@@dellboyrodney8046they were drop shotting
You guys are by far the best tutorial site on here! I'm exclusively a pike guy, but want to branch out. One video and i'm confident to target perch and not blank. Thank You!
Hey just wondering when can you do another quest for monsters I really enjoyed it
Ye same I loved it
I’ve always done trout and bass fishing but you really got me into carp fishing they’re some of the hardest fighting fish ever I’ve only gone 5 times but my biggest is 8.5 pounds but without your help I probably would’ve never gotten one love your tutorials keep up the good work!.
Wait till you get in to a 25lb it's brutal and amazing at the same time
Great tuition. The young teaching me the old. Magnificent
Cant wait to get out perch fishing in the next couple of weeks, cant dislike a big perch
caught my first fish on a drop shot rig, and that fish was a perch 💪
Yess!
Excellent as always... you did the right thing quitting your Jobs, even if they were "in the fishing-business"...
An excellent tutorial I can not wait to put these tips in too practice just brought a prism x 5-21g lure set up its tip is super responsive so should be excellent for both dropshot and soft plastic retrieval thanks lads 😀👍👍😉
Top video
Been waiting for this off the charlies next week and I can’t wait👍🏻🎣
Can somone tell me were Charlie's Lake is please, I wouldn't mind having a go at thease big Perch myself?
Glad you’ve brought this video out, thanks Lads
Great video, I've just got a Fox rage warrior dropshot and jig 7' rod. You have given me some great tips for my first trip to the lake.
Glad to help! Cheers :)
Hi chaps loving these vids what sort of rod would I need to try drop shotting please?
You need a lure rod it doesn’t need to be too strong
I still find these videos so useful and end up sharing them a lot, cheers E
Ah really great to hear Eliot :) glad to hear they're helpful!
Love your vids I’m just getting in to perch fishing thnx
Thanks lads. The drop shotting now makes sense.
Really useful. I’ve not fished in years and I live near Manchester City centre so the canals are the only thing easily accessible to me.
Can’t wait to try drop shot for the first time, I’ve only ever done float previously.
Glad you found it helpful :) Good luck with your fishing Lewis!
Berkeley worm threader is great for getting more of your bait/lure onto the hook, and even line, to reduce stolen bait
Great video. I'm interested in trying dropshotting, but the lakes I fish have plenty of pike. Should I still use fluro? Is it possible to make a dropshot rig using wire?
Amazing video, learned a lot! Any specific tips for perch fishing in winter with lots of branches on the bottom?
Crankbaits
Great instructional video, who says you can’t teach an old angler new tricks, thanks👍
Thanks for watching!
Hi great video just couple questions 1 can you use same rod for drop shot and jig fishing ? And 2 for fishing venues similar to where you did and with chance of hooking pike to low doubles what kind of casting weight am I looking for in a rod please? Thanks
Great tutorial guys especially the alternative to the Palermo knot 👍
This Is just what I needed. Fantastic.
Hey, any chance you can show the knot you used for the dropshot rig on your knots playlist as it's own video? Too difficult to see the fluro to be able to figure it out fro. This video. Excellent work though, keep it up!
Really appreciated the video guys, thank you so much.👍👍👍
Our pleasure!
This helped so much and i have a wuestion that is probably bot gonna be answered but whats the rod and casting weight that alex was using looks cool thanks 👍
Great video, I’ve noticed in the uk canals these days I’m only catching very small perch, as of 10 years ago I used to catch ones much bigger, is this down to cormorants you think? 🧐
Polish
Great video again but what rods and reels were you using if you don’t mind me asking
Cracking vid again guys look forward to the next one
Thank you so much, in fact I literally went perch fishing just after you uploaded the video so I finally caught one. They were only 3 pounders but and 4 but still you have taught me to be able to catch one, thank you so much and have a great day.
Just started fishing again since my childhood and I'd like to know how to determine where and how to find the surest perch spots. Haven't caught single one this season which makes me a bit sad since perch is supposed to be the most common species around where I live. Any tips on that? And other species as well for that matter. Boat would probably be great to reach more spots, sadly I don't have one, at least yet. Also, great video! Thanks for taking the time to make this!

Great perch vid. Could you please tell me what rod reel and braid 1b your using please just starting out. Thanks guys👍🏻
Hey man great video. What's the story with drop shotting with a wire trace? Have pike and perch in lake nearby.
Another top video guys ..... brilliant fishing and some lovely fish and well illustrated to ... ideal for me as learning all the time ... anyways I’m in search of some stripeys tomorrow ... in fact if catch just one I will be well chuffed as I’m going somewhere I’ve never been to ... the Lake District !! ... wellies and thermals at the ready 😀😀🎣🎣
Great vid. Keep it up guys!
Thank you Carl & Alex
Best angling video enjoyed ❤❤❤
Informative as well😊😊😊
Thank you! 😊
Brilliant video lads.
Great vid. Love watching them. But what rods do u use for ur light set up .
