What makes the Lexington Lab Bands rendition all the more amazing is that Tom Scholz recording was done with Tom Scholz doing both guitar parts. LLB is apparently doing this live, with two different guys doing the guitar parts. No offense to Scholz, but he had quite a bit of time to perfect these parts, and splice it together, mix it, etc, while the band is doing it live.

Nothing like commenting 4 years after the fact but here goes. Seems like the good Lord moved all the great guitar players to the Lexington, KY area because no matter what or who you play, you folks are the best of the best. And young Mr Austin on keyboards who I was blessed to meet at the concert Labor Day weekend again I will say your fingers move faster than I can think and you are one talented young man and really nice guy to get to talk to. Looking for next years concert guys. Take care and God bless.

Sure, I could go find a video of Boston performing this song back in the ‘70s. It’d be fine. But the fact that this cover is so accurate not only in getting the notes right but also reproducing the same guitar/drum/synth tones makes me see how loved this music still is. Rock on!

I can still remember sitting in the cinder block added back room of my parents farm house in Missouri around 1979 listening to this record at 5 or 6 years old and thinking it was the greatest thing I had ever heard. Turns out 43 years later I was right all along.

This album is a synphony of perfection. Let me say this another way.... IT'S FKN' PERFECT!!! The F word is necessary to accurately describe this album correctly. Steely Dan and Floyd are right up there too, along with others, but never has there been more hits on one album that make so many cry to this day. Only Scholz could go from a chimey 12 string into a white hot solo or use hand claps and tamborines with super melodic creamy harmony guitar duet. Never mind Delp's impossible high notes. There's so much going on, and yet you can whistle most of the slower tunes. I just can't believe how much the later albums, although good, did not have this same formula. This album will live on forever, unless millennials ban anything they don't understand in the year 2032.

Don't Look Back was also a great album. I mean REALLY GREAT. It ranks up there to me with the first time of falling in love. It was that great. Listen to Delp's vocals on A Man I'll Never Be. I can't even...
