Sometimes a ‘like’ doesn’t come close to giving the credit that’s deserved. This is flawless! Outstanding in every way 👏
Another great cover, The Brothers would be proud. Can’t wait until September
Well said!
Real music is a thing of the past it seems like. Could anything like this come out today? I doubt it. Thanks to all of you for the memories.
You're so right. If I didn't know it was LLB and I was just listening to the music LLB was the Allman Brothers. I honestly wouldn't have noticed the differences. Well, actually I would have. One of the piano/organ solos in the ABB version sounded like a finger slide or hit a wrong note. It was always part of the song, and I was waiting for the LLB to play it
Mm m@@georgemichael7178
Amazing , Dickey Betts and Greg Allman would be proud
Why can’t musicians today create music like this anymore?
That's ironic - because you just listened to musicians that created music like this *nowadays* . They didn't compose it though - but I'm sure there are still many excellent songwriters out there too.
At the gym I go to, at least half of the music has samples from decades ago, and my 30-something trainer is always surprised when I say something like, "Oh, those horns are sampled from Chicago 'Street Player'".
All the good riffs have been taken
Same reason they can't read cursive writing
Incredible
RIP Dickey Betts. Excellent rendition of this song Dickey wrote for his daughter Jessica.
And that folks, is why Lexington Lab Band is the best. No debate.
-edit- commented wrong reply :-)
Every time this bass player is on, I just love watching him. He is so stoic about the whole thing. Doesn't miss a thing and is great. But will not smile. Not once😊
Randy is a awesome player and a awesome dude!
As a fellow bassist, I'm well aware of the stereotype: Q: "How many bassists does it take to screw in a light bulb?" A: "None... you don't need light on that side of the stage." 🤣
I was thinking the same thing. Randy is always rock solid.
Love Randy's tone-what amp is he groovn' on? Just sounds right.
3:30 is about as good a bass player smile as you'll get. That little head turn with the groove is all a bass player needs ;-)
Duane, Greg, Betts are you listening? you are still here. Music never dies....
OMG!! Amazing tribute!! ... RIP Dickey Betts. You are remembered right here.
Yep beautiful ❤❤❤
Please…. Take the time and close your eyes and just listen!! You will transported back to 1973 and a great time for music. Perfect job LLB!!!
Sounds just like the brothers! Beautiful!
I saw the Allman Brothers do this tune at Eastown Theater in Detroit. With all the original members!
Hey babies that was the Allman Brothers on 99.3 WFRE rocking Kentucky with classic rock. Great job. Can't tell the difference. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
D93 Bowling Green ain't no joke neither! And I live in Tampa😅
Wow, that is incredible musical talent right there!! Everyone is right on time, perfection!!! Thank you for doing this fantastic song!!!
That was perfect!
Pure music heaven...... The Allman Brothers would be proud !!!!!!!!!
Definitely
Took me right back, thanks for that.... and Thank You Allman Brothers and Dickey Betts.
One more flawless example of what these excellent musicians are capable of doing. Great job. We named our daughter after this song.
The duel guitar work between Lefty and Jason Bateman is superb. The whole band in this tune is spot on!
Tonight, on TOP GEAR
I wear some goggles, Richard falls down a small slope, and James says "hello" to a man
I drive a tractor, James makes some gin, and Richard gives his daughter driving lessons.
I fight some sheep, James says “Cheese”, and Richard sleeps with his Oliver
What an incredible tribute to Dickey Betts and the Allman Brothers! The only difference between this version and the original is the people playing. Everything else is IDENTICAL!! Unbelievably fantastic! Thank you guys for this one!
I can tell you that my neighbours are going to enjoy hearing this one, whether they want to or not. Superb!
What an absolute joy it is to hear a southern rock classic resurrected so lovingly and brilliantly by a younger generation of artists. Thanks from the bottom of my heart, gentlemen!
*lexington Lab Band* Bravo well done, thank-you for taking the time top bring us along. GOD Bless.
I am ever in awe of the caliber of musicians associated with LLB. It makes for a pure listening experience.
