  • In this video I discuss why I bought and sold this watch a couple of times before finally realising it’s a keeper! I’m sure many of you can relate to selling a watch and regretting it but has anyone done this a couple of times before deciding it was a big mistake? Please let me know in the comments. Thanks to everyone who has subscribed to my channel. It’s early days but I’m excited to see if it’s something I can grow! I’d love to review as many watches as possible and hopefully help others to decide if a watch is right for them or not! Peace :)

    Fantastic piece and maybe a future cult classic? I wore mine pretty much everyday for 3 years, weddings, funerals, in the sea and for work. It truly can handle most situations. I’ve recently bought a seiko captain willard so it’s having a much deserved break, for now anyways. Enjoy.

      I have also worn mine relatively full time since it was released. I luv the size, specs and ability to dress it up or down

    I've had mine from july this year. 6.5inch wrist, one original link replaced by uncleseiko halflink and the micro adjustment set at the min. On the hottest summer days when the hand was swelling, shifted the micro adjustment to the middle. Perfect fit for me, absolutely, don't need anything more... Compared to rolex OP36 and exp 2022 (also 36mm) and the wearing experience is pretty comparable. Bought at AD brand new, it was quite expensive for me, but I don't regret at all, it healed me from rolex desire :) Love the simplicity, symmetry, reliable timekeeping, shining lume and the fact that no one outside knows that I have almost $3k watch on my wrist :)

    I have the 41 (19cm/7.5" wrist). I love it. When I look at the 36, the dial looks very crowded. The applied markers are the same size on both watches, but on the 41 they have a lot more space. Even so, that's a great watch.

    I was lucky enough to have Rolex Explorer 36 and Tudor Black Bay 36 at the same time. I sold Rolex and wear Tudor. Build Quality of both Watches is at the same level but there were a few things that made my decision. I may be the only one out there who hates mercedes hand. Snowflake hand looks much more unique to me, and I have to say I love it. I am not a big fan of 369 either. I like those round markers instead, it just feels right to me. On wrist this Watch feels humble, understated, sporty but elegant which makes it ideal everyday wear. Bb36 is slimmer than rolex but it has more wrist presence at the same time. My wife actually said that Tudor looks more manly… Bracelet is outstanding although I dislike those female endlinks, as they tend to scratch the first link if you are not carefull enough. 150water resistance makes it secure to any water activity. Mine is dead accurate, less than 1sec/day after 2years of ownership. Price is adequate to what you get which I couldn’t say about Explorer. This is just my opinion of course!

      Thank you mate! I have only been able to imagine having the 2 side by side but I definitely had the feeling I'd come to the same conclusion as yourself and agree with every single point that you made (even down to believing that the Tudor would look more manly) 🙂🙏👍

      I have made the same decision as you. And you are right about bb36 feels more masculin than Exolorer despite being both 36 mm, well at least on paper.

    I've got the BB36 in blue and it's amazing. Also uncle Seiko makes a half link for the bracelet if you need it.

    Great video! I have the BB36 blue dial and is my everyday watch. I love it more and more every time I look at the time. Goes with every occasion. The BB36 is actually my first luxury watch.

    I have a 7-1/8” wrist, mine fit perfectly out of the box. I think I moved the micro adjust in one. I’ve worn mine on multiple camping, motorcycling, and alpine river swimming trips, but it is exceptional, stunning really, with a suit - truly a go anywhere, do anything watch, and that’s why Im so devoted to it.

      Good to know it’ll fit 7” and slightly above with no problems 👍 Also good to know you’re enjoying yours in all settings, adventures etc. like you say it’s a GADA watch! 🙏👍

    Lovely watch, I have a bb58, I just can't bring myself to pay 2400 for an ETA based movement but that Christopher ward is so nice

    Wow, I watched this video and your other comparison video with the BB58 and it really helped my choice! I just got home from the Tudor boutique with my Black Bay 36 in black and I’m elated! I had tried it on leather before since they didn’t have the bracelet version and it didn’t do it for me. I also tried the blue on the bracelet but wasn’t convinced. Finally I went back and they had the black on bracelet and I knew right away this is the one! Everything about it just makes sense on the wrist. The crown tube, the snowflake hands. I love it! Thanks for the video!

    Three purchases tells me you consider it a mediocre watch. But I don’t blame you. I’ve been in the watch game for several years now and haven’t come ANYWHERE close to finding that perfect watch. It has been an agonizing past few years haha

    Absolutely love this watch, easily my favorite one watch collection under $5k. Unfortunately I’m selling mine as I also have a Grand Seiko and a Tudor BB58 that I find more interesting. But if I had to keep only one this would probably be it.

    Question… what’s your take on about the blue dial? By the way it looks absolutely great on your wrist don’t let it go never anymore ever! 😉

    I really like your taste in watches, Alan! Thanks for sharing! If to choose between Sinn 556A and BB36 which one would you pick? I have BB58 gilt and want to add black/white watch and I like the bb36 but my concern is that it will be way similar to BB58. What do you think? Also, have you ever considered Sinn 556i?

    • @Time_and_time_again
      @Time_and_time_again  Год назад +1

      Thank you mate! I would personally always choose the Sinn 556a over the bb36. Especially if you already have the 58! I’ve actually had a 556i at one point and really thought I’d prefer it but the glossy dial and the hands being slightly thinner made me want the 556a back! 🙏👍

    Lovely watch. I'm on the brink of buying one, but I'm not sure if Tudor will release an updated version with the same case as the new S&G BlackBay. What's your thoughts?

    • @Time_and_time_again
      @Time_and_time_again  Год назад +1

      Yeah I think it’s inevitable they’ll release a new version with in house movement. It will be priced a little higher I’d imagine. Having said that I think the pricing was great on the new ranger so maybe it won’t be priced higher!
