Dr dray giving me even more reason to not leave my dark apartment
9:40 starts product description. Thank you Dr Dray!
Mynameonlynotyours was searching for this lol thank you
I agree with you completely!! As an MD myself, I love all your videos and love your medical explanations. I think people are thirsty for this! Completely agree with you sunscreen advice! You are absolutely wonderful and just keep doing what you do!! 💕❤️💕💕❤️💕💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕
Thanks!
Yay! Another doctor on YT! Following you now
How to get Vitamin D if we are not exposed to sun?
@@zdravljeizmojebaste669 Many foods are fortified with vitamin D or you can take supplements.
@@helpfulnatural not sure if is it coincidence, but, my vitamin d levels got lower when I started using sunscreen on my face....
Hi Dray! Thanks for the video and great news about the addl colors! It’s awesome that they are listening to everyone’s concerns for more options. I really like the product and will buy the darker shade once mine is finished. Have a good day!
Love your look with the hairband and hoop earrings. They really suit you.
I’m darker complected and it works great for me, I’m loving it!! it wears nice as the day goes along with layering it.. but great its coming out in diff Shades!!
The colorscience 3in1 eye and the spf powder is on my sunscreen bucket list. I plan on ordering it soon. I just placed a YesStyle sunscreen order so my frugal self can’t justify ordering more right this moment 😊
you are such a gift to all of us and what you do for us is greatly appreciated!!! you give us the "why" and provide such great demo's - i truly appreciate what you do for us/time you take to make these awesome videos.
I love you Dr Dray!:)
I love this product. The original color works for me perfect as well. Thank you so much for sharing this product with us and keeping the reviews up on the new products. I have a question on the DRMTLGY sunscreen I bought the one universal tint and loved it but was wondering if you had tried the medium shade in the glow sunscreen. How they compare and which do you like better. Thank you so much
Can't wait to try this now that there's a "fair" shade!! ♥️
I just recently started using sun bum face 50spf. I love it! It’s not greasy and absorbs well into the skin. Pretty sure there is no fragrance in it as well. They just came out with a mineral formula that I can’t wait to try. Just ordered the mineral lip spf. Can’t wait for it to be delivered!!!
Awesome tip, to use the white cast to your advantage around eyes!
Thank you so much for making this video. It’s just what I needed!
Thank you for all the knowledge !! You’re a mine of gold Dr Dray !!
Happy Valentine's Day dr. Dre, Mama Dre and Tybee! I have that Walgreens sunscreen and it's kind of white on my face and powdery instead of moisturizing but I'm going to try it around my eyes I might like it there better. Happy for the discount on the color science 3 in 1. That's been on my wish list for a while as well. Glad they have additional shades, don't know if I have a peachy undertone as well or what.
Happy Valentine's Day, Dr Dray! 💕 Really found this so helpful! Some sunscreens burn when I put them close to my eyes. Obviously I don't like to neglect that area so I just put up with it. Thank you so much! I will be searching for a new one for the eye area. I hope you have a cozy evening. 😊
I've been using a sunscreen that burned my eyes so much my tearing just washes it off. I thought it was my allergies, but it was my dang sunscreen! Lol. Gonna try the Walgreens baby! Thanks for all you do! Lysm!!!
Merci ! Have a great saturday in your beautiful Texas, Docteur.
Yes! Heavy mineral sunscreen- for example Elta MD UV sport SPF 50 can work as a highlighter, though it can smear mascara later in the day. Also I like Colorscience Sunforgettable Face Shield tinted SPF 50 for around by eyes-less heavy, to me, than the eye one. But it does give a nice cover up and highlight for brow bone and under eye.
Happy Valentines Day!
Thank you for this video Dr Dray. I actually went out and bought a bunch of sunscreens today and can't wait to try them all out! Definitely would have gotten it in my eyes if not for this vid lol!!! xox
I've always been hesitant about applying sunscreen around my eyes but after watching your past videos on sunscreens, I'm now more confident applying it on the eye area! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, Dr. Dray. ❤️
Aix Cañete thanks for watching 👍🏼
Thank you, Dr Dray❤️
Love you Dr. Dray! Happy Valentines Day!
I love the idea of using mineral sunscreens for babies on my eyes. Makes my list. I have been using stick forms sunscreen and they don't ever go cause irritation--even in a pool. And sunglasses--always getting wide arms for extra protection.