Flawless performance. The complexity of the song, the note-for-note rendition, and the cohesiveness of all the band members to bring it all together is amazing. Takes me all the way back to the 70’s when I first heard this song.
I have a daughter named Jessica.
When I hear this song, I think of her beautiful face.
You guys did the Allman Brothers right !
When a seven and half minute song seems too short ; you've got to be doing something right.
This is simply another outstanding performance! Don’t you guys get tired of being soo good?! This is not an easy “cover “ and you performed it to perfection! Sounded like the original, doesn’t get better than THAT! When you play as well as the best, you’re awfully dang good! Well done, well done, BRAVO!
The best rock instrumental song ever then and now!
This group is my library of music now......amazing.
100% PERFECT! Love it! What a tribute to Dickie Betts! So glad this music lives on!
The best cover of Jessica I’ve ever heard. I think Dickey would approve!
Please do Melissa, One Way Out, Whipping Post or Ain't Wasting Time No More. Awesome job.
You guys can’t be that damn good
You never pick an easy piece of music to redo.
Thank you. PRIDE
Maybe a little too good ....
My dad used to play this one for me….as far back as I can remember. He’s been gone 8+ years now, but I still smile every time this one comes on. Such an incredible tune in the soundtrack of our lives. Well done LLB! 🥰 🙏🏻
An excellent tribute to Dickey Betts. If he heard this fantastic cover, he was dancing in heaven. Thank you guys for this awesome piece of music.
One of the best ROAD SONGS and you guys NAILED it.....Awesome!!!!!
One of my favorite Allman Bro's tunes.Ya'll did it right..
Thanks again LLB for sharing your talents. Wonderful performance of this song
Tonight on TOP GEAR. LOL😄😄😄😄
Sometimes music is great with no vocals. This is incredible. Everyone played their parts to perfection. I could get lost in this one and keep listening to it over and over. LLB completely smashed this one. I know the Allman Brothers would definitely approve this cover and be proud of it. Fantastic job everyone.
Phenomenal! I never would have known it wasn't the Allman Brothers.
RIP Dickey.
I cannot tell you how much I love Jessica. My favorite instrumental of all time!!!
Bloody great job!
Thank you!!!

Best 7 and 1/2 minutes I've spent in a long time. Outstanding!
All I can say for you guys is, “The Allman Brothers would be proud of your hard work.” Well done Lex!
That is just UNBELIEVEABLE ! I am BLOWN AWAY ! Absoulty PERFECT on every level fella's

The timing is beautiful with the recent passing of Dickie Betts. Well done LLB.
L.L.B. keep doing what you do!!! Rock America and whoever else is listening!!! 😁🎸🎶
Listening and watching from South Africa.
WOW! Just wow! This made me happy cry a bit. Excellent job by everyone and perfect time to release this. Mr. Betts would be honored.

Standing ovation for this cover is well deserved….congratulations LLB.
Every single one of you!!!!! Amazing!!! There is no one that could ever touch LLB musicians! 🎶 Come on Labor Day weekend!!! Can’t get here soon enough!
❤3LB
That just touched my heart. I started playing guitar listening to the Allman Brothers and named my daughter Jessica. With the passing of Dickey Betts 😥 and playing what I believe is the best song he ever wrote, ..... well done you guys.... well done
Holy smokes nailed the guitar solo!
Awesome!!! RIP Dickey. One of the greats. Thank you LLB
Jessica has always been my happy time song!!! GR8 job guys!!!!
Lexington area drummer here. I didn't know who Tucker Wilson was before watching this great performance. I sure do now. That dude is fantastic here.
Would love to connect. Send us a note through our website
@@LexingtonLabBand Done!
When I was working, I used to start my day listening to this song now that I’m retired that brings back a lot of memories. Thank you for playing that.❤❤ awesome
It's easy to get lost in a long instrumental. This was pure perfectiom......
Perhaps my favorite Allman Brothers song and you guys knocked it out of the park! Outstanding! Bravo!
