Confirmation from a former employee, the lululemon outlet clothes are the SAME as from the store, I literally remember boxing up our WMTM to send to our local outlet every week.
SOME stuff is. I worked for Liz Claiborne for a while. I KNOW, for a fact, they make a different version of merchandise for the outlets. ANd yes, there is a small amount of "real" stuff.
Agreed. Lululemon employee here, we box up the items that we have excess of monthly to send to outlet stores.
The clothes I bought from the outlet stores I see in the normal stores and online for the same price
@@p3nnyl4ne12 meeeeeee
I bought some icing blue leggings and they were so weird feeling, not sure if it was the location or what!
Those Nike leggings are two separate styles. The swoosh ones are in the “sportswear” section and the plain solid black ones are a “training” style so they’ll obviously feel different because they’re made for different activities.
The lululemon outlet stores is in fact the “we made too much” section. It’s where I buy all my lululemon!
It’s amazing!!
HopeScope I know on tuesdays and Thursdays they update the online “we made to much” section and add in new pieces, and in store it just varies, the outlet by me I know they get shipments in on Thursdays ☺️
@@hopescope I work at a lululemon outlet! At my store we get shipments every day of the week, and when we get store to store consolidations, sometimes we will get items that are still in retail that aren't selling at the store that sent them (and because we are a clearance store we still mark it down even if its full price online)! I get stoked when we get a warehouse shipment full of older items though, since its always exciting to see what they randomly have found a box of in the warehouse (last summer they sent shipment of seawheeze gear from years past and it was the most exciting thing)
I think it is but all of it is there for a reason and I just don’t like anything there ever
@@hopescope depends on which location, but I work at the Houston outlet and we get shipment in 5 days a week, but do not know what exactly is in those shipments before we get them. Some are straight from retail, still being sold in retail stores, but marked down for our location, and then the rest are all from the we made too much section.
I'm an employee at a full price Lululemon store and we actively send our "we made too much" product to the outlets!!
Hey! 10 months late but I wanted to fill in my two cents. I also work with a full price (Tier 3 specifically) store. We send shit that either doesn’t sell well or too much to outlet locations (Tier 7) sometimes-the warehouses that these clothes come from are sent to outlets specifically-a lot of these clothes are fucked up-by a lot. And they don’t care because it’s 40 percent off of the reduced tag. So literally anyone will get them. That’s why the quality is inconsistent. They don’t care.
@@t-tap9109 lulu doesn’t sent any damaged product to outlets. I’ve since transferred to an outlet and we receive consolidation boxes from other stores as well as product from the distribution center; essentially we get whatever is left over.
Lululemon outlets are the most legit outlet out there. It's basically a huge store of their sale rack from their original stores. I drove 3 hours to the closest one and was thrilled with the selection- i even got a pair of canada only All The Right Places II legging- and the staff being super helpful.
I cant with Tyler singularizing Adidas into Adida, when asking about one specific item. Dead. Hes my fav.
As someone who works outlet retail, never pay full price at the retail store unless you absolutely love it. More than likely it’ll end up at outlet clearance for 75% off.
I work at a lulu lemon outlet, and everything we receive is real product from retail stores that couldn't sell it at the full price.
I love how Tyler went straight for it and got those answer 👏🏼 I love the video I can’t wait to see more
I feel like it’s an unspoken fact of the outlets that the quality isn’t the same but....should I keep giving them my coins? That’s the real question. 😂
Makeupbyjayyyy_ yessss 😂 we love outlets anyway
Yup... it still gets the job done, and done WELL, but at a better price.
I think that as long as you are aware that some items aren’t the same quality as the retail pieces and that you can find some retail pieces, then yes! However, I apply the same logic to outlet shopping as I do when shopping anywhere else. BE AWARE OF WHAT IT IS YOU ARE BUYING!! Don’t bother with thinking about the original price of the item, look at what you will be actually paying for the item. And ask yourself IS THIS WORTH IT? Don’t ask yourself is this a good deal? Because that’s how they want you to think and that’s how you’ll end up paying about the same for a lesser quality item. Focus on IS IT WORTH THE CURRENT PRICE?
If you think that way, I think you can give them as much of your coin as you’d like!
