In this installment of "FEH", Hector is a mad dad and Roy is in trouble, but he didn't do anything wrong, so his cool dad Eliwood swoops in to help while Lilina makes a sweat-drop.

It's a running gag in this comic series though- Lucina and her variants mostly gush over how cool they perceive their dad to be, while young Eliwood mostly just beams over how amazing he thinks Roy is. LOOK AT HOW COOL MY DAD IS! vs LOOK AT HOW COOL MY FUTURE SON IS!
@@gtf234 Can t argue with eliwood though. In my opinion roy was the best lord especially with the sealed sword, O_o that guy can destroy anything with that sword in the 6th game.
@@log1883 Narratively he accomplishes some pretty huge feats that were believed to be borderline impossible, like successfully sieging Ostia Castle. Mechanically, he has really good growths for 6's meta- growths in that game are in general lower compared to what people are used to in 7 and especially 8 but also more lopsided and skewed. Roy has a solid balanced spread plus a relatively unique niche in being a rare physical, non-flier unit with good Res growth (he actually has better Res growth than the Pegs of that game)- Klein is more or less the only other one in that camp at 25%, Percival too but only because of his high base stat not his growth rate.
The only thing that really REALLY makes Roy bad, to a degree that makes many claim he's the worst Lord (always coming from people who never played anything older than GBA and thus don't know of how being Leif is suffering), is he promotes far too late in the game. After 21/21x is absurd when the game ends at 22 or 24 depending on which ending path you're on. He's going to hit 20 closer to Ch 12x ish and then be just an exp thief for the rest of the game. He needed to promote after Ch 16/16x (there is a mod out there to do this)- that's when the Lycian/Etrurian army finally begins its pushback against Bern, with Roy at the helm. That shift in the action's direction is when all the other event promotions happen since 6- Eliwood/Hector promote once you begin to really pursue Nergal with Athos's guidance to stop him; Erika and Ephraim promote after liberating their home and launching the campaign against the demons; Ike promotes when Begnion formally commits to providing manpower to drive Daein out of Crimea, etc.
@@gtf234 i am okay with roy being promoted late cause if he is not then he will just start sweeping the floor with that forsaken blade and must i remind you that he was the only gba lord that used a 2 ranged sword unlike his father , mother(i chose lyn) and father in law. and back in the gba days i thought roy was a bit too overpowered for having that sword. Imagine him getting it before chapter 20 . Not only would that be too easy for me but a bit mundane for an impossible challenge as well i mean the 7 and 8 lords get promoted a bit too early in my opinion.
Considering this is past Hector, he must literally only met Lilina and made aware that she's his daughter for 5 minutes and he's ready to kill everyone and then himself if something happens to her.
This is even better when you know what Eliwood's and Hector's B support in FE7 is.

I'll be sure to let Joey, the voice actor of Eliwood, know that-- He added that as his own improvisation! We all loved it so much we had to put it in. Same with Hector's final line, that was also improvised by the respective actor, Giorgio!

You know, Eliwood is at worst 50-50 in his sparring matches with Hector. The man is no slouch.
Dude's a swordsman and Hector's a muscle dude with a freaking axe. Cut him some slack already
For what it's worth, Eliwood is the one who ends up with the title of being the strongest knight in all of Lycia rather than Hector. And in his prime, kept Hector to 1 to 1 on the win/losses in their duels. The player base looks down on Eliwood, but not the story. Even in the manga sidestory, he singlehandedly puts down another Lycian coup even while presently enfeebled with undefined sickness (the manga's tone insinuates he's just sick at a really bad time, not terminally ill), while Al, Gant, and Tiena look on in awe. Like a badass he reminds them all: the protagonists, the rebels, and the cowardly Lycian lords- why he's called that title even in his current state.
That's the weapon triangle advantage for you!
Or that Eliwood got strength blessed.

In FE7, Hector even dreamed about Lilina taken away by a certain red-haired Pheraen boy even far before getting a spouse, and he was really suspicious that that boy was related to Eliwood. He swore that he would never let his daughter go, and Eliwood was really afraid how serious he was. Never did Hector think that day would come so soon... Well, at least we know Hector is an overprotective dad even in his teenager.
You cannot stop the shipping, Hector. You can not stop the precious pairing known as RoyxLilina.

@@SilentXTMR the weapon triangle only affects accuracy; and in the grand scheme of things, doesn't matter that much. Plus, Hector also has proficiency with swords and (according to heroes) lances

The biggest part of the joke nobody seemed to have mentioned is that lilina & Roy are both infantry units while eliwood is a calvary unit & of course Hector Is an armored unit

I might have not played the fire emblem games these 4 are in but i love them now and love how supportive Eliwood is. XD lately I have seen a lot of overprotective parents so a supportive one is awesome. Especially ine who would hold down another parent for their children to run away happily.
The best part is Eliwood is the only person (besides maybe Lyn) who can restrain Hector without getting bodied. Cause Hector WON'T go ballistic on his best friend.
He wouldn't go ballistic on his girlfriend/fiance/wife either. After all, he's never been one to hit a woman he's lost his heart to.

If I ever return to FEH, I'll make an Aether Raid defense map where 2 Hector and 2 Lilina are protected by a barrier of buildings, while a single Roy is outside of it all by himself.

Jessica This was definitely a fun one, being a fully-voiced dub or simply as the comic itself! I think it's awesome how Heroes made young Hector such a dad. The writer/artist really did a great job showcasing how different Eliwood and Hector uphold their roles as dads
@@Voxridian Yes, your team did a great job at voicing the characters by conveying their emotions. Especailly with the two fathers. It's also a very nice insight from the creators of FE showing that with Hector and Eliwood meeting their children from a future they have not experienced yet to feel sudden fatherly affection for Roy and Lilina.

Roy is in all likelihood canonically Ninian's son. Lilina is likewise in a likelihood canonically Lyn's daughter.

The original game itself heavily pushed it because Roy and Lilina have the fastest support base and growth in the game, plus only Lilina's A support changes the epilogue. Roy has a paired character ending with whatever girl he A supports, but only Lilina has a unique epilogue scene; Roy otherwise only speaks to Guinevere. Even in the Hasha no Tsurugi manga, it assumes Roy marries Lilina in the epilogue. 6 is heavily based on and emulates 1 in a lot of places, Lilina is largely a stand-in for Caeda in this context and her relationship with Roy has a relatively similar dynamic.
@@gtf234 plus, other dialogue throughout the game gets atleast slightly edited depending on Lilina and roy's support level iirc
@@gypsysprite4824 Just the different epilogue scene, Lilina plays no dialogue purpose beyond 8x until the epilogue. After that the game doesn't really care if she's alive or dead.

@@SlenderDX1530 On the other hand, in Binding Blade, Hector has no problems whatsoever about Roy being with Lilina. In fact, he literally forces Roy to promise nothing would happen to Lilina in his (Hector's) then permanent absence, which Roy does.

Tamaro Animations If you notice, the artists' names are all in katakana* and thus are from Japan. If you also notice, there are about 5 different names that rotate per comic, too. If I am correct, It's a team of artists that make these for an online magazine. So yeah, it's their actual jobs to make these as official manga. They are only officially released in Japan but, there are English translators that have made fan localizations for us. We use Maikantopia's translations since they are really good for dubs
