      I got mine for $15 🤣 I already have a series x , was on eBay and decided to buy a listing of 2 Xbox ones , the original , in good cosmetic condition. No cables , no controller for $30, $55 on checkout . One was dusty and couldn’t read discs . The other was dusty and had a noisy fan . They got here I connected them and they both did work . I cleaned the one with noisy fan , replaced the fan , paired it with a controller I already had and nb2k17 and madden 17 and sold it on offer up for $140 🤠 I cleaned the one that was dusty and couldn’t read disc and decided to keep it ! It’s basically digital only but I already have a series x for discs or blu rays if I need to pop one in . I already have gamepass , couple of series controllers , so this was a come up in disguise lol still functions well and it freed up space on my series x since I’m using the Xbox one for only Xbox one and 360 and original Xbox games , leaving me more space on my series x for series x/s games only . Anyone who is on a budget , I recommend the Xbox one, yes even the original model as I tested halo infinite on it and still works fine , that’s coming from a diamond 5 player on series x and now on the one occasionally. Great budget option for sure .

    From 2017, until December 2023, I gamed exclusively on XBOX One (VCR model). I played so many good games on it, including very demanding games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Halo Infinite, all running natively in the XBOX One. Never had an issue. Not only that, but backwards compatibility allowed me to play some great games from OG XBOX and XBOX 360, that I would not had experienced if it wasn't for the XBOX One. Last December I bought a Series X and thought of selling my XBOX One, but decided to leave it as a secondary gaming machine and Blu-Ray player on our second TV.

      I enjoy the Xbox 360; it's my favorite system, and I own four for display and use. I acquired xbox one for its slightly faster loading times and improved graphics. It's a solid system, especially since the disc drive can play movies. With its proper applications and other features, it's almost a Windows clone, particularly if you're just using Edge and the Xbox app, which are my main uses. I hardly need my PC anymore, except for the data on it when I need to create a quick invoice, as I can use Word on Xbox. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but it's possible. What I mean is, the experience isn't bad at all for what you're getting; it's essentially a compact starter computer. Depending on its use, it's also an impressive next-gen Xbox 360 system. However, I do miss having downloaded music, something my PC and the 360 offer that the One doesn't handle well.

    • @AshtonGodbout
      @AshtonGodbout 4 месяца назад

      I grew up with every gaming system, though Atari wasn't much in the picture during the 2000s. Instead, Nintendo and the Wii reigned supreme. I've owned every Xbox and remote, experiencing nearly every gaming system and its computer counterparts over the years. In my opinion, the original Xbox remains the best in the lineup. It may be old and somewhat forgotten, but it's a true gem for those interested in retro or modern gaming. With keyboard and mouse support, plus multiple controller options via adapters, I could even use a 360 controller on my original Xbox if I wanted. Despite its slower speeds and the fact that it won't receive new updates-likely making this its last dashboard-I'm content to say it had a great run and can rest as a notable console in history. However, since it's still common, affordable, and functional, it's an excellent system to use. With proper care, it could last another 11 years. I haven't upgraded much, and it's served me well. I even reverted to this original model after trying all the newer ones. I never switched to the Xbox X because the Series S wasn't a significant step down, except for some improved ventilation and graphics processing speed, in my opinion.

    • @AshtonGodbout
      @AshtonGodbout 4 месяца назад

      Depending on the Xbox model you use, and aside from its modern specifications, the Series S supports 1440p, whereas the original Xbox One supports full 4K. While counting pixels may not make a significant difference, if you're seeking a system that matches your display, this could be worth considering. I stream movies from my Xbox to avoid using my PC when it's not necessary. I've moved away from using a TV since I don't binge-watch television shows or movies. Instead, I play them while working or sleeping, rarely watching a film in its entirety. It's convenient to have a lightweight system capable of running online and disc titles, as well as music CDs, if you still have them. The Series S doesn't seem as useful to me since the Xbox One nearly meets all my requirements. I don't need a fast system, just a reliable one. Despite lower graphics, which don't bother me after using the PS2 and 360, it's quite up-to-date compared to other systems, even without considering the hardware specifications.

