Thank you for saving me a bunch of time! Like another commenter, I too was pulled over by the local county sheriff who decided that my burned-out license plate light was more of a threat to society than actual criminals and speeders. Who'd have thought? Gotta love it.
Same but how convenient it was as soon as I left the concert..hmmm
Cops exist to generate money for the state. Eventually warnings for petty stuff like this leads to fines
Mechanic wanted to charge me $50! Followed your video and saved myself $43.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! I just got pulled over for my lights above my plate being burned out! While I waited for the officer to finish I watched the bank robbers who were getting away...and the drunk driver...and the drug dealer!
It does help to have a sense of humor. I do not understand why my DL was asked for or needed for a burned out bulb! Spend 10 or more minutes on side of road, blue and white lights flashing and then being told tag light out! Did I mention two officiers?
I know what you mean. Here in Canada I actually got pulled over because one, not both bulbs, were burnt. must have been a slow night for a cop to pull me over when there is so much serious crap going on. At least I didn't get a ticket.
With the level of support certain areas are showing for their cops I don't blame them not going after dangerous criminals.
Why can't cops just accept the fact that lightbulbs burn out? Why does it warrant a 400 dollar fine for a light bulb burning out. it will never make sense to me
OMG! This video was right on point. I was already to take the whole back door panel no off...you saved my vehicle lol...thanks
Still applicable 5 years later. :-) Thanks for this vid. To remove the bulb, I wrapped it in friction tape to get some traction on the smooth glass..
I had a little grease on my fingers so I couldn't get a good grip on the bulb. I recommend wrapping a little electrical tape on the bulb to get great grip. Pulls right out
Just purchased some replacement bulbs for my fiancés '07 Odyssey. Very quick and simple, thank you a bunch. Happy holidays! 👍🏽
thank you for taking the time to do this, it helped a lot, thank you for your service as a Veteran Sir!
Thank you for the informative video and thank you for your service to our country, shipmate! I'd bought a Haynes manual years back when we got the van, it wasn't helpful at times.
Thank you so much for this video! I live far from my dad who does everything on my car for me but you helped me do this by myself! ❤️
If u ever need help or advice feel free to message me I can help u out i help my sisters a lot

Thank you for making this video. I too was pulled over for an unlit tag light. My biggest regret is not doing the replacement myself! Auto parts guy, who did not watch video, did replacement. Now both bulb units are covered with clear tape to hold them in place!! Yeah, thats really going to last... even small bulbs put off heat. Auto part guy removed WHOLE freakin' unit, not just lens plate so of course clips snapped. 😠😠 As soon as I can figure out a way to secure the units, I will remove the tape, secure them and revert the lens to their correct position.
Thanks mate you saved me some money. Just fixed this at -25C greetings from your Canadian neighbor. 😊
thank you for your video! I was able to replace the bulb! It was a little tricky removing it, but saved myself $15 in labor!
Thank you for taking your valuable time to demonstrate how to do it, I'm just about to changed in my car too. Have one burn it. Great video.
Thank you for putting all the process together, very informative - much appreciated.
Thank you! So happy people make these posts; it’s so helpful !!!
Thank you! Saved me probably breaking something.
Oh awesome! Thank you so much for this! I just bought a 2007 used and the lights for the plate are out. Now I can fix them! You rock!
Thanks for the video, especially on how to remove those covers.
Thanks for this video! Very useful! It's time to replace one bulb before doing car inspection...
Thank you so much for your video. I was able to change mine in less than 2 mn. Your video is very detailed, simple and efficient. Thank you.

Thank you so much
thanks bud. I'm going to change mine now on a 2005
Thanks for doing this video. If only I had watch before I tried to change the light. :) I pull the entire housing out and I can't get one of them back in.
Thanks for the video. Even a complete idiot like me was able to replace my bulbs thanks to you
Thank you. Great video
I, also, got pulled over last night for one of these two lights being out. No ticket, thankfully, but still ridiculous. Even had another cop car show up during the stop.
Great help!!
God bless you brother 🙌
"Maybe thumb -it a little bit for good measure" 🤣
Exactly what I needed!
Thank you sir!!!
Now if I can find an inexpensive way to fix my a.c. compressor
I got a Denso compressor for $350 on Amazon, but found that the condenser Denso sells to the public isn't same one they sell to Honda...(doesn't have as many plate/fins) so I got condenser for about $300 through Hondapartsnow. Ran me a little over $700, have my own vacuum pump & gauges..
I wanted the best possible performance at idle, the factory condenser has 5 mm between plates- which according to an article is optimum.
Muchas Gracias me fue muy uitil la explicación , pude cambiar las bombillas sin problema

Unfortunately, you'll never get as many hits as a clumsy cat or celebrity wardrobe malfunction, but... the world is what it is. 😜

Just in case you break the tabs on the housing like so many have done. Here is the part number to buy new ones. I searched all over to find the correct number but I couldn’t.

I have a 2008 Touring, not sure if it's the year or the trim but mine are different.
Thanks Sir so much
Maybe my '09 is a transition in these lights. They're not like yours. They have a round dome with flange wings.

This is not valid for the 2008
Looks nothing like the 2009 Exl
This is only accurate 05-07
Not for my 2010

Yeah, of all the things to continually change -- I guess Honda couldn't quite decide and flipped a coin each year 😊
Thanks!
