      You're so right. If I didn't know it was LLB and I was just listening to the music LLB was the Allman Brothers. I honestly wouldn't have noticed the differences. Well, actually I would have. One of the piano/organ solos in the ABB version sounded like a finger slide or hit a wrong note. It was always part of the song, and I was waiting for the LLB to play it

    Every time this bass player is on, I just love watching him. He is so stoic about the whole thing. Doesn't miss a thing and is great. But will not smile. Not once😊

      Me too, the guy is great. I once had an older musician who was kind of a mentor to me, and he would always say you don't need to jump around and make faces, just play the music.

      My twin sons were born in 1973. They grew up listening to the Allman Brothers and have played some of their songs in their band. NEVER LIKE THIS - OF COURSE!!! ❤

    You can never match a vocal song because you just can't match another person's voice but as far as instrumentals go, this is without a doubt the greatest cover version that I have ever heard by far. They've got it down to a T. This is officially the GOAT of instrumental cover versions.

    Flawless performance. The complexity of the song, the note-for-note rendition, and the cohesiveness of all the band members to bring it all together is amazing. Takes me all the way back to the 70’s when I first heard this song.

    What an incredible tribute to Dickey Betts and the Allman Brothers! The only difference between this version and the original is the people playing. Everything else is IDENTICAL!! Unbelievably fantastic! Thank you guys for this one!

    My dad used to play this one for me….as far back as I can remember. He’s been gone 8+ years now, but I still smile every time this one comes on. Such an incredible tune in the soundtrack of our lives. Well done LLB! 🥰 🙏🏻

    That just touched my heart. I started playing guitar listening to the Allman Brothers and named my daughter Jessica. With the passing of Dickey Betts 😥 and playing what I believe is the best song he ever wrote, ..... well done you guys.... well done

    Sometimes music is great with no vocals. This is incredible. Everyone played their parts to perfection. I could get lost in this one and keep listening to it over and over. LLB completely smashed this one. I know the Allman Brothers would definitely approve this cover and be proud of it. Fantastic job everyone.

    Holy Smokes...this band is so freaking tight...
    I cant put into words what i just witnessed and listened to..
    For some reason, this song always brought a tear to my eye. Maybe it was the outstanding musicianship that The Allman Brothers brought to this song, maybe it was the uniqueness of the piece..
    This rendition did the same thing to me...
    This band is outstanding!!

      That's ironic - because you just listened to musicians that created music like this *nowadays* . They didn't compose it though - but I'm sure there are still many excellent songwriters out there too.

      At the gym I go to, at least half of the music has samples from decades ago, and my 30-something trainer is always surprised when I say something like, "Oh, those horns are sampled from Chicago 'Street Player'".
