Will's recovery from his shoulder injury reminds me of the saying,' physician, heal thyself'. In this case,it's a physio specialist who avoids the knife and heals himself. Nice going Will and thanks for another interesting and helpful video.
Thanks so much for the video. Dislocated both shoulders - had surgery on the left and decided never again. I'm still restricted in my movement. Years later dislocated the right shoulder and then rehab'd it myself with your exercises and a few more. It took a full two years of very slow, gradual, consistent work to have a strong, stable, painfree shoulder again. It's 20 years later now, and it is still fine - 100% range of movement whereas the left only has around 70% ROM. The left is as stable as a rock, but I still get flares of pain and I can't sleep on the left side without provoking it. I don't say all shoulders can recover without doing surgery, but if you are prepared to work hard at it (lifelong), & your doctor agrees, I say give it a go.
Thank you for sharing your experience, it is rare to have the direct comparison of both shoulders and how one recovered in comparison to the other - well done for the consistent work you put in and your patience during the recovery journey!
Dr. Will, thank you for your many fine contributions, you are becoming a rising star in this business/ vocation and daily look forward to your videos, many thanks
Will, my shoulder issue is the result of bone-on-bone arthritis, and not a tear of any muscle. Do you have a video that deals with shoulder arthritis? Thanks, Will.
I have my shoulder cartilage, apparently you can't grow it back need a shoulder joint replacement they have me on shoulder pulley, front arm lift and stiff arm front pull downs. The rest is about what not to do come I like lifting your arms past shoulder level
Good stretches I have pain in my left shoulder for a pretty long time. I have been managing with mild exercises. I would like you to suggest me how I could move back my hand behind which is very difficult and painful
Thanks for the shoulder exercise this week Will..I book my Humerous in Oct 23 and do my exercise all the time, this one today is a new one because I’m having this pain in the same place, will get the band thankyou
Great video Will, so grateful you were able to overcome possible surgery and able to heal your shoulder. These are great stretches to help keep our shoulders strong and fit❤
New Subscriber. Thank you for all the fantastic videos you produce. They have made a world of difference in my daily routine, especially the recent one about shoulder exercises after a shoulder injury which I had a few years back. Keep up the fantastic work!!!
Thank you for subscribing - I'm so pleased you've been able to incorporate my tips into your routine and that they've been beneficial - keep up the great work :)
Thank you Will for your very clear and helpful videos. I have been struggling with an impinged shoulder for a few months and am trying your exercises, can you recommend which weight training exercises I should be doing (or avoiding) until my shoulder is fully healed?
Hi Will, thanks so much for your tips and video demo. I hurt my shoulder two weeks ago. Now I need to raise my arm which is very painful. I will follow your shoulder exercises. Absolutely useful comments and demo. Brilliant.
Thank you so much for these shoulder exercises, especially the one lying on one's stomach. Yes I have had some difficulty there as well. That and my left knee are causing me some trouble. I follow your channel and endeavoring to attempt these exercises. Kiaora koe, from New Zealand.
I'm sorry to hear your knee has been causing you difficulties - I hope my channel is able to offer some guidance to help with what you're experiencing - sending best wishes to you in New Zealand :)
Do you have exercise suggestions for a wrist break? Had surgery have done various stretch exercises but still swollen and range of motion is not back. Ex.. rotating hand around both ways is limited. Also did PT didn't do much at all. Any suggestions would be helpful...
Just an FYI, hubby had saline injection for frozen shoulders, it did help, he just did one side (too much raking so both sides swollen) he felt it through his entire whole system, he declined a 2nd shot on his other shoulder/side!
my shoulders get very inflamed after resistance training and hurt especially the day or 2 after. These exercises you showed may help alleviate the after effects of resistance training.Thank you.
I have strained my shoulder and it aches and feels weak! Did you ice or heat your shoulder and or take ibuprofen? Thank you for sharing. I'm going to get your book in October. Your channel has helped me out with my daily exercises as I'm in my mid 50s.
I am stroke survivor for three years I am 60yrs I am following your exercises which is entitled to me and it’s very useful also am thankful to you please advice me when I do the exercises I am unable to daily I am trying to do also still my hand fingers and leg have problem please reply me also onec again thank you very much helping me to follow your exercises
Thanks for this…I have rotator cuff damage and laminating tears, had the cortisone injections and occasionally feel as if my humerus has fallen out of the joint and it eventually rights itself ! I’m hoping these exercises will help.
What do you do when the pain happens when doing extreme internal rotation close to the body - such as when pulling up when taking off a t-shirt? Are these 3 exercises the same for that issue?
hey I have a question- I was spinning my right arm around in a circle going clockwise (from my own perspective) for like 5-10 minutes and felt a slight subluxation for a few seconds as I did this. The next day, I noticed a clicking in the shoulder when rotating it in the same direction. I've had it in a sling ever since in the hopes that, if it's a partial labral tear, it will heal naturally. I never had any pain etc though like you described with yours. My question is, do very minor, momentary feelings of subluxation like that always mean the labrum has been torn? I'm hoping I got away with only stretching it, and I know you can't advise me about my case specifically, but I just wanted to know if that ever happens generally. Thanks.
Could something like first exercise with band be modified to help with a mild superior subluxation of the humeral head, by varying the direction of the strap pressure?
i think you just diagnosed my poorly left shoulder issue along with some fixes i've had this since 2007 and the various gp's and so forth and so on have been useless so far

relax your leg. It is trying to use your lower back to lift your arm
If you do not have cartilage, I don't think these exercises are for us
