Love my black BB36 absolutely. From the summer, wear it day and night. The only thing I had to do for perfect fit was purchasing the uncleseiko half link and replace it for the regular one. Now it fits me perfectly for my ~6.25'' wrist and I still have 2 more holes in the micro adjust to make it larger if needed. Clasp is very nicely finished and operates very decent.
Don't mind the movement, as I use it as my only watch, and runs perfectly fine from 1 to 3 seconds per day. No reason to complain for me...
Crown tube is something strange, but I used to it. Crown operates perfectly and the mechanism seems robust enough.
Dial design is for me perfectly clean and readable, can read the time all the night when charging fully the lume before sleep.
Very important is, that the watch doesn't initiate any kind of attention from anyone, although it gives me the full wearing experience and top quality feel.
The only complain for the bracelet for me is, that the last link on 6 o'clock doesn't bend tightly but sticks a little from the wrist in some angles...
I paid a lot of money for my budged and cash flow, but don't regret absolutely, I'm convinced, nothing similar regarding design, case shape, bracelet quality, simplicity and reliability is available for that price range...
Hi Ivan, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the BB36 with us! Your love of the piece definitely comes through via this message! I also really like the BB36 myself and might add one to my collection eventually. Enjoy yours in good health my friend!
@@KCTimeShare thank you my friend for kind words. this watch is definitely not for everyone and don't meet everyone's expectations. And that's absolutely ok, all of us has its own taste and preferences... for example when you rotate more pieces, the longer power reserve is more important for you...
I really liked your video and it was a pleasure to see your timepieces, share your thoughts and passion for watches. Wear all of them with joy and in good health also
Some people don't like this watch but this is perfect for my 6.5 wrist. I have op36 but i use this more because it looks sporty and bigger
100%! The BB36 looks perfect on a 6.5” wrist! OP36 + BB36 makes a very good two watch collection, BB is more sporty and OP is more elegant 👍🏼
Thank you for your honest input. Too many people worry what others think but are glad you purchased a watch that connects with you. I have a few sport watches and need a dress watch. This model is versatile as it can be used in many situations. Enjoy your timepiece. Cheers
The black bay 36 in blue is absolutely beautiful watch. A definite fantastic one watch collection or starter watch.
I totally agree! It is one of my favourite Tudor/"starter" watches!
As soon as Tudor upgrades the movement to the 70hr power reserve in-house, I’m getting the BB36
I think I might do the same!
I will buy this old 36 with smiley face when the in house movement arrive, it will be cheaper both in price and repair 😂
Not a bad shout Sam! 😆
Done ! ;-)
@@The_Uni85 oh no, now I have to look for another excuse not to buy 🫣lol. As soon as Tudor upgrades the movement to 100hrs, I’m getting the BB36 😁
I own the black bay 36 with silver dial and find it the perfect size for my 6.5 inch wrist, the movement is well regulated and usually runs around +3 seconds a day which is excellent, as for the power reserve of 38 hours, that doesn't bother me in the slightest as I usually rotate with my other 4 watches every 3 days. Overall I love my BB36 and do not regret my purchase
Hey Jonathan, I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying your BB36. It sounds like it is the perfect watch for you. Enjoy it in good health! 👍🏼
I've tried this on at my local authorised dealer and its lovely. When it has the in-house movement in and at Tudors price point it will a fantastic piece. At the moment i would go for a Sinn 556 with its highly regulated Sellita and beautiful design.
I think when the watch was first launched and before the price hike, it was very good value for money. But the same cannot be said anymore ... I have yet to experience the Sinn and would love to try it out one day!
The Explorer and OP are icons but for the price, it’s hard to beat the BB36. Especially used you can get one under $2k. I’d rather do that and spend the extra money on a Moonwatch.
