Lots of fire emblem characters have living fathers. However, if you're the dad of a main Lord, you're not getting to the end of the game without dying in at least 1 timeline (unless your name is Eliwood).
For anybody that needs Context (SPOILERS), So there's this thing in the Fire Emblem games where the Main protagonists parents die. Marth's Parents? Dead Before the game even started. Ike's Dad? Got Killed by an Armor Knight in Black. Hector, who became the father of a Daughter? Killed by An Armor Knight in Purple. Byleth's Dad? Killed by a Mime lady who can Reverse Time or something like that. Don't forget FE4 where 80% of your army can be married and Are Eventually parents. They all get Killed by a some guys with Meteor tomes where of them Became an Armor Knight in Red. However, Roy's dad (Eliwood) is one of the Few FE parents that lived.
If someone understands that better than me, I am impressed. Also the FE protagonists should be parentless unless it's a time travel situation like Lucina and Robin.

For some reason the neighboring country didn't learn from this and tried to mess with another one of his childhood friends and said childhood friend's sister so he ended up taken over that country too....twice.
What I am saying is that it doesn't take a lot to get Sigurd to wreck someone's ****
The story of Sigurd's life, really.
I can only imagine how many university essays will label him "The Accidental Conqueror" in future generations.
Love how hes embarassed for the whole but he also agrees
This is Eliwood's revenge for not being in Engage.
SO SO excited to see RisingSunfish's comics getting the love they deserve! Her work has been delighting the Fire Emblem community for so long :) I hope you do the Ask Claude and Pasha series!!
Lillie: “My father sorta got me a sister who fight for me…”
*Behind her is Lillie’s Sister a shiny nihilego*
Alear: O_O I wish I can unsee that.
Me: * grabs the fire hose * Calm down Lillie.
Divine dragon: " Okay and are you really going to stop helping me deal with an evil dragon that if he finds your ring can forcefully corrupt you into a mindless servant?"
Roy is one lucky guy.
Roy is too wholesome. I love whoever voiced him.
YOU’RE too wholesome. (Thank youuuu!!)
@@bluejet2235 I love how you did his voice!!
You can always go the Elden Ring route with summoned ashes.
"You. Are. *Mine."*
Meanwhile Half Of The Entire Smash Roster: *having no mom*
Pyra / Mythra: I have Brothers....We don't get along.
Lucas: *Had* a mom
Hmph. It's a good thing Disney Summons aren't this weird in Kingdom Hearts. Most summonses don't have parents. :p
Oh
*Disney Characters:* DADDDYYYY!!!🥺😢😭
Simba: Has a Mother; Dad dead killed by his own brother since cub
Mushu: Doesn't have Parents
Genie: Doesn't have Parents
Wreck it Ralph: Doesn't have Parents
Dumbo: Has a Mother; Doesn't have a Dad
Peter Pan: Has Parents; But ran away from home since he was a Baby
Tinker Bell: Doesn't have Parents
Stitch: Doesn't have Parents (Just his Creator)
Chicken Little: Has a Dad; Mother Decease
Bambi: Has a Dad; Mother Decease
Ariel: Has a Dad; Mother Decease
This is why Alear had extra reasons to kill his dad (sombron) TWICE
Most parents in fire emblem are usually happy to have their children join the protagonists army, plus the the only thing Roy can even do as an emblem is lend someone else his power.
Should've hired Robin. He'd be way more on board with disobeying dad (if he weren't already dead)
Roy really went to the council of the wise
Yellow: I mean the boy Roy does have a point, it is basically indentured servitude … or if they’re not even getting paid it may as well be slavery
At least if they're magic AIs it's a bit better. Now, FEH on the other hand.
@@JosephJohns-xi1qb … I’ll be real I never played any of the FE games … sorry
Me: He kinda does have a point.
@@ARTSONICFAN990 Yellow: yyyup
@@JosephJohns-xi1qb Especially taking into mind that FEH adds fridge horror that mean of the character's were taken BEFORE their canon deaths, such as Sigurd (wonder if Arvis is having anxiety seeing Sigrud alive and not aware he's destined to kill him via fire! Surprising Sigurd is willing to work with him! I get the Deidre in FEH is the one that got her memories supressed by Manfroy as she's still having flashs of Sigurd and ) and then you have Leila where they had a support with Matthew having issues seeing her because she's taken before Jaffar killed her, and the Matthew you get is implied to be AFTER your first visit to Dread Isle! I have to wonder how JAFFAR feels seeing her, as I'm assuming this is him AFTER his face heel turn to protect Nino! (Or Nino seeing her twin sons while she's around their age, sad part was when she mentioned wanting to have twins someday with no idea she's doomed to never see either son again!)
Man, I made myself depressed again LOL
Lucina: _…excuse me?_
I can hear Lyn and Hector laughing at Alear in the background.
Alear: the Summoner doesn´t have to deal with this shit!
“This is exactly why they’re not supposed to even have dads.”
I don’t think you should say that in front of Corrin…(or Chrom or Robin…)
My bet is that one of the DLC Bracelets is going to be Eliwood+Hector
Well you were halfway right
At least byleth did not get to say that first
Ah yes, the dead parents cliche from fire emblem.
