This is the place where originally took place the Arthurian legend & the knights of the round table. In that forest you can also find the golden tree of Paimpont, still sacred since the celtic age for the pagans in Western Europe.
Arthur legend, is that when Arthur was killed by Saxons some of his followers fled there and some to the mountains of wales, they where not from Brittany.