Except lulu of course 😂
Makeupbyjayyyy_ outlet worker here* RETAIL STORES SEND US THEIR PRODUCT THEY COULDNT SELL. And that’s on lululemon.
I work at The North Face Outlet in Ontario, we receive items straight from our full price stores across Canada when they switch seasons. we have items called RTO that mean we purchased extra to sell directly to the outlet so we always have them. They are the same quality as “full price” items. We want people to be able to get quality for cheaper if needed! Soooo wait for the expensive items to come to the outlet to get it at a discount!
I might be the only person who didn’t know about this😅😅
Your not alone 😂
Just want to point out that the production costs of an "expensive" item versus a "cheap" one are really not all that different unless you're talking something mass-produced in Vietnam versus hand-made by artisans in the US. There might be marginal differences, but think cents/couple of dollars in production for the company compared to the 2x-10x more the customer pays overall.
NKBJ THANK YOU 👏🏻👏🏻
Yes! It’s more of capturing all segments of market without making your brand less premium
I never knew there was a difference honestly! I just thought it was stuff that didn’t sell well or like “last season”. 🤷🏼♀️ I go shopping at the adidas outlet in Wisconsin like twice a year 😂🙈 oooops!
the Orlando Florida outlet mall has the worst options, the Victoria secret store is basically filled with the worst and cheap designs that make it feel like a knock off
Which outlet mall in Orlando?
@@Whitneypyant pretty sure its the Vineland premium outlets
Ummm Hope.. I don’t wanna be that person who points out things, but when you announced the winners of your giveaway, there’s nothing there 😂 love you ❤️
I was Down in the comments to see if someone already pointed it out Lolol
HopeScope it’s @schudel_21 🤗
Never clicked so fast in my life! I always find it amazing to see people‘s reactions when they realise that most outlets and outlet items are basically made to rip you off 🙃 outlets in general are still so fascinating to me because they are slowly starting to creep up where I live
Tyler creepily walking in the video at minute 10:27 made me laugh so hard. You could tell that he was having fun trolling on your recording.
Yes lol
I think that it makes sense from a business perspective however I think they should be more transparent about what you are buying.
I’m so glad I’m early for this video! I love your new set up. 😍
I am HERE for these kinds of videos lol. Always great to save money but obviously you want the best quality you can get too. Great information to have! 💙 all your videos, hope the new place is coming together quick for y'all and that you're loving it!
“I was mostly worried about certain clothes.. haha.. leggings” 😂😂😂
I love how inspired you are to make new videos again! Makes me so happy 😁
Look at that legging wall coming together so nicely!!
I love the outlets, unfortunately there's none near me 😭 I do hop on lululemon's website every thursday tho for the new sale items drop lmao
Since tyler has come onboard there has been so many more videos and I'm loving it! 😍
LOVE all these uploads!! And love you hope :)
I love the Lulu outlet we have here in the UK. On occasions, they even have current stock items reduced in the outlet. I’d also been eyeing up the frosted mulberry ready to rulu pants this winter but they sold out online. Just picked up in the outlet for £39 😱 Only one there and it was my size - fate! 🤣
I’m so excited to watch once I get out of school ❤️
Love the video. I actually never really thought about this until now. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout!
Haven’t even started the video yet so excited!!!! Love your videos :)
Love the video! It was very informative! You should definitely do more videos like this.
I used to work at Dick’s and I was told by my coworkers that the red boxes were lifestyle
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS! I always wonder if the quality is even remotely the same...but ya know, the prices always get me! lmao
Keep all these videos coming!😍😍❤️
Very fun to watch your videos, your enthusiasm is wonderful!
k but I LOVE Tyler's straight to the point approach! That was so entertaining.
I can't get enough of your dog🥺he is just so sweet and handsome. I love how he wants you to hold him in your lap✨💞good serotonin boost
Can’t stop watching your channel!!! Addicted 🛍🛒🤑😳🤣🙄literally all your reviews feel like insane shopping adventures & hilarious critiques with my bestie (just showed her your channel) Freaking awesome!!!
