      Hurts to see him go so bad. I wish it was on his own terms on not from injury. Still, the man had a killer career and deserves everything. Most underrated and underpaid WR ever. Hope he enjoys retirement.

    Edelman just said that this was his favorite play in a post-retirement interview.

    To this day, this is still my favorite Edelman play. I remember saying to the room watching this play “if this isn’t converted the game is over” but Brady to Jules was just magical

    Used to think Edelman was a wannabe Wes Welker until I saw this hit live. I immediately saw that hes no Welker, hes a hall of Famer. An old school hard charger. Love it!

    Who else came here after watching Danny Amendola talk about their “protocol” for avoiding concussion protocol? 😂 Him and Edelman would come out and peel each other off the floor and tell them what the answers to what the doctors will ask (I.e. where are you, what’s happening right now in the game, what time is it)

      Julian also said that he had suffered a hip pointer earlier in the game and the effects of that caused him to get up slowly at the end of this play. We will never fully know, but we certainly know that Julian was a tremendously tough and clutch football player. Loved watching him.

    In previous Superbowl (Broncos vs Seahawks), Welker got a similar hit by Chancellor and didn't stand up. Julian did stand up after that

    According to Edelman it was a clean hit, he never got a concussion and he staggered because of having a hip pointer

      He got a concussion from this and they let him keep going. Plus in the off-season after they won he even said he got one.

    Edelman was a real football player. He mentioned another time when he had a concussion or it was a trick him and others used to grab their knee if they were concussed and needed time to collect themselves, so they wouldn't get taken out of the game. Real football player shit. Ronnie Lott.

    Somehow, Collinsworth, the king of calling foul, missed the head to head and then the facemask all against Edelman and for some dumb reason finds a way to make it sound like Edelman was the one getting away with something. A sh!t load of calls are driven by the announcers of the game, especially if it's Collinsworth

      We have all seen players get suspended for way less than what Chandler did here but somehow the conversation is about Edelman playing after a hit like that, not the fact that he was torpedoed in the head!     I wasn't really a Patriots fan growing up but I did watch a lot of Julian Edelman and this is one of the biggest hits he ever took was against Kam Chancellor even though the hit put him down and he was concussed he still got up off the ground and ran for another 15-20 yards before falling down the dudes toughness is unlike any other

    If, after contact by an opponent, any part of a runner’s leg above the ankle or any part of his arm above the wrist touches the ground, the runner is down.
    He's so clearly down after the hit.

      That's literally never been disputed lol. He was even called down by the refs, and they brought the ball back. The whole point of this video is to show his toughness, that he was able to get up so quickly and keep going after a hit that would have knocked many NFL WRs out of the game.