I use the Olay UV365 Sensitive SPF 30 around my eyes several times a day and it doesn't burn or irritate my eyes at all. It is a combination sunscreen with zinc, octinoxate, octisalate, and octocrylene.
This makes me so happy!
Just in time for sweating season!
Thank you!!!!
I tried the Walgreens baby--its a mineral sunscreen so it leaves a cast, but that's ok as long as I'm protected. Thanks Dr. Dray.
Happy Valentines Day Dr. Dray. Loved this
video on safe sunscreens for eye area.
Diane Stuart thanks 💘💘
I love dermatology spf! Thanks to Dr. Dray, I finally found a spf that doesn’t burn my eyes. I love you Dr. Dray! You rock 🎉😊
Thank you for the tips! I’ve tried different sunscreens for my eye lids and all of them run into my eyes and irritate them so badly. After watching this video I decided to use a sunscreen I bought a while ago but wanted to throw away cuz it’s pure mineral and I’m Latina with brown skin. I figured let’s try this on my eye lids and it truly does not irritate my eyes at all, and this is even with me wearing my mask all day at work getting hot air up into my eyes lol + I like the highlighting effect! Perfect! I use the banana boat kids sunscreen and bought it at the target section where travel sized items are at if anyone is interested 😉
Awesome..I will get the one mentioned in the video today :)..Btw does applying tinted sunscreen around the eyes daily make dark circles worse?
THANK GOD you're posting this! My eyes are SO sensitive and Sunscreen usually burns them all the time! Makes trying to have a good makeup day, impossible, if I put it too close to my eye area! 🤦🏻♀️
Hi, Can I ask something,
Are your eyelids sensitive or IN your eyes? I have this also with especially sunscreens (also sometimes with other skincare) That it irritates IN my eyes...
So it seems like the damps of the skincare flys in my eyes..? I dont know.
So difficult to find products that doenst irritate IN my eyes... :)
Happy Valentines Andrea ! I needed this , thank-u so much doc .
Happy Valentines!
Hello Dr. Dray! I am so happy you have posted about this content because I have trouble looking for a sunscreen that does not sting my eyes. I do use a mineral sunscreen around my eyes instead, however, it pills!!
I live in Canada and it is hard to find the product Cleure that won't cost me a lot of shipping cost. So alternatively, I will try the Coppertone Pure and Simple. I hoped it won't pill!
Can you make a video about physical and mineral sunscreens that won't pill on the skin?
Thank you!
Hi Dr. Dray, I would love a review of Isntree Micellar Cleansing Oil!! I came across it on yesstyle and I’m pretty sure its new. It’s fragrance free and seems to have good ingredients.
Great video. I bought the Color Science last year and it was expensive but it lasts a long time and
I will repurchase it. 😊
Oh! Oh! The lighter Colorscience color is what I need! I tried the peachie one and it was too much. Thanks, Dr. Dray!
WAP 👍🏼👍🏼
hi Dr. Dray! do you have any recommendations for eye creams that deal with fine lines? I am 21 and am just noticing some small lines under my eyes and I would like to get rid of them. Thank you!! love your videos!!
Love your content! I have a query about using tacrolimus ointment 0.1 on the eyelids. So my dermatologist prescribed it for my eyes as I have been struggling with ezcema in the eyelid area. Could you do a video about it explaining the side effects and which side effects that apply to the tablet and pill aren't relevant when using it as a cream?
Your skin looks sooo good. Like glass! I have been trying to just go with tinted sunscreen and mascara , per your advice, but my mascara smudges. It never does with foundation. Is your thrive mascara water proof? I struggle with dbl cleanse in that my eyes are very bothered by the cleansing balm. I’ve tried all you have recommenced
Good stuff Thanks Doc Also I love your head wrap and hoop earrings Lol☺💝
Hey, Dr. Dray!! So cool that there are more color options for the color science product! The peach one you use is way too light and pink colored -- I got a sample and it did not work well for me.
I use the Eltamd Elements tinted sunscreen, and it works fine around my very extremely sensitive eyes. But now I am curious about the darker color science colors!!!
Happy Valentine's Day, dear Dr. Dray, to you and mom and Tybee ❤🐕🐾
Happy Valentines!
Love that Colorescience has different shades for renewal therapy. I bought a tube a couple months ago and the original shade was too dark for me so I would have to put concealer over it.
it was a much needed addition
Dr Dray would you mind reviewing the new elf hemp line? The whole line is free of fragrance so I would love to hear your opinion on the products.
