@@davidg105 Hey, thanks, David - yeah, I'm a hobbyist knife maker; you can see more of my work on Facebook at my page "Lucky Knives" if you care to. Mike
Wow he is only asking $165 a night. I figured I'd be opening up a listing thats $500+ a night. Thats pricing on just a normal 2 bedroom airbnb in Los Angeles and I don't get anything close to what Will's listing offers.
As a loyal fan from Spain, especially being from the Spanish region that paella is from. I can't belieeeeeve u called that a paella😂😂😂 no no no!! Hahaha but you got the socarrat!! amazing video like always tho
I was waiting for somebody to say something and I already knew Taku was waiting for somebody to say something too. But Taku can call it whatever he wants... out here in Las Vegas, we have places called sushi burrito, and mexican sushi made very differently with ceviche. As a sushi chef, I use to get super offended when they would call it sushi... but what can I do🤷♂️
I've never seen another RUclipsr do as much with their subscribers as do Taku and Jocelyn. I'm sort of young and hate the life I have. So I feel I'm able to kind of live a different life via Outdoor Chef Life, so thanks for that.
Bro I live just down the road from this location! Come to my place next! And I’m realtor in the area so if you really want to look for spot, let me know!
I had been looking at property in your area during the housing crash when homes were affordable. There was a modular home place near Shelton off the freeway which goes to Olympia. The guy s name was Jack Fuller who informed me a lot about the area, where the best lots to get good water. I should of bought back then. I had seen a nice fixer uper for 65 K on Alderrish Road, I think that was the name. But I liked the area. I recall a indian gambling place on the freeway, which I never got to visit for lunch specials but did go to the other reservation next to Unnion for fish. There are stories of \Big Foot in that area.
I have to say, these are the most legit down to earth videos and are a relief, especially with people just pouring politics in my feeds. I'm certain I watched them all. And prioritize them when I see a new one pop up on my subscriptions feed.
Your videos have been on fire lately. You will reach 1M subs by next year. Keep up the hard work Taku and Jocelyn. Hope you guys are enjoying every minute of it. You guys deserve way more views and subs
Taku.. My name is actually Tak. We are both Japanese, but I'm a Nisei. I lived in an RV for years and you should buy a class-B RV with a proper kitchenette and trust me on this one... Your G/F will thank you endlessly for the bathroom. I still have my B-RV. I'll never get rid of it. I have so many memories of hanging out with my G/F making salads and English food on that kitchenette. (English food.. Yeesh!)
One of my favorite memories is my G/F hanging her *ss out my vans side door and peeing. Its what prompted me to buy a class-B RV. It was just so she can have a proper toilet. I laugh at it still.
Here’s the move when BBQing Oysters... when they open, pop the flat top off and put some sauce in the cupped side with the oyster. My favorite combo is thinly sliced peppers, Shoyu or Tamari, thinly sliced green onion and a dash of hot sauce. Then let the oyster Steep in the sauce for a bit and enjoy! 🔥 🦪
It’s pretty sweet. It’s perfect for cold weather as it keeps you off the cold ground. I would say the only down side would be when campground and car parking are separated.
If you guys come down thru Longbeach Washington. I have a half acre you can come camp on. Let me know. I have some king bolete mushrooms that I have been drying. I bet there will be more popping up over the weekend. And a great chanterelle spot
I can't believe I missed this vid!! My grandpa lives on hood canal and owns a strip of beach and every summer we pull up some crab. I wonder if I can try and farm some oysters!!
Your cooking portion made me drool without realizing it until you reacted to an oyster and choked and I laughed causing me to croak too. It looks so good
Can't do raw shellfish...flavor is fine, enjoy that bit...but the texture makes me gag, sadly. Those grilled oysters and the clam paella left me drooling though! Usually do garlic butter and chipotle tobasco on my grilled (over mesquite), but betting that truffle butter was amazing!
Note to self- don’t watch chef life when hungry. J.K. thank you for the awesome forage content! Is there any public oyster foraging spots in Northern California?
I say Seattle or Washington is better then most of Cali , I saw so much trash and homeless in San Fran , did I mention trash !! 😱 Seattle have a lot of Asians too , great fresh seafoods . Maybe using those knife glove would help when chucking oysters , those are scary sharp edges
Shout to all of the Outdoor Chef Life subscribers for allowing Taku to create new content for us
Taku, I'm so glad you like the oyster knife I made for you. As always, great video, and I'm envious of the feast you made! Peace!

The truffle is going a longgggg way
Right?!? I love that he used it in this video too.
I absolutely loathe truffle and feel personally offended every time I see it. Which is a lot. I watch a lot of food content lol.
I can’t imagine a life if I was allergic to shellfish
If I developed an allergy now I'd be devastated
Can you rank shellfish in like a tastiness order? I've only eaten mussels. What would rank one between mussels, oysters or clams?
@@erim6035 in my opinion oysters would definitely be number one. Then scallops, mussels and lastly clams.
@@lillikins123 thats about right
I couldn’t imagine! That would be so unfortunate

Tomatoes in a cast iron skillet... be still, my heart. qq qq qq
Yeah it's too bad it wreaks havoc on the seasoning, just like wine. Makes it complicated to cook certain dishes...
