In some shots I'm using the stock "custom" icons, made the shape a circle and toggled on the adapt colors from wallpaper. In other shots I'm using the Verticons icon pack from the Play Store.

Excellent comparison video, this is by far the best content in RUclips comparing and highlighting the differences of the 2 phones. I had both phones and went with the upgrade, I couldn't be happier! Plus I've been using mint Mobile for years as a very good service to go with.
Hey Man, that was a seriously in depth comparison, thank you. I actually purchased the 12 and have the 11 and I think I will return the 12 because of the size and minimal updates. I thought the camera upgrade was going to be a huge one but as you pointed out, for quick point and shoot for normal range its just as good. The main reason for the return is I acctually like the 20:9 aspect ration on phones and the 11 feels a lot slimmer for my smaller hands.
I have both. And I think the only reason someone should upgrade to the 12 from the 11. Is if they absolutely have to have the periscope camera. Otherwise they are both fantastic devices. It’s not a bit of a slippery finish. It’s a very slippery finish. The surface of all of these 1+ phones are Teflon slick so you can love the way the phone looks raw, but you should absolutely be putting a case on these things.😊 I like the way curved displays look, but prefer the way flat screens work. That being said. With the proper case on these phones, mistouch is much reduced. Been on Mint mobile for 2+ going on 3 years. Very happy with it. Price is hard to beat for a single month (provided you’re willing to pay for a year in one drop.). My Primary line is 25 a month with cricket. But that’s a group plan with 5 people on it. Mint is like 32.60 a month on the 12 month plan. I’ve not seen any other provider plan that gives so much for the price for a single line. Are there others that are better? Possibly, but in my area, Mint works very well. 5G. In my area 5G is not fleshed out well enough to be taken seriously. But because of the 4GLTE off load to 5G, 4GLTE is very fast here. So I turn off 5G. Battery life. I’ve been using iPhone for a while now, and had never used an android phone that could closely match battery life of a iPhone, even a iPhone that was a 90% health. iPhone was always better. OP changes this. My cheapest OP to the most expensive. They all match or exceed every iPhone I have. IMHO, this android device has iPhone beat on battery. Are there other android phones that are better? Possibly. But I like OP and will be looking at their phones in the future. Battery life. I really don’t know how long a single charge lasts on my device because I put it on the charger when I get home from work. My OP is my streaming device. So I listen to podcasts on it all day, and then on the charger. Normally after a days use, and depending on which phone I’m using. The phones are normally down to the mid to low 90% charge. I absolutely love the large folders. It’s something iOS doesn’t have and absolutely should. When buying new. The OPPad is about the same price as the Air. The OPPad2 is the better choice. The OPP suffers some issues when playing purchased movies from RUclips that the 2 doesn’t. I hope OP fixes this in an update. But they haven’t yet. That aside, the OPP is great in every other aspect. Having said that. You can buy the iPad 10, or a variety of used iPads for less than the OPP or the OPP2 that will preform equally or better than the OPP2 for the same or a lesser price. So it just depends on which ecosystem you are interested in. Your illustration of 3x zoom on the 12 only shows that it shouldn’t be used. What does “over unrealistic mean”? Front camera video. I honestly think the 11s, 1080p I’d better than the 12. My eyes don’t register all the hi end balboa. So I turn all that off. If it works for other people, that’s great. My eyes just don’t see the difference. So off it all goes. And my battery life is improved by a huge margin. In the end. Each device has its strong points and weak points. It just means they’re a product fit for customers with different needs. Not necessarily one better than the other.
In terms of camera the color changes A LOT. I have both but my Go to is still the OP11 it's lighter and slimmer. But the OP 12 has a far superior camera. I don't even know why I bought both in one year, it's a stupid decision but I say for a little more get the 12.
OnePlus 12 will thermal throttle they look the fps at 55 when it go to 38 degree If you want to game on mobile just buy the redmagic 9s pro or wait for the redmagic 10 pro
Bro! Correction Op12 is having Corning Gorilla glass Victus 2 protection which is the latest. Overall nice video watching on my Op12. 😊
Gorilla Armor is the latest.
What about usjng GCam with the OnePlus11? I use GCam with my OP11 and the photos come out much better.
What version are you using or gcam? Bc im struggling to find a compatible Version 😢
Which icon pack you are using.?

Nice review, so does this mean that the oversharpening issue on the front facing camera video of the oneplus 11 still occurs in the latest update?
I'd say yes
i was waiting for the low light photo comparison.

Great video, very in-depth. One question tho, can you change the app drawer layout to 5 columns or is it fixed on only 4?
There are manyi combinations available including five columns