Thanks for all your great info Dr... Can I wear a chemical sunscreen like 'Beet The Sun' with the new screening chemicals OVER pure physical sunscreen? Thanks much!
What are your thoughts about using the Vanicream lip sunscreen for the eyes?Is this gentle enough for the skin around the eyes?Thank you.
I have realized that 2 of my chemical sunscreens make my eyes teary, so Im pretty sure it is the avobenzone. I was so upset since most sunscreens have avobenzone and nicely tinted mineral sunscreens are kinda of expensive. I used the application technique you showed us with my chemical sunscreen and it really made a lot of difference! My eyes still get teary from time to time but it’s a lot better than before. thank you so much.
The coppertone pure and simply is on clearance at Rite Aid in Massachusetts They are switching over to Walgreens. I grabbed a few bottles for around $3.00 expiration date 2022. Thanks for the recommendation 😘
Ive been wanting to try Colorscience for a while now
Happy Valentines Day to everyone.❤️🌹! I use the colorscience total eye and I love it.
Happy Valentines!
I have bought Colorescience total eyes 3 in 1 renewal therapy as u recommend and I agree with u, it's great product. Can we re-apply it many times as the suggested use only 2 times ? Do we need to use moisturizer before it ?
I'm glad I found this. I will track down some baby spf at my local Walgreens. I made the mistake of putting sunscreen on my face, and then I have a bad habit of rubbing my eyes without thinking. So I got sunscreen in my eyes and it burned for an hour and a half (I think I also read somewhere that spray sunscreen makes a good alternative to pepper spray if you can't obtain pepper spray, and I'm here to tell you it would work...)
I am using colorescience 3 in 1 as you recommended, the tint is amazing as a concealer for under eye dark circle!
:)
this responds all my questions
I recommend Paula's Choice Resist SUPER-LIGHT WRINKLE DEFENSE SPF 30 as sunscreen around the eyes, especially for light skin types, it does not irritate the eyes, it slightly moisturizes and it is a mineral sunscreen.
Hi Dr Dray how are you doing!? Have you ever used or heard about the Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sunscreen? Some people say its the best in the market for oily skin...I wanna try this one and maybe Isdin Fusion Water Oil control... Could you post a review of this ones? Thanks, have a Nice weekend...
Yaaass, my favorite topic! 😍😍😍😘😘😘
Dr Dray it's like you read my mind! I've been having trouble with sunscreens irritating my eyes.
I'm a poor college student so you have no idea how much I appreciate the knowledge (and entertainment 😉) you share in your videos! My skin/hair has never looked better. Thanks Doc for all you do! ❤
Thanks for watching
Hi Dr. Dray. I’m home recuperating from surgery to remove melanoma from my scalp. Can you recommend sunscreens for this area. I wear hats ever since I started watching your videos about a year ago, but I work in a space with lots of natural light. Wearing a hat indoors at work is socially impractical. BTW, I credit you with getting to the dermatologist sooner than later and catching the melanoma in an early stage. Thank you so much! Also, a new tinted sunscreen we have here in Canada is L’Ombrelle (Garnier) SPF 60 Ultralight 100 % mineral (titanium dioxide). The color is not orangey. I’d appreciate your review of this product.
As always VERY helpful and informative video! You did mention to use makeup that has a mineral sunscreen, would bareMinerals be a good choice in your opinion??
i've been thinking about bare minerals rescue tint and their powder too. i wish she would review it
Dr., do you reapply the Colorscience around your eyes after you reapply your other sunscreens during the day?
Just bought this so fast. lol! I have no regrets!
Thank you for this video! Can you please make a video about your thoughts on depilatories such as Nair and Veet? I was going to buy some but read an article that wasn’t favorable towards them.
Thank you! 😃 🙏🏻
Reneé I have one
Dr Dray Ok, I found it. Thank you.
I have Rosacea and just found out I also have Ocular Rosacea (they can travel together). I find any chemical sunscreen burns my eyes, if I use it on my face. I love mineral sunscreens! Much more tolerable.
🙌🙌🙌 *Fab as always Dr. Dray . . . we all are so very grateful for your
'shares' and deep knowledge in all things surrounding our skin care.
Truly appreciate and am continually, on-the-daily, sharing your info with
*total* strangers who I end up chatting to in stores or in healthcare.
