      Thank you so much for stopping by. My goal is to help other people with these beautiful little mobile homes. Mobile home living is a lot cheaper than living in a big old house. Wi-Fi thousand dollars a month when you can pay three or $400 a month and still have the same satisfaction. I love helping people with these mobile homes. A lot of people don’t know how to work on them. I’ve been working on them for over 20 years. So I think I know a little bit about them. Thank you for your comments Mike I appreciate you. I always try to help as much as I can.

      Thank you so much. I appreciate your comment. I love being able to help and share my knowledge. Contractors for the most part don’t like working on mobile homes. I share these videos so the homeowners can possibly do it their self. You’re the best. Share it to your Facebook and anyone you know that Owens a mobile home

    I repaired an older single wide roof very similar to that one with hundreds of screw holes in it. Even patched a few big holes with tin and screws just like you explained it. Two coats of cool seal lasted two years until i was able to roof over it with 5v metal roofing. I let it overhang about 5" it made a huge difference vs. the zero overhang before with the amount of water running down the side of the building. I considered the rubber roofing, but went with the metal since it's a 3:12 pitch and it seemed easier to complete by myself. I have referenced many of your videos when remodeling the inside. It was a big help thank you.

      Thank you buddy and I agree if you have a pitch on your roof I would definitely go with the metal roof and not the rubber not to mention like you said it is definitely going to be easier putting on metal by yourself then it would be that Rubber Roof. So kudos my friend and congratulations I love the homeowners are able to do it themselves. The reason why I started making my channel was so I could show other people how to do it on their own or different options that they might be able to choose from so thank you for watching my friend I’m glad I was able to help

    Hey Drew it's Patty we just got off the phone and I immediately called my local ABC Supply and they do not carry it. There's no Beacon Supply or best Supply close to me so I'm about to do some internet research and see if I can find it somewhere else and get it to me. I want to say thank you so much for talking with me and giving me some words of wisdom

      Thank you so much I appreciate your comment Hardwork never hurt anybody. And I love to show other people how to do it themselves. Left-handed Paul has been my right hand man for quite some time. I have taken him on many vacations with me. Generally in September when it cools off a little bit would like to go someplace and just enjoy yourself for a few days. Paul and I are leaving for New Jersey on Wednesday. I’m sure I’ll make some videos of it. Check out my Scrapping with Grandpa channel. I will definitely be putting a video on over there of my trip.

    Curious why not just have some 36 inch plywood pieces and walk on those? As long as you stay center one would assume you catch 2 rafters and won't damage or fall through.

    • @ScrappingwithGrandpa
      @ScrappingwithGrandpa 2 года назад +3

      I’ve been doing it long enough I know where to walk. If you were unexperienced I would definitely suggest using the plywood. So yes that’s a good idea for an unexperienced person. Fortunately I’ve been walking on these things for over 20 years and I know what to do. I never recommend anybody going up on their mobile home without something to walk on.

    • @Drewsroofingandhomerepair
      @Drewsroofingandhomerepair  Год назад +4

      I hate it anything that says silicone I hate. It won’t hold up. Use Lexell
      You can buy it at Lowe’s

    What's the heaviest guy you'd let onto a roof like this?

    • @Drewsroofingandhomerepair
      @Drewsroofingandhomerepair  Год назад +2

      After it’s done. I would put 500 pounds. Before the roof. I’d want to be careful if you weight
      Over 100 pounds

    For a mobile home I noticed in these comments you don’t recommend silicone. What product do you recommend if I had to get at a Home Depot?

    Hello. Just want to ask. What causes roof rumble on a single wide aluminum roof. And how can i fix that?

    • @Drewsroofingandhomerepair
      @Drewsroofingandhomerepair  Год назад +3

      Put a rubber tire on the roof. The metal is probably not tight. And when the wind blows it makes the metal rumble. My suggestion if you can get away with it put a tire up there where the metal is loose I know it might be ugly

      @@Drewsroofingandhomerepair Thank you!! 😊

    • @Drewsroofingandhomerepair
      @Drewsroofingandhomerepair  Год назад +1

      I have seen in the past a lot of cases where people just put a tire on their roof. It seems to be working for them so that would probably be my suggestion. I can’t say it’s beautiful but it works. I don’t suggest walking on mobile homes. You can cause more damage by walking on them so if you do decide to get up there maybe use a ladder and just lean on the roof and place the tire where you need it.

    • @lisalee2885
      @lisalee2885 Год назад +2

      I think the tire is a good idea...I would spray paint it white or a cool color 😅😅
