I'm looking at a 2007 Odyssey for our daughter for $2500. At a dealer I've dealt with before and are pretty good about negotiating. I've had 3 Town and Country vans. all with stow and go seating. I like those because I use the vans as wok horses and like the cargo space while allowing a seat to be pulled from the floor for extra passengers. Usually by myself so not often I need the extra seat. They were all good vans.
I’ve driven and owned everything. High end sports cars to old school vans and trucks. @@rhpphr11 the timing belt was the first maintenance I did on the van and completely went through it from there taking about 2 years to get it up to my standard as in looks, interior, exterior and reliability, the van is mainly used for road trips or long distance travel so everything has to be on point and given the age and miles a lot of parts where replaced even though they didn't fail yet and glad i did cause it runs really good and just came back from Las Vegas and drove from Cali to Nevada drove around Vegas for a few days and drove back to Cali on a single tank and no mechanical issues, I put 680.0 miles on the tank and got 29.0 MPG and thats a mix of mostly Highway driving with some city driving as well if it was all Highway I could had gotten well over 30 MPG...not bad at all.
Thing is with any vehicle if you don't want to damage your head gasket then ensure that you change your antifreeze every 40 to 50,000 kms or 30,000 miles. Change oil every 5,000 miles, transmission oils every 40,000 miles.. checking all the oils at least once s month is a good idea. By doing this your vehicle will last a very long time without too many headaches.

Dude the self esteem part, I was just blessed with a New born alhamdulilah and I have an Altima 2010 with the car seat it's too tight but this self esteem part man oh man
The rust on the back wheel wells seen in the video is very common for these 05 Hondas. Nearly every one I see on the road has that issue with rust in that spot. Luckily mine aren't too bad
Touring 05-07 model came with a optional tray + cup holder, no seat, 08-10 and some 05-07 have the foldable jump seat that when folded it has a small tray and cup holder as well.
Simply stated you over estimated it's mileage. It's good but not great. I justify this as mileage per person and it makes me feel better. Simply stated, if you bought leather it didn't last. I thought I was abusive but when I looked to buy a used van they were all damaged in the same way. The door tracks will need to be replaced. It's not hard or expensive. It is relatively inexpensive to repair. Compared to my other cars this is cheap. Now that my kids are grown (and gone) this is the best in-door truck you could ever own!
We lost 3000 rentals during the fire here on Maui so so a friend of mine had one of these Odysseys in 07 and I got it for free just had to pay the back taxes which was about $1,200 of course the rear doors didn't work so I fixed that and then I got a good car now I'm living in my Odyssey and I definitely have no self-esteem

Unfortunately it is not the only item to inspect.Actually the tensioner for the timing belt is the main culprit that looses its ability to maintain the tension leading to belt slippage/engine damage so you could inspect the belt and find it is new but they may not have replaced the tensioner or replaced it with one of the many aftermarket products(cheap) that will fail earlier than oem

