  • One of my patients this week has frozen shoulder but is on the downhill side and it's thawing out. So the pain is less but the range it still limited. If you're like my patient where there is significant muscle guarding as part of the frozen shoulder issue, and you have less pain than previous then aiming for range through band resistance may help.
    Focusing on the 3 important movements first in supine is a good way to start improving more range as well as tackle the neuromuscular guarding component of frozen shoulder.
    1. Flexion (Supine - Band)
    2. Abduction (Supine - Band)
    3. External Rotation (Supine - Band)