So helpful!
I’ve tried three products Dr Dray has recommended - La Roche-Posay 60spf sunscreen & salicylic acid face wash, and hada labo hyaluronic acid. They are all wonderful & making a huge difference in my skin. I’ve only been using them for 5-6 weeks. The sunscreen is much better than the obagi matte sunscreen I was using. Thank you so much!! ♥️
Thank you ❤❤❤ the one my last dermatologist recommended burned my eyes so badly that it left me effectively blind for a few hours after applying, so I was extremely wary of applying sunscreen at all
For me the colorscience one is the best. I wear contacts and also have super sensitive skin
Awesome as always! Which one would you suggest for really sensitive eyes out of all of these? I can only tolerate crerave light lotion around my eyes. Thanks in advance! OXOX

16:54 -- Nice display of their shades. Hope however, your favorite company does more for people w/ darker skin tones. For persons of color who can come in any of a number of 32 different shades, Color Science's: 3 in 1's 'Deep' shade only touches the surface of coloring for people with brown or darker skin tone. Fingers crossed that someone from their company happens to watch your video and rings up their marketing, research, or their development department to ask for improvement. Interesting video. I don't think very many people ever thing about sunscreen specifically for around the eyes. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Is the color science applicator safe for a nickel allergy? Can you do a video related to nickel allergies please 😊 I always worry about my mascara wands possibly having nickel
i have to say.... i have more skincare stuff in the past two months than in the past 20 years since i started watching you. my budget has got to improve to support my desire to improve... so today... i invested in the Colorscience 3-in-1 product as my eyes are noticeably dry and puffy. they are not liking a lot of the spf's that sting, burn, etc, despite mineral bases. so... here goes... and thank you for all your efforts. i kind of wish you were the one i could invest in... you'd be my version of a derm-store-iherb-one-stop-shop....
Yes 😊 Tgif. Love this. Happy valentine's day 💖 Dr Dray and peeps
Reed Berger-Fleishman happy Valentine’s Day 💘💘
@@DrDrayzday thank you!
Funny, I was just doing this. I use the Beet shield, a chemical sunscreen. I have easily irritated eyes but this doesn't irritate me. I have also used Elta's spf 46. Seems ok.
I always wear huge sunglasses, even in winter. I think they protect quite well
Always the perfect timings for ur videos and what i always search for and reviews and its like ur listening to me🤣😘
Thank you for posting this. I have had a nasty basal cell cancer in the skin just under my right eye (inner campus) removed twice in the past two years and am going again for another removal in a few weeks. This time more extensive surgery. I have used a lot of sunscreen over the past 25 years but as you know, sun damage is cumulative. My Dermatologist (whom I respect) tried a cream, then a scrapping neither of which worked. He did this because it is such a delicate area. Your message is so important! Thank you. (please also talk about sunglasses).
I had two small basal cell carcinomas removed from near the lower corner of my left eye, about a little finger thumbnail from the corner of the eye. He was able to just zap them, but it hurt and looked ugly. Also have had four tiny ones removed from the top of my upper lip, two at a time. Yikes, that hurt and made me look like I had face planted into a sidewalk. All my facial ones have been tiny but I had a MOHS and an excision on my right arm and an excision from my back - I thought that a mole - not a mole. Word to the wise - use sunscreen!
Roxanne Devaney I am sorry to hear you have had to go through that 💙
As a retired md I thank you for information. Switched to curve, rec my brother who at 80 developed psoriasis and the anti itch curve was wonderful for him. I am going to try colorlessence as my eyes get irritated very easily from many face products. Did well with drmlology 45 but recently had more trouble. Wish I had none to use daily when sunscreens first appeared, but no evidence at that time, but my skin is In good shape. Keep information comi g
Thanks for watching :) Hope you have a great weekend
I have the color science one but use it once in a while. I wish it wasn’t so so expensive ! Ayyy
The statistics about skin cancer certainly are a motivator to be diligent about sun protection! Happy Valentine’s Day.💗
Just waiting on the spf eye primer market to open up now
I've been using Neutrogena deep moisture day cream (spf 20) all over my face for the past 3 years and I love it.
She recommends 30 or above for optimal protection
I’m completely in love with the supergoop matte-mineral tintes sunscreen 40 spf. It has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide , is tinted and it feels super light in the skin. I’m wondering what are your thoughts about this particular one. Btw happy Valentine’s Day ❤️
Have you tried their Unseen Sunscreen? My eyes burned like crazy
does it leave a white cast?