@@slobo5568 07-10 pretty good overall, 05-06 are better than 2nd gens but still somewhat problematic.
The only issue with this van which I had 2 of them . Is that electric sliding doors on both vans the doors went out on me . The first was fixed at the dealer out of pocket. The 2nd time I said F this . I put the doors manual . Got rid of both of them. And bought a SUV
Lol just bought a 09 to haul scouts. Funny that was your reason too!
I JUST BOUGHT THIS VAN WITH 250 KMS ON IT & CHANGED ALL THE FLUIDS INCLUDING TRANNY FLUID THESE VEHICLE LS ARE AWSOME RUNS EXCELLENT ...LOTS OF ROOM INSIDE ...HONDA D8D A GREAT J9B WITH THEM
love it. thanks it really helped me. been looking for a 2005 model
Curious, how much are you selling your Honda Odyssey for? Great informative video!
I say that the Chrysler 2002 T&C is the greatest of all minivans. I recently got a 09 Sienna and the thing has all kinds of issues that the T&C does not. Get this the drivers side door pins wore out on the 09 sienna meanwhile the 02 T&C is till going strong!
Dude the self esteem part, I was just blessed with a New born alhamdulilah and I have an Altima 2010 with the car seat it's too tight but this self esteem part man oh man
Did the storage area for little packets of drugs continue through all model years of the Odyssey?
I believe so, but I'm not an Odyssey drug dealing expert 🤣
The rust on the back wheel wells seen in the video is very common for these 05 Hondas. Nearly every one I see on the road has that issue with rust in that spot. Luckily mine aren't too bad
Just bought a 2007. Everything runs and works, except my driver door can't be locked or unlocked by power. Is this something I could fix myself?
is it still holding up ok? thinking about purchasing an 07
You’ll have to replace the cable inside the door!
@@slobo5568 We may look into B U Y I N G one instead.
Where is the center seat located? I brought one without the center seat. Just the cup holders.
The center seat is removable. It's possible they removed it and never put it back in.
Touring 05-07 model came with a optional tray + cup holder, no seat, 08-10 and some 05-07 have the foldable jump seat that when folded it has a small tray and cup holder as well.
or it could also be stored in the floor if the lazy susan is out
How can I purchase one
I recently bought my 2005 honda oddessy i love it very depedable tons of room, and gets better gas milage then my car ,,so why knock it,
How many miles?
Did you check to see if manufacturers maintenence was followed asI believe it has an INTERFERENCE engine and requires the timing belt be REPLACED every 60k-105k? 2000 dollar bill if you are lucky enough to find a dealer who will do it for you.Of coarse you could chance it but if it slips, breaks,or comes off engine is junk! The pistons smash into the valves.Check it out man it's REAL!
You recommend getting a 2010 honda odyssey van with 78k miles one owner??
IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT! Otherwise it has an INTERFERENCE engine and requires the timing belt be REPLACED every 60k-105k? 2000 dollar
@@rhpphr11 should the dealer know if timing belt has been replace or is there any way I can know if I purchase it???
@@strongtowerman9661If it has been done properly they should be falling all over themselves to show documentation to prove it right?Otherwise Remove dust covers and inspect it
Unfortunately it is not the only item to inspect.Actually the tensioner for the timing belt is the main culprit that looses its ability to maintain the tension leading to belt slippage/engine damage so you could inspect the belt and find it is new but they may not have replaced the tensioner or replaced it with one of the many aftermarket products(cheap) that will fail earlier than oem
Is there aftermarket backups camera for this u can install?
This would be perfect for my fishing poles and kayak transport
Little Packets of Drugs 😂😆😂😆
While I have a great appreciation for silly humor, that "Lost all dignity and self-respect" crack was ass.. lol ~these vans rule the highway and town more than any S2k. Just remove the seats in the back (15 minute job) and they're the best little handyman vans on the planet.
Great Video!
how is your mk3 doing? would be thrilled to see another video :)
Both are sitting in the garage patiently waiting for their turn run wild! I should be doing an update video soon. I've recorded one 3 times now and have had either audio or video problems, so I'll have to redo them. Stay tuned! Thanks for your support!
Nice video, pls can one use it as normal car as other cars all day?
Awesome, bro.....great content!
IVE GOT RUST ON MY ODDESY IN THE SAME SPOTS
is it still working well
I sold it a long time ago...
Why didn’t Yiu clean your car before filming? It’s filthy on the inside.
Shutup
Yes… video is funny and informative… but yeaah, he shoudve cleaned it first before showing it to the world 😆😆😆
What a stupid comment, like he cares if his van is clean for you.
@@richellozamora6575another stupid comment.
Was this supposed to be what to look for or what to look out for??
Omg my coworkers is selling a mini van but fuck i camt see myself in a van but im tired of riding my bike in Houston too and from work
If you get it, tint the windows 😂😂😂
@@Miguelsgarage I'ma have too cause they got me fucked up 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm parking far away from everything 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And I really must be a true kid of the keystone state. As soon as I saw where he was parked, I thought to myself "That looks like home." Sure enough, I saw the license plates😅😅😅😅
This is a nice car
self esteem is what we learned during health with mrs.salome do you know mrs.salome
I do not know Mrs Salome. I bet she was an awesome teacher who drove an odyssey!!
2006 honda odessey 118,000 for 3000 is it worth it??
It really depends on condition and options, but if everything checks out, that’s a good price!
I just let 1 get a away from me. It was a 05 with navigation and leather seats and DVD player in the back. 94k miles for 4k. Paint was chipping/fading in some spots and ac needed to be pumped up again. Kind of wish I would have bought it. Everything else in the market is pricey/beat up and tons of miles
👍💖 I love your honda odyssey minivan van
Good review
Lol, the speedometer goes all the way to 160! WOW😁
This minivan means business!!!
🚙==========💨
“Little packets of drugs” 😂😂
You’re funny!😂😂😂 you can put all your feelings inside, lol 😂 pretty spacious! Ha!
😂im looking at a 2010 EXL, Rootbeer-Rose color. It is mint with 145k on it here in vegas. They want 9000 and ill give em 7500 out the door and see what they say.
Thanks so much for the info and the humor!
😂😂👍🏽 I have no feelings or self-esteem left
Hang in there... it gets better! I hear that turbocharging them helps! LOL JK. Thanks for watching! I really appreciate it!

I’ve lost my balls 😢
The exterior looks good but man the interior looks so old lol
I don’t know Holmes , the sun glasses the made up name. I think the mini van is yours and you’ve lost all self esteem. Common admit it! 😹
I already said I bought the minivan! Catch up LOL