Roy is reading his words from Fire Emblem: Engage.
The power is in the mustache
Go Eliwood. Dude gets it.
Excalibur Umbra: *(facepalm)* Honestly, u *_don't_* want to go down that line of thinking.
Meanwhile FEH Kiran: I have a gun
And then there's Corrin who killed every father figure she has ever had.
Eliwood: WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY SON! I AM A PROTAGANIST! LYN, HECTOR, TO ME!
Should we say something about Chrom & married Male Robin/Corrin
Lots of fire emblem characters have living fathers. However, if you're the dad of a main Lord, you're not getting to the end of the game without dying in at least 1 timeline (unless your name is Eliwood).
@@jordancottrell1996 Except for Roy and Claude since they have fathers are still alive in their games.
For anybody that needs Context (SPOILERS),
So there's this thing in the Fire Emblem games where the Main protagonists parents die.
This is why i love Fanfics
“Indentured servitude?! I prefer the term… involuntary assistance”
so is this why the pokemon protagonist rarely ever have a father? because if they did he'd tell them how dangerous it is to send their 10-16 year old kid out into the world with nothing but a small animal to protect them from grown ass people who not only also have bigger pokemon but more experience
now that I think about it looking at pokemon journey's that might not be too far off given how chloe's dad reacted to her going on a trip by herself
Idk, Norman seemed pretty fine with Brendan(/May) going on their journey,
but then again he is a Gym Leader so that might be why
Now we know why he wasn't in Brawl and Fates!
Elliwood's just mad he's not in the game.
So that’s why most of the dad’s in Fire Emblem are either dead or evil.
Me: Well what do you want them to have: A tragic "Dead Parents" backstories similar to Lucina & Batman... However, unlike Batman, Lucina DID ended up saving her parents after they died in her future timeline after they died with a little help from time travel... AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN SUFFER FROM ANY TIME ALTERING CONSEQUENCES!
*Sad Batman noises.*
Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Sage, Joker, Bayonetta, Pyra, Mythra, Rex, Cloud, Sephiroth, Sora, Kazuya, Wii Fit Trainer, Sada, Turo, Nemona, Geeta, Mela, Penny, Grusha, Iono, Katy, Dendra, Eri, Rika, Poppy, Larry & Miriam: EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!
BF, Yukari: Ooooooo! 😮
@@雪者 SMG4 Mario: That was a bigger burn than the fat I just lost from my diet.
Me: INCOMING FLASHBACK!

@@ARTSONICFAN990 Yukari Takeba: Yep. Definitely saw that.
Aigis: Well, that explains everything.
@@雪者 Al: Wait. Mario ACTUALLY lost weight? Finally, some good news for once.
@@ARTSONICFAN990 Me: -1 will work here comrade. Just saying.
What the heck do you mean unpaid mercenary work?! You're dead, or a ring, i didnt get to play fire emblem engage. What are you gonna do with money?!
I expect nothing less form the guy who sacrificed his best friend to the Fire Emblem Dad Cursed.
Roy: not that im talented ...
Also roy:0 to death neutral B because i hit you shield THREE times
Eliwood the goat as usual
meanwhile, in Elibe: "Hey Hector... have you seen Lyn lately?"
All right we here you roy and we definitely won't replace you with on of or nice collection of op bracelets
I think Fire Emblem Engage technically takes place many years after every Fire Emblem games since the Engage Ring characters are spirits. I don't think Roy should have any family issues in the Engage timeline.
Well, they don't seem to be real at all. They specify they are emblem [insert character name here]. So none of them technically should have parents.
Wouldn't the Three House characters look.."different" then?
While it is true that Engage would happen after the other games as the emblems have memories of the events of each game. The emblems are not the spirits of the characters. They are more like representations of the characters.
Wait I thought it was just that they got teleported through time and space to where ever the fuck they need them from like their office or whatever study
@@TamerEnie They are taking the form of the first appearance.
This is exactly why they should.
Byleth: you guys still have dads?
Always gotta remember many of these guys would be dealing in statecraft so I can definitely see this happening
This is why Byleth's dad had to die. Would have never joined the war if he was around.
I had no clue on what Roy is saying throughout the entire conversation XD
He's basically saying, the engage rings are gloryfied slave collars and demanding proper compensation and workers right before being summoned again.
@@peterhacke6317 Ah, I get it... I think
And this is why Eliwood isn’t in Engage.
Ironically, Alear does have a dad…. Just not as bad as Corrin’s father
Poor Roy, he is still out boy though
Gabriel: Your new huh?
God this sounds exactly like my dad lmao
Roy's father, Eliwood, sounds more like Hector in this comic.
god dammit Eliwood
Eliwood is our boi.
Nah. Eliwood is just salty he doesn't get an Emblem form.
Alear is talking shit for someone in close range of Ninian dragon breath blast
without seeing the video, its because they die infront of their eyes, they are already dead, or know they are going to die, same with the mom
Damnit Elliwood.