    Great video. I loved my Xbox One when I got it in 2016 and about 5 games for about $325. I donated it to my friends son when I upgraded to the One X and he played it for a couple years and had fun with it. When it comes down to it they are way more reliable than early 360s and you can play physical media in them. Good stuff for $70-$80

    Theres many factors are definitely worth considering for the One, specifically the S and X imo due to the better hardware which opens up more games to being far more enjoyable:
    1. Price as you mentioned which can make the system and its games a great bang for your buck purchase.
    2. Disc drive which accepts used games and Smart Access games which dont need an online check vs the Series that forces it to play the same game. Also Bluray and CD playback which baffles me how the PS4/5 got rid of it (just to promote their music streaming app).
    3. MS Reward Points which definitely is handy for making games cheaper, I got Halo Infinites BP for free because of it.
    Add in an SSD and that thing can provide a ton of fun, but I would certainly avoid the original.

    These videos are fun and interesting, seeing how a PS4 or XB1 can run modern games and what deal you are getting for a older system. I know it is not the same thing but I think it would be worth doing a similar video on the Wii U. Those are around $150 and the give you access to the Wii U games that have ported over to Switch. And it plays Wii games. Something to consider. Thanks for the video!

    • @JaceAVinson
      @JaceAVinson 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@gabrieljohnson1854 What are you thinking of? The Xbox One as it was when it was revealed?
      Microsoft changed the Xbox One after all the backlash and the Xbox Series X isn’t like how the Xbox One was suppose to be either.
      You can sell used physical Xbox games and you can use them more than once, and it doesn’t download a digital version because if you buy the game physically, you need to insert the disc every time you wanna play that game.
      The majority of my Xbox game collection and my game collection in general is physical games. All of my physical Xbox games work exactly the same as my physical games for other consoles and my physical movies.
      I play digital games too, but I will always prefer digital being an option, rather than a replacement. That doesn’t just apply to video games, that also applies to movies, TV shows, music, books, all types of media.
      With digital and streaming it can be taken away from you anytime and made not available at all unless you pirate it. With the physical version of a game, movie, or other type of media you actually OWN that copy. You can keep that piece of media forever.
      You can also sell that copy, return it, give it away, or let someone borrow it if you want to. Plus with physical you can get a used copy which can save you money. You can’t do any of those with a digital copy.
      Also look at what happened with the Wii, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PSP, and soon the Xbox 360. Eventually when these consoles are old, outdated, and discontinued. Their digital stores are shut down, leaving a lot of games that were only released digitally to become lost and unplayable for anyone who didn’t already have them. That happening to a digital only console would make the system USELESS. But luckily you can still buy and play a lot of games for those systems since they were released physically. Physical media is important for preservation.
      Also not everyone around the world can get a good internet connection, which you NEED for digital/streaming. You don’t need any internet to use a physical copy.
      I will ALWAYS support physical media.

    If you're a little more technical and are comfortable taking the Xbox One apart, I highly recommend dropping in an SSD. The difference in the loading times and just overall responsiveness, even on just the home screen, is night and day. I did this on my old One X and don't regret it a bit. You can get a decent 512GB model for like 40 or 50 bucks if not less. Maybe that cuts too deep into the value proposition of such an inexpensive box, but if you can make it make sense, I wouldn't hesitate.

Well I got it and I wanted to play all the old games that I missed from not having that plus other games that I could play when I had my PS3. Well about 3 weeks after it got red ringed. A super bummed in their head already bought a ton of games for it so I went on a hunt and was able to find an Xbox One. The optical drive was bad so I ordered a new one but just replace the laser since that was the easiest way without having to solder anything. And I have to say I do like the Xbox interface a lot better than the PS interface. And so far it's been going very well. I'm playing mass effect one not the legendary version right now. Good times.

    In modern day the xbox one has some features that modern console have / don’t. Think of it as a 4/1 with the xbox one you can play last gem games, music CDs and blue ray movies.

    The problem with Xbox One is its age newer games are releasing as current gen only leaving Xbox one behind and if Xbox one is included there's tons of problems look at cyberpunk 2077 it runs above 60 fps on my Series X at near 4k(1800p) with no problems or bugs on Xbox one it crashes it dips into 20 fps and freezes constantly. If you buy Xbox One in 2024 don't get mad when you run into A bunch of problems.

    you can buy a series s for just a little more money or even the the same price on rare occasions seconhand market, the xbox one is not worth it, go for a series s, even if a little more expensive you get so much more (full access to the new generation, faster loading speeds, better graphing and framrates for a lot of xbox one games, etc).
    The extra stuff you get well worth the money.

    This summer I bought an Xbox One X for the equivalent of about $100 and tried Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Can't imagine a gaming experience with better value for money.

    Your video was so convincing that I went out and bought one. Only one problem, I already have one.