Dr. Dray
I've watched quite a few of your videos now and I've learned a lot.
However, in this video I feel compelled to point out that the Coppertone Pure and Simple that you're recommending contains C12-15 alkyl benzoate. In the presence of uv rays, this breaks down to benzene!
I use and love the 3-in-1 from Colorscience! I have found that EltaMD Physical also works around my eyes and stays there!
Laurel Plummer I’ve heard great things about eltaMD is it tinted & do you use it on your whole face?
@@heartslove1942 yes it's tinted and I use it on my entire face and neck. Water resistant so it doesn't transfer and it stays almost matte all day. I have dry skin but it doesn't dry me out at all.
The Colorescience Sunshield is also fabulous but has more of a dewey finish which I also love. But if I'm going to be outside all day I think the EltaMD stays on longer.
Hooray! Thank you so much for making this video, I SO appreciate the information. My eyelids seem easily irritated by even mineral-only sunscreens so I am very grateful to learn about a few more options to try.
Rebecca Taylor thanks for watching 💙
Hi, I have the same problem. I have not find yet a sunscreen that doenst sting or give irriation on my eyes and eyelids... Do you have found a good one? Curious
@@user-zt6mb7nf3i I had the same problem & the La Roche Posay facial sunscreens seem to be the only ones that don’t irritate my eyes. I especially recommend the Anthelios 50+ hydrating cream, it’s my personal favorite for around the eyes
@@annecathymoore3810 Hi thank you! I have them. That one is actually the best for my sensitive eyes so far. But I think it is too greasy for me. The shaka fluid is a bit less greasy but not soo nice for my eyes as the hydrating cream. Do you use it only around your eyes or on your whole face? :)
@@user-zt6mb7nf3i I only use it around my eyes and for the rest of the face (I also have oily skin) the la roche posay anthelios xl dry touch gel-cream (the one with a green stripe that says anti-shine)
This one also doesn’t irritate my eyes but it’s a little drying on the eyelids, but for the rest of the face it’s perfect, it’s not shiny at all
Love your videos and watch them all! I don't communicate or comment much on video's but was hoping you could give some good advice/ideas on moisturizers that will help crapepy skin on eyelids? I don't have dark circles or wrinkles around my eyes that bother me/real noticeable to me except for my EYE LIDS THAT HAVE VERY WRINKLED CRAPEPY (SORRY FOR SPELLING) SKIN ON EYE LIDS. CAN YOU PLEASE RECCOMEND/ GIVE ADVICE FOR A MOISTURIZER OR PRODUCTS THAT MAY HELP ALONG WITH THE SUNSCREEN??? PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!
Dr Dray viewers ask great questions!
I have a question if I use Altruist sun screen, color science, so I need a specific eye sunscreen as well? Or are those 2 paired fine
Dr dray is it ok to use the 3 in 1 renewal around eyes and use a different t sunscreen for the rest of the face? Or do they both have to be the same brand?? Please help
Thanks Dr Dray I needed this👍🏽
:)
What do you think about the IT Cosmetics CC+ Eye Color Correcting Concealer? It hast SPF 50! The colorscience one is so expensive 😢
Growing up I was taught to not even put sunscreen on my forehead because it would run into my eyes. I feel so silly now. Never too late to learn best practices!
Penny Opinions it is not a comfortable sensation when it runs into the eyes 💧💧
Dr D, is sunscreen effective if we wear primer underneath, to prevent burning/stinging?
Hey, Dr. Dray. I just bought a bunch of new la roche-posay products (foaming gel, toner and moisturizer all targeted for oily and acne-prone skin) and now I'm breaking out :( also when I apply the toner it stings my face. Should I continue using the products for a while and see how my skin reacts or should I all together stop using the products?
I use skinaqua sarafit, no sting no white cast and super moisturized. I bought 5$ for 80gr, such a deal!
Thank you so much for this video doc. I have used the Cerave AM around my eyes with great success for the past 1 year. It doesn't sting and feels weightless and is invisible. Also seems to brighten the undereye quite a bit.
The Cerave AM blurs my vision!
I love CeraVe am but it gave me pretty bad allergic conjunctivitis when I sweat profusely from sports. Wl still use it but not around my eyes