This is how I know that I grew up in a low income community because I never knew that outlet stores weren’t the actual quality that they provide in their original retail
And the ones that WERE from the actual Non outlet store are the items in the back with multiple stickers on the tags
I am SO glad you did this video. I noticed this years ago when coach bas were a big deal and an associate at the regular store confirmed it
YES needed this video. I love your ideas and creativity always 💜
thank you so much for doing this!! i can see how one could sour on a high-end company's gear when their first experience is buying from an outlet store if they didn't know that outlet gear can be a lot different from regular retail gear.
I love the direction that you’re going with your channel now!! This was so interesting to watch and I’m excited to see similar content in the future
Awe Leo looked so sleepy at the end there 😂 he's like "mom, you woke me up for this?"
Thank you for this video! I visited a Lululemon outlet in AZ and bought several items. Glad to see that it is the same qualty.
Last time I went to the Nike outlet, a guy had given me a friends and family pass at the local gym the day before so I got 3 tops, some fly knits, and 6 pairs of socks for $120! So glad we decided to go to the gym that day 😊
I worked in a regular retail store that we actually switched to an outlet store and we received previous years “best sellers” made at a lower cost. They would have less glitter, less detail, and different fabrics just to make the cost of production less so we could sell for less.
I didn't even know there was such a sportswear queen on RUclips, where have you been all my life
I’m early for once! This is gonna be lit 🔥
Love the fact that you show good stuff 🙏👏😊
I don’t think you did enough research. Yes they have some lower quality stuff but it seems you were pointing out to stuff that made you “feel” it’s lower quality while both of those leggings are for different workouts.
Love this video so interesting to see! Where is your shirt/jacket from its gorgeous!!
Those 2019 ultra boosts are SO comfy!! Way more so than the 2018’s . Love the video (as usual)!
Omg omg you have 1 mil subscribes 😊😊🥳🥳🥳 congrats 🥳
As a former retail worker who mostly worked in an outlet, it depends on the brand!! Some brands have “made for outlet” items, others have last seasons clothes discounted, and some have both!
Hi Hope! I love your motivation and all the videos you share with the public and all your subscribers. In the past week I seen several of your videos and I have learned so much about this type of business. I look forward to see more of your videos. Thank you! LauraC
This is so funny. I absolutely knew this, but never ever thought about it because the bargains are so blinding!
Glad Lulu is safe though because I legit travel hours to get there haha
This. Is. The. Best. Video. Ever. Thank you for doing this! I KNEW all of this had to have been this way!!!!!
When she did the “we are not the same” that had been going in my head the entire time😂 I have never related more
HOPE! I have that EXACT Buffbunny jacket! It was made for the long torso!
It’s so cute!
I work at a finishline inside my mall and I can confirm what the employee told you depending if the shoe is a life style, training or running/walking shoe the nike boxes do change between red and orange
Love your videos so much 🙌🏻
10:25 omg tyler😂 look at the doorway
Oh yeah and last time I was this early she had dark brown hair...😆💕
No problem♥️😋
Lol. I caught walking by also. Lol. He needs to do some more sock reviews. Lol.
In Nike it’s the same with the leggings - they have lifestyle and training leggings. The more basic legging are sold in Ireland in ‘sports shops’ which are actually just athleisure shop
Tyler at 10.26 🤣 really cool concept for a video! 😊
Honestly tho people pay for the logo not the legging
It doesn’t really matter to most people if the quality is better at not because they just want the lululemon logo
Katell Emily I had a pair of leggings from a thrift store and they lasted me 4 years before I looked it up and was gutted by their real price as they were lulu lemon. I now save up and have a few of their most durable material because they truly do last and feel awesome! Also have some super cheap ones I love too! Worth trying different brands at different prices.
Katell Emily I pay for the bag-
I never bought into the hype of $100 leggings until people told me I’d save more than my $20 leggings that get holes in them every 3 months. It’s only been two years and the only issue I had was not because of the legging but because my puppy accidentally ripped a hole in them, I brought them back and they fixed them free of charge and I haven’t had an issue since then. I in no way bought them for the brand but they actually are amazing leggings. Not to mention all this but they’re also unbelievable comfortable.
You say this but my lululemon leggings are the best out of all my leggings and most worn. AND I have had a lot of different brands including cheap ones and So so priced ones. The new pair I got from them feels just amazing when running in them.
Kat3ll does not own a pair of lululemon leggings or you wouldn’t say this.
