Hurts to see him go so bad. I wish it was on his own terms on not from injury. Still, the man had a killer career and deserves everything. Most underrated and underpaid WR ever. Hope he enjoys retirement.
Edelman just said that this was his favorite play in a post-retirement interview. It really does sum up who he is as a player: clutch, tough, and a little crazy.
To this day, this is still my favorite Edelman play. I remember saying to the room watching this play “if this isn’t converted the game is over” but Brady to Jules was just magical
Used to think Edelman was a wannabe Wes Welker until I saw this hit live. I immediately saw that hes no Welker, hes a hall of Famer. An old school hard charger. Love it!
Edelman is not a hall of famer no pro bowls and was never considered a top receiver throughout his career does not matter how many great plays he’s done
Who else came here after watching Danny Amendola talk about their “protocol” for avoiding concussion protocol? 😂 Him and Edelman would come out and peel each other off the floor and tell them what the answers to what the doctors will ask (I.e. where are you, what’s happening right now in the game, what time is it)
Julian also said that he had suffered a hip pointer earlier in the game and the effects of that caused him to get up slowly at the end of this play. We will never fully know, but we certainly know that Julian was a tremendously tough and clutch football player. Loved watching him.
And let's not forget, another dynasty we destroyed. I truly believe if Seattle wins this game they would of had a 3 peat. But teams are never the same after playing the patriots in the big game.
@@iglives7234 he still caught and held onto the ball and kept playing, eventually making a clutch touchdown. He's basically highlighting how tough Edelman was because of that play lol

Imagine you’re Kam. You know how big and strong you are and you just landed one of the biggest shots of your career on a guy half your size… and dude just pops up and keeps running.
Edelman was a real football player. He mentioned another time when he had a concussion or it was a trick him and others used to grab their knee if they were concussed and needed time to collect themselves, so they wouldn't get taken out of the game. Real football player shit. Ronnie Lott.
man those yards he tried to get off the hit was straight lizard brain survival-his bell was RUNG and his body defaulted to his damn training. That’s a true American .
Somehow, Collinsworth, the king of calling foul, missed the head to head and then the facemask all against Edelman and for some dumb reason finds a way to make it sound like Edelman was the one getting away with something. A sh!t load of calls are driven by the announcers of the game, especially if it's Collinsworth
We have all seen players get suspended for way less than what Chandler did here but somehow the conversation is about Edelman playing after a hit like that, not the fact that he was torpedoed in the head! This fact alone exposes the total biased the league and all its minions have against the Patriots
I wasn't really a Patriots fan growing up but I did watch a lot of Julian Edelman and this is one of the biggest hits he ever took was against Kam Chancellor even though the hit put him down and he was concussed he still got up off the ground and ran for another 15-20 yards before falling down the dudes toughness is unlike any other
Imagine you're Julian. You know how quick and tough you are, and you just ran full speed into the baddest brick wall of a player in the league. The hit was so powerful, and you tensed your body so hard that you bounced off the turf like Kam turned your anatomy into a rubber.
Hadn't seen the podcast until your post. Was worth watching bc it was a fun interview. Loved that he called this his favorite play of his entire career!
If, after contact by an opponent, any part of a runner’s leg above the ankle or any part of his arm above the wrist touches the ground, the runner is down. He's so clearly down after the hit.
That's literally never been disputed lol. He was even called down by the refs, and they brought the ball back. The whole point of this video is to show his toughness, that he was able to get up so quickly and keep going after a hit that would have knocked many NFL WRs out of the game.
that hit was so bad even cam got a concussion after that hit, I can imagine this is why cam suffered that career ending hit, this guy went all out... definitely not how yo should be playing..

Seeing Edelman playing like a player twice his size week after week was an incredible privilege. Have a great retirement #11
Steroids but I still like him
Most underrated WR of the 10s
This play sums up his career. Took the biggest hits and kept getting up for more. Definition of tough.
That is my favoritest play
Just don't celebrate it. This is horrible. Future players should look out for their health more

Lol he had trouble getting up becauae of his hip that got nailed on the punt return that started this drive.

Always Money . But especially in The SUPERBowl!

Apparently this is Edelman's favourite catch of his career. Even over the crazy catch he made in SB 51.
According to Edelman it was a clean hit, he never got a concussion and he staggered because of having a hip pointer
This is easily the second biggest play in the game after butlers int. If they don’t get this first down, they don’t win
Can't forget the play right before the interception when Hightower and Ayers stopped Lynch at the 1-yard line.
seeing that play after he explains what really happened, is even better! He was not dizzy, is his hips that are fuckup because of a punt return hit.
Had to come watch this from the Mythical Kitchen Last Meals with him.
LMAO Edelman was out of it. Dude's tough though. He said he didn't even remember the rest of the game after this hit and he caught the game winning TD
He got a concussion from this and they let him keep going. Plus in the off-season after they won he even said he got one.
