Those trills are beautiful! I had to applaud with the audience at the end. It's such a pity that there were so few younger people in the audience; all generations should appreciate this talent. Grossartig! Gut gespielt!

Mr van Hoef is a genius. I have never heard anything like such playing, in my very long life of listening to such music. And I can't define his magic - it's just awesomely there, even in a playful piece like this
I agree. First time I saw Carpenter he was working with the horn player of the Berliner Philharmonic and had a large group of kids on stage. I was impressed with how good he was with them. Looked for more of his work and found him to be conceited and full of himself. Gert is head and shoulders above him, I don't care if the Carp. was nominated for an Emmy...boy he won't let you for get that. I'll take GvH any day!!
Absolutely one of the best. Carpenter is good but i dont like his style at all. You should also check Markus Wargh he is one of the best of our time! I dont understand why he gets so little attention cause he really is one of the greatest of all time!!gert is very good and a true master of the pipe organ!! Greetings from Finland

Gosh, Marjolein worked almost as hard as you yourself on this one. I ask myself what an organist does on an organ like this if he doesn't have that extra pair of hands to help him? A wonderful and completely successful version of the William Tell overture. Bravo to both of you....and baby too...
I'm glad you showed more of the church. Wow several balconies it'd be awesome to hear two choirs doing double choir compositions there. Also it's apparent the console of the organ is installed on the side of the case. Seeing this video after the one where you were deciding on the registrations you'd use makes us all appreciate the work Marjolein does at each performance.

In my opinion, Gert surpasses the likes of Cameron Carpenter ANY DAY!!! His organ voicing, in my opinion, is perfect.
