      @@samuelbrozek5618 I would rather gaff it in a **non fatal ** , least harming location (lower lip) so to bring it on deck and remove the hooks rather than try to hand line a 30lb fish or try to net a big fish and possibly lose it with a big metal jig in it's mouth and another leader hanging out.

    What brand of rod leash do you use?

      I typically make my own with stretch deck cord and stainless carabiners. The one on my 50 wide was a store bought one, cannot remember the brand

    Question for anyone on this…. What do you catch trolling at 20mph? Sailfish and wahoo are the only thing I can think of. Am I right ?

    big guy, you are the first person I've seen on video using a seigler sgn, I usually use a an sg, everybody is always asking me what kind of reel is that and when they see bring up really big fish, they're like that's a really tough little reel, nice video, keep up the nice work.

    It’s awesome how you take care of the fish. If you keep them Yu spike them and if you let them go you have a slow decent release. Great job! We need more fisherman like you. Great catches too btw!!

    An ice fishin reel trick is to zip tie the reel to the rod. Try that if you are having problems with the reel slots/keepers.

    why didnt you show the device and you using it to descend the fish back to the bottom. we all know you killed that gag and filleted it on the spot. RIP

      I wish LOL. It would've been nice to keep them. Getting those two big fish back healthy is more important to me than videoing at the time. When the Go Pro lenses has water all over it, audio is jacked up, and the fish is laying on the deck, I'd much rather spend the time to get it back right so I can come back and catch them later. I showed how to use the descending device on the Red Snapper later in the video.

      It's Saltwater slow pitch jigging rods, much different than the typical casting rod

    Not hatting but I would try and stay away from high sticking so much with spj, use the the reel as a winch and not the rod for leverage. But with your problems with reel seat that makes it harder lol. I have had to file down the reel feet on all my spj setups to get them to fit all the way in.

      I troll a lot and mark on my gps if I run over a decent looking spot. I also have a Garmin Relief shading chip that shows all the natural bottom. I fish mostly public reefs too

      Haha!! Just pay attention to that bottom screen when you troll and mark anything that looks good! That's all I do LOL. I also have the Garmin Relief Shading chip but for some off reason, it didnt load up that day!

      Most of mine have them, on the slow pitch rods with the trigger grip, reel clamps wont work

      Thank you!! I personally do not know the brand. They were installed before I bought the boat. I believe the leaning post is custom made and the seats are Centric style seats