Great video guys well explained thanks
What kind of landing net is that? I’m looking for a smaller one like that. Great job on the video once again, here in the states some of us use crayfish or small salad shrimp from the grocery store for perch.
Love perch fishing.
Great video! Is it possible to set up a drop shot with a trace? My local club requires traces on all perch rigs
If yous are ever in York, in the town centre area some big perch in the river ouse there used to fish there as a kid and caught them to over 3lb
Carl looking fresh out of boot camp 😂
😂
Great video, really enjoyed it!
Good stuff lads, love ya fish tank
Palomar knot is the correct knot for the drop shot rig very easy as well ...dont know what you used but it wasn't very easy
Great video lads . Struggling tho just started going for pike on canals watched all videos any other must does using lures . And where's that merch
Very well made!
I am very curious to know if that is a different sub species of yellow perch that is found in North America. The world record Yellow Perch is 4LB 12ozs caught in 1924 in New York. I personally have caught 2 lbers here in Michigan but they are rare. A 13"-16" 1.5-2.5 lb is considered a big perch. There are a few western lakes like Devil's lake N.D that produce 3-3.5 lbers regularly. That lake has a huge forage base of fresh water shrimp and minnows as well. I have seen videos of 7 lb perch caught overseas. I would appreciate if you could give any info on this matter.
These are the same family as your yellow perch but a different species. The family has just the two species; the yellow perch (perca flavescans) in North America and the Eurasian perch (perch fluviatilis). Our perch go up to around 7 or 8lb max whereas yellow perch go to about 4lb. 👍
Thanks gents, really useful info and well presented :-)
Hi guys, please help me. I tried drop shotting and like you say, it was incredible for Perch! My problem is that I get a lot of deep/gut hooked results. Can I still use a disgorger to unhook in this instance or will the softbait get in the way? Also, to clarify, it's cast and retrieve like a spinner but slow? A little retrieve to remove slack, a little wiggle, a little retrieve, a little wiggle? I'm not sure if I'm just lucky or if I have good technique... Thanks!
Do you have any tips on fishing the float for perch and how deep do i fish
You need to do a colab with Blacktiph!! The scenes
So the word you where looking for that didn't begin with S was slow lol great work ☺
Great video, greetings from Germany🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪👍
What casting weight is ur rods for perch fisbing and also what action is the rods?
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
Thanks for sharing this nice fishing.
i used glue on my paddle tale and it made the eye fall of and when i casted and brought it back my pike had riped the hook so it was bearly useable any tips?
Lovely video guys 👍
Love the vids mate
Best dropshot knot 👍🏻
Hawr u, my cantree Bangladesh, good fishing. thanks
Awesome video bud
Would you do the same for chub?
Fair one lads. Cheers for the help. Like and subbed
Are perch easy to catch in winter?
You've done well to make that place not look like a shit hole, fair play lads
Wow, what a perch!!
Just what I needed
It is indeed a Nice content!! Keep Continue!!
Thank you!
Can you catch many perch while drop shotting in rivers in Autumn ?
Massive yes :) this is an ideal time
can you make a zander video?
Your red perch strategies do work on our yellow perch but live bait and fresh shrimp pieces on jigs work best. There isn't a perch family species, walleye, perch, Zander, sauger, that don't taste amazing.
Hi do you have to flatten the dorsal Finn when handling perch?
No
Where do u get ur soft plastic lure from for perch ?
Great vid guys i was waiting for a perch video
What size rod length are you using chaps?
An 8ft rod for lure fishing is great
Great video keep it up
good stuff!
Which westin rod do you use?
love the hair xD
Am I going mad or have you guys removed your camera equipment list 🤔 my question was, what drone do you guys use, picture quality is superb, contributing to the already great content 🙌🏼
DJI mavic Pro 2!
@@fishingtutorials amazing, keep up the great work lads.
Those small perch armys we call them tusenbröder basically means thousand brothers
so the dropshot is only pinched in ? no knot at all ?
It kinda beds down with a knot above and below the hook! :) Tricky knot, but a good one!
what lures are those in the video
Perch
What the name of the knot for the drop shot rig?
Is this in ashford
Am it would be nice if you came to Ireland
Good videooo
My problem with perch is that many times they get deep hook the lure . Any tips to combat this?
I feel like a lot of it is timing. Striking quicker and harder as soon as you feel a bite can help prevent the fish swallowing the lure? I'm not quite a beginner but not as experienced as these lads but I've caught enough Perch to know they're buggers for swallowing tackle. Hope this helps somewhat :)
9oozFgl8 yeah thanks, I thought so
Seb Duran no problem! Good luck :)
If you nosehook the lure it should be quite difficult for perch to get hooked in any other place than the mouth, especially if the hook is exposed enough
@@TheMightyGameMaster thank you!
I love it
What type of knot is that @ 13:00 ?
what rods are you guys using please
Was thinking of the same question
@@thomaswerren8960 pretty sure they are westin w3 finesse t&c but not 100% sure mate
@@PhilFeeman Thanks
look at the size of the place, and that abandoned caravan really sets the place off...heard some horror stories from here