I knew it! 😂 Leggin Queen revealing the truth LOL
I don't wear leggings but love your channel. I know this is an older video but I've caught up on all your newer ones. Just wanted to let u know that people who don't ever wear leggings love your videos too!
Vans has a line of vans designed specifically for department stores. They’re cheaper and look slightly different. I’ve never seen them in person though :)
I have i can tell the difference iddmetially they don’t have the puff for the slip ons
@Kayla
Yup I recently saw them in person too and they do have differences ☺️
I had no idea that clothing and shoes were made specifically for the outlets!? Mind blown 🤯 I remember u did a video for a pair of leggings comparing the quality based on the store u bought them from and the quality was different I think. Good lookin out! I will keep this in mind when shopping at the outlets
Someone's been looking super professional lately😉🥂❤
I appreciate you are on tiktok. I love your and tylers videos! But I'm glad when you guys reference tiktok I know what you are talking about :D
I love how awkwardly Tyler walks across the background @10:24😂😂♥️
My life is better when you upload a video
Your cohost!!! So adorable!💗💗
I worked at Lululemon seasonally this year and can attest that we did carry all of the things you purchased at the outlet, we just quickly clear out patterns and colors that aren't selling well and aren't core items and/or colors to make room for more new stuff, especially in the winter when it's the height of shopping season :D
This video idea is so interesting. I didn't know about this!
I had no idea! Downloaded the Drop app with your code... Just fueling my Ulta addiction 😂
Hey Hope 🧡 I don't know why, but the music at the end of the video sounds like if it was Tyler singing 😂 seems like his voice 😂 Am I crazy?!
I’m i the only one that didn’t know there was a differences 😳 shook!! And this is why hopescope is a must to watch
Libra gurl and shopper too🥰 We would have a blast...I used to develop retail business and love your channel...you guys are awesome 🥰😎❤️
Love your videos 🥰🥰
So as a former retail employee, I can tell you most of the items you find in outlets are items that don't sell in regular retail stores (Footlocker, Sportchek etc.) & the brands recall the items, so they can send the stores new stuff.
Those recalls are also sometimes sold to places like T.J.Maxx and Ross.
❤ I REALLY love your white & real jacket...VERY flattering!
Yay a new video! Is anyone having issues with the audio? It sounds fuzzy
Sounds fine to me
All this Content lately!! Yaaass😍😍😍
Im in Vegas and I didn't even know we had a Lulu outlet! Cant wait to check it out!
The same goes for the clothes you get at kohl's. It's "outlet" Nike, adidas, Under Armor, etc...
I don't shop at Kohls much but maybe the reason I've never been impressed with Nike and such brands is that I happen to be trying on their "cheaper" line. I think I have tried them on at sporting goods stores though. I'm trying on sale stuff, so I guess the good stuff is still high priced.
Love this style of video!
Literally loveee you!!!!
My boyfriend was a HUGE sneaker head and he told me that a lot of the outlet sneakers are “throw always” from regular stores and also made for them specifically and he was told this when he was looking for a specific pair of sneakers and decided to check the outlets as well and an employee spilled all the tea 😂
I downloaded the app using your link and your code just for reassurance! 💕
They also sell Nike shoes at stores like Kohl's, Jcpenny. Sometimes I feel like those styles were made more affordable and styles that are simple. Those styles could make it to outlet
10:24 Look who's being Mr. "Sneaky Sneaky" behind you . . . 😆🤣😂😹😆🤣😂
This is interesting! It definitely must vary by store. I worked at the Zumiez outlet in Nashville in high school, and there was no difference in the products we received from what was sent to regular stores and nothing was made specifically for our outlet. We typically got a larger variety and fewer sizes of each thing. So basically leftover inventory that wasn't selling in the regular stores or wasn't targeted for that locations demographic. So we never knew what was in the boxes of inventory we would receive.
Now THIS is the insight I never knew I needed, wow
10.26 Tyler sneaking around reflected in the mirror.. GOTCHA!
It has come to my attention that I have never shopped anywhere besides an outlet store... lets just say my state doesn’t have many places to shop for clothes
You’re amazing! Thanks for this video. I’m the girl who was inspired by you to do 75 Hard on Instagram. Love you!
