringe.. and every time I am proven wrong.. guess Im more narrow minded. Love it!
Hey, thanks. Don't worry, I've cringed myself, but keep going to see what it will be in the end!
color is beautiful still on your lathe

Thanks!
@@PFWoodturning you welcome

You make excellent videos! Thanks
Thanks so much 😊
Beautifully done LOVE LOVE the grain it pops be safe keep up the beautiful work
Thanks so much 😊
@@PFWoodturning You are very welcome
I just discovered your channel a couple of days ago, and i love what you do. One thing I appreciate about your channel is that I don´t see any stickers. Other turners spend several minutes talking about other turners and showing stickers from them, and there are stickers all over the lathe and on the walls. I use to skip those annoying minutes. You go straight to the project, and that is what we want to see.
About this project, that bowl is beautiful, and I like when you are experimenting with colors. Before I saw your videos I was negative to coloring beautiful wood, but you do it so well. When I saw your video ”The flaming burl” and you talked about maybe people wonder how you could color such beautiful wood, und you explained the reason: ”Because I want to”, I almost fell in love, just because of those words.
Thanks, Erik! Glad you found the channel. I appreciate your thoughtful comments!
You are absolutely brilliant as usual, nice job. You must of gotten that talent from your father!
Yes, I must have! I'll let him know you said so!!!
Beautiful! I love your use of color only on the inside.
Thank you so much!
Really thought I was going to hate the colour as I love natural wood but wow, warm, bright, showing the lovely grain and a brilliant contrast to the outside. Thanks for the inspiration
Thanks, Lynn. This color really brought out the figure nicely.
Very nicely done, love the coloring stains ......tempting to try! Stay safe and cheers from MT.
Thank you!!!
Love that you left that small edge on there. Nicely done 👍
Thanks 👍
MADE THAT GRAIN POP REALLY LOUD COOL BOWL :)
:-) thanks much!!!
Love it. Can’t go wrong with figured maple. Glad someone replaced that broken center finder! :)
Right?! Me too! Thanks for watching!
Well Peggy another beautiful piece bet you could almost smell the syrup when you started turning not been a good week in the world but you soon brightened it up STAY SAFE Peace out and that colour really made me fancy a big bowl of chilli x
Ha! Now I'm hungry!! Thanks!!!
Awesome Goldy Locks as always. To answer your question ofcourse I am! :) 😘😎
Awesome! Thank you!
Beautiful as always I love the way the colours make the grain pop even more intensely, its gorgeous 👍👍👍
Thanks so much 😊
Lovely bowl...the figured maple is gorgeous and I love the bark inclusion.
Thanks, Carol!
Simply gorgeous. Stay safe and well!
Thank you! You too!
The colours you have chosen really pull out the grain of the wood. It's a lovely look. I have found when I use the Intrinsic Colours how the Honey really pulls the warmer colours together. A fabulous bowl and thanks for posting.
Thanks very much!!! The honey really is a great color!
Beautiful bowl. I've always liked the effect of layering colors.
Thank you very much!
That's some really beautiful grain and the finish makes it really stand out. Thanks for sharing
Thank you very much!
Good evening Peggy. I hope you are fine and stay that way. Just want to say it is a joy watching your new videos every time.Thank you. I am glad i did subsribed. 🌷🌼🌺
Thank you so much! Cheers!
very nice job! those colors made that grain pop! yes...i am subscribed!
Awesome! Thank you!
Mesmerizing color combination and I really like how you left part of the natural feature on the edge, the bowl certainly has a character like no other.
Thanks very much! :-)
Nice job Peggy, like how this came out. New video every week, I need to stop working in the Paddock and get some turning done, esp. as I've now got the 24/36, I've been so slack. On the plus side, lot's Sheep and Goat hugs.
:-) ha! Thanks. Get that 2436 turning!
Dang! I like it!
Thanks!
Looks really good Peggy ,you ever try any lidded boxes or hollow forms.
Yes I have-- some of each, but def more bowls and platters than the others.
beautiful , i loved the honey, really accented it, i thought.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the Intrinsic colors. Used the Earth color just yesterday on a project to give the wood a fine rich color.
Wonderful!
It made me really nervous to see you putting all that color stain on! Boy was I surprised by how beautiful that turned out. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much! 😊
Love the bowl, I've tried a few colors on small bowls.
Thanks much!
Magnifique 😍 i Will try to find your color and finish product... ? Tanks for enjoy... !
Thank you! Cheers!
It looks cool but I would like it more if the color of inside and outside matches together
Thanks for watching.
Nice wood turning, PF! I like it. Your wood turning is a good way to occupy yourself during these difficult times around the nation. Stay safe and healthy, lady!!!
Thanks. You too!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks very much!
I love the bowl. It’s beautiful. And to your credit I have stopped cringing when I hear you start talking about coloring a piece of already beautiful wood. 😆 I didn’t find the link for the colors in the description though. I am curious, do you know if they are food safe.
Thank you so much!
Try www.hampshiresheen.com
😁
Thank you!
Great video and beautiful bowl. I've seen you and others do the sanding sealer and then the Ack's products. I've been trying to use oil to finish my bowls, do you know if that negates sanding sealer and the Ack's products or can they be used together? Thanks
Thanks. Honestly, I don't know. But if you contact Ack's, I'm sure they know. Go to their website @ www.ackswoodpaste.com and they are very good about emailing back.
What a beautiful bowl! The pattern is simply fantastic. And I dig your choice to color the inside. I'm also just curious as to your preferred sanding sealer?
Thank you very much! I like Zinnssers sealer.
Очень жалко ,что не понимаю ваш язык.но работа супер!
Thanks for watching.
Great job! Could you let us know what size blank you started with and what size the finished bowl became. Very hard to determine size from a video. Thanks!
Aure. The blank to start was 3.5"x10" and I haven't measured the finished piece.