I agree, the BB36 offers great bang for buck! How about save the Moonwatch money and get a MoonSWATCH instead? 😆
If they released an all gold BB36 I would buy it so fast. Not an advisable move for the brand but personally I’d spend some stupid money to get one. Love the dial.
Woo, never thought someone would make this comment. You next 'best' alternative is the Gold BB58, but it does not come with a gold bracelet though 🤔
Thanks KC. Looking at this one just as you upload. Still thinking to wait for the 36 explorer.
True, I still prefer the Explorer, but the BB36 is still a very good watch!
Thank you for this perfectly explanatory video of the bb36. I chose this watch and I’m waiting for the model with the blue dial to arrive, which by many people is less beautiful than the black one. What do you think? I could only try the new 36 model on my wrist which, however, didn’t excite me that much even though it seems more exclusive. Personally, I prefer simpler and less flashy watches. Marco
Hi Marco, I think both the black and the blue are beautiful. The black dial is more versatile whilst the blue dial is more playful, so it depends on what vibe you are going for. For me personally, I have quite a lot of black dial 'serious' watches already so would pick the blue dial for my collection 😏
Tudor ranger is on my radar . I love it.
It is a solid piece 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Ranger is ugly compared to the 36 blue . I have the 36 and have tried the explorer 36, the BB has a lot more character but worse bracelet
I must admit I'm not a fan of the Ranger either, I also prefer the BB36 over the Ranger but the Ranger is still objectively 'better' than the BB36 purely from specs perspective. I think I'll own the BB36 again one day, perhaps the updated version ...
Right way to go with the longer video format. You’ll get more watch time.
Thanks SC. Still not sure how watch time is important though...?
@@KCTimeShare I heard it from the You Tube Team. They say watch time and click through rate are important: ruclips.net/video/ubFTkoJkNX4/видео.html
Got it, thanks for the tips!
I just wish they would skim the hour hand down a bit
That’s a very fair point! I like the hour hand as is but wouldn’t mind if it go on a small diet 😝
Saw this watch in person. It’s meh. Get Seiko “dresskx” and Tudor black bay 58.
Seiko DressKX + BB58 is a very good combo! But I would still prefer the BB36 over the DressKX because the Tudor is thinner. Cheers!
but the ranger looks ugly
The Ranger is also not my cup of tea but some people like it 🙃
Wow 36mm look huge on you! 😮
I don’t disagree 😝 But it looks okay in person though, camera/video tends to make the watch looks a bit bigger than in real life
Too small and the new improved in house movement version should be out soon.
No silly ‘Smiley Face’ 🎉
I would love to see the updated version, hopefully next year!
This watch is designed wrong imo, it has a divers dial and case and a polished bezel. I personally dislike the snowflake hands, I owned a bb58 and don't think I would buy a Tudor again, I feel like the brand doesn't carry any prestige.
These are all good points! What brand do you think you will go for next?
@@KCTimeShare i think I'm going to stick with iwc, simple and classy.
it's jus a BB reduced without a bezel. didn't seiko do that first?
@@edrader not sure, but it does not look right to me
Buy the explorer instead. You will feel like an imposter wearing the bb36…
They look similar indeed but each still have their own charm I think!
why you keep saying black bay 56?
Did I? 🫣
not into unisex watches
What do you considered as non-unisex watches?
@@KCTimeShare well i just bought the 39mm ranger.
@@edrader Big congrats! Enjoy it in good health!
@@KCTimeShare she calls the 37mm nomos "the perfect unisex watch" she and her husband wear it. ruclips.net/video/Rxils0KbI4Q/видео.html
@@edrader Nomos have pretty long L2L, sadly they don't usually work on my small wrist size 🥹
nah pelagos 39 is way better
The P39 is very nice indeed!
When was this £2420? It's £3360 in 2024, jfc, did they really raise the price by £1000 for the this basic ass watch?
Price increase? Yes! But these are two different watches as the one currently in production has an updated bracelet, clasp, movement etc, so a price increase is expected.