It’s a quiet cloudy day in East Tennessee and the Lexington Lab Band just burst thru the clouds and my feet are tapping and as usual I feel blessed to hear their music. Thanks to all!
The Allman Brothers were one of my favorites when I was growing up. You guys nailed it. You're band is so tight and you never miss a beat....
For us in the uk it used to be top gear a car show opening music well done guys brilliant as ever thanks for sharing 🤔👏😎🇬🇧
OMG A FLAWLESS MASTERPIECE! BRAVO!
Nailed every part. Eyes closed, THAT’S Dickie Betts!
Dicky Betts knew what he was doing! LLB that was AMAZING! Dicky is smiling down on that one!!! PEACE FROM SHELBYVILLE TENNESSEE!
Wonderful musicianship by all... thanks!
Speechless….so pretty and clean….🌹🌹🌹
Note perfect! What an amazing group of musicians!
Dickie Betts would be proud. Absolutely flawless tribute.
Note for note perfection and you got the tempo changes just right, too. More Allman Brothers, please!
Ich kann garnicht genug kriegen;super!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👋👋👋
I had the album with this song on it. I sent your version to a friend from that time. His response after hearing yours was one word,,,,,WOW.
That was the BEST!!! Dickey would have been proud! I vote for that being on the summer concert set list ! Thanks.
The song that says it all without saying anything. Beautiful Thank you 🙏
Simply…Outstanding!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ok I have to ask: do you record in one take, or is the video made afterwards? (Not that it makes it any less impressive by the way!)
Great questions! We film each song 3 times and use the audio and video from those takes to edit/mix the final video.
[In Clarkson voice]: Tonight...!
One thing about a monster instrumental is that everybody gets a chance to show off a little. This demonstrates there is not a weak link among you. FANTASTIC STUFF!!!
Got that right🔥🔥🔥🔥
The energy with the way they covered the song just like The Allman Brothers back in the day is awesome 👌
EPIC JAM!!!! Man O man, does this take me back!!! Flawless job by all!!! Keep em comin!!!
Yeeeeeeeah! Thank you guys for letting me relive my youth all in one place. Whenever I see a new vid from you, I already know, “this is gonna be good.”! Play on guys, play on.
Makes me wanna Eat a Peach...
Top gear theme & was played on the radio during there road trip US Muscle cars special too the bonnievile salt flats
You guys ALWAYS blow this old man away. Loved it !
I've said it so many times on this channel, but never was it more deserved than with this: Is it LLB, or is it Memorex??? OMG... I'm blown away!!
That is Tucker Wilson on drums, he is Justin Moore’s drum on tour… just in case you want to know come the LLB is so great this is the company they keep.
This is what Allman bros were. Not mega millionaires, just virtuosity in the hands of regular Americans.
Better than any take the "Allman Brothers" did after Chuck Leavell departed, this song begs for that piano break and rhythm.
AWSOME ...Thank you Stephan and Roger along with the rest of the LLB crew
Thanx guys for doing this Altman brothers classic. Fantastic achievement and gave me back memories to the best 😢times of my life. I have listend lots of times to your cover version and got thrilled every time. ❤
For a moment I thought I had been Raptured and this is where I landed! Thanks for an Allstar performance of yet another favorite of mine.
OK guys, I’m a long time fan here and although I was never a huge ABB fan, I’m very familiar with their music and I just have to say that you guys put me on the floor with this one. Roger replicated about every note of the Betts solo with pinpoint accuracy. I’m blown away.
Wow ! How can you not happy listening to that song. Always my favorite driving song. It is a pretty difficult play but as always you guys nailed it.
I closed my eyes and was taken back to the Allman Brothers playing this. Flawless
How about In Memory of Elizabeth Reed by the Allman Brothers Band
😳😳😳 ok how perfect was that??? excellent.. the mix was perfect.. percussion stood out when it should.. and that "octave" work the keyboardist displayed was flawless.. the whole thing was..
Beautifully executed! What more can be said? I loved it.
Only thing that would have been kooler....2 drummers
