Nice video. I guessed i was missing the o-ring as when i turned the ignition on i had fuel blow out everywhere from the inlet pipe to the fuel rail oops. Is it just an o-ring that fits in the fuel rail?
Excellent straightforward video, thanks. I'm looking to change the gasket on the lower inlet manifold, do I need to remove the fuel rail/injectors too or does the manifold just unbolt with it attached?
nah you can leave the fuel rail attached mate. Just unbolt the fuel line from the side of the cylinder head. If you look at the engine lifting eye down below there is a stud that holds it to the cylinder head, there is a P clamp held to the stud with an 8mm bolt. Remove that and just disconnect the fuel line further up where the flexi section attaches to the steel line that runs up from the underside of the car and you'll be good to go
Is it true that you should change the o-rings / sealings for the injectors? If i saw it correctly the injectors come with mounted o-rings .. but maybe i missed it. Thanks advance!
new injectors normally come with new O rings already fitted to them. If they haven't, unless originals are damaged or shrunken you'd be fine to re-use them onto your new injectors
no coding is required (that is usually only with Diesel engines) but you do need to be running a tune that requires the size injector that you install as the tune will be scaled for that particular size.
What symptoms do you get if these are starting to go bad.ive got random splutter like misfire.changed map.boost solenoid. Rs plugs.new coil packs. And still feels like a mini misfire when driving at random times. Any ideas before I buy a new maf sensor. Cheers
Good morning. I did not understand the last part. when I have already reassembled everything, do I have to turn the car on and off several times to have the petrol loaded in the injectors and then check the breather valve again? Thank you
the last bit is to purge the air out of the system. The fuel system on these cars is return-less. Switch the ignition on, then off, then on again then depress the valve to release the air.
Goodevening. I have baught last year 5 iniectors bosch 650 cc by ND TUNING but now not work good because the petrol came into cilindre when car is off. Where i can buy new iniectors on ebay? Thanks.
Do you only get these for a stage 4 tune? I've done the CAI and am getting incorrect air/fuel ratio but I want to correct it. Can I get a tune with factory injectors?
if you're on stock tune and all you've done is a CAI but the AFR isnt right then there's a mechanical issue with the car. I wouldn't suggest tuning to try to correct - fix the issue instead or it will become an issue when you are tuning
You'll need a remap to scale the injectors correctly. The ECU can pull some fuel out.... but only so much so you'll end up with over fuelling which is very bad for the engine.
goodmorning. I wanted to know if i have to remove the petrol pressure before intervening and if during the intervention petrol comes out or not. thanks
Yes you need to release the pressure from the fuel rail from the adapter valve as shown at 2:00 in the video, a small amount of fuel will come out of the rail
@@OEMDeniedPerformance Hi mate. Your the best. Buying many of your products that I can't fault :D Looking the maps 2/3/4 with the exhaust and mods etc on the hub dyno. I would have thought the engine was in the car ? If on flywheel what parasitic drain what do you think 15% ?
@@1breematt Using a Dynapack hub dyno worked out that the TCF was 1.120. Did this by running a stock XR5 and altering the TCF till reading matched what stock output is. Amazing video. Watched while changing my injectors to 440cc in a focus st225. Appreciate your hard work and helpful detailed content.
glad to have been of help! :)
Please make a video on cam shaft installation of xr5
Thanks mate, and much appreciated, especially you taking the time to show us on your day off. Lot's of stuff learned. 👍👍👍👍
All these videos are helping so much mate

8:02 this small plastic part has no o rings which I believe can leak fuel? Unless I’m mistaken

Hey Jamie I was wondering, the stage 3 tune is it 270hp to the wheels
flywheel, because the vehicles are euro manufacturers quote flywheel power and torque

Do you have to configure them in the ecu
not configure like you do when you replace injectors on a diesel no. But you MUST be using them with a tune that requires them.
"its my day off" 🙂
