Man, I got off in one of them creeks today.
Tarpon we’re rolling up and pounding something in just one hole. Tried to catch one, nothin’.
Went down the creek for better spots. Came back up a few hours later on the way out.
Them Tarpon were still at it hours later.

How about a giant Black Drum mission? Big hook, big bait, heavy rod, heavy line and leader, under the bridge... I want a 25-pounder! Don't know that I've ever seen you catch a black drum.
I caught one. 25(+) pounds (estimated). 42 inches. Under the Ocean Springs/Biloxi bridge. Dead shrimp, Carolina rig, heavy gear.

I hadn't even watched that video, since we don't really have a beach fishing option like that along the MS coast, so I don't pay much attention to the beach fishing videos since we can't do that here. Y'all are lucky in AL. Oh well, what can I say, apologies and withdrawn. (Mine was a third-again that size, and much darker and healthier looking, but, you got me.)

I'm in NC, so I am fortunate enough to get to surf fish fairly often; I tend to gravitate towards those videos :) No apology needed at all. And congrats on your catch! The younger ones are darker for sure. The old ones are called "big uglies" for good reason. lol They really are ugly - faded looking and just massive.
