Dinosaur here... back in the day we used to share earbuds all the time. It's what you have to do when only one friend on the school bus has an MP3 player. 😂
I was a victim and they let me get my items they took once the case was over. Some things were random and junk like aluminum cans, ashtrays, wrappers, cigarette butts etc things that could have fingerprints or DNA on them. Also my jewelry, wallet, clothing, comforter and sheets, computer and mouse and keyboard, chair, etc. I was so glad to get some of that stuff back even tho the memories of being victimized will always be part of them now. At least the better memories like my mother's rings she gave me were worth it. I'm glad they didn't send my stuff off to be auctioned! I would've been devestated!

Very random comment, but I “hope” that Hope sees this 👀 the smell of old coins can sometimes be an indicator of meth having been present. A friend of mine and her husband used their savings and bought their dream home. Unfortunately, their children and the family dog started getting very ill. They complained about the smell of “old pennies” and later found out meth was previously cooked in the home- everything was contaminated. Despite repainting and tearing out carpet, there was no saving the property and they lost almost everything. If you smell something you bought that was previously evidence, with a “old penny smell” don’t risk it!

Hi! Little tip by someone that worked retail and ruined a few books by not doing this: when opening boxes with a knife, it's better to the the sides first, then put your finger in the box, slightly lift the "lid" and then do the top. That way you won't cut into what is right underneath the flaps if the person that sent it over didn't package it properly :)
OMG thank you! Everytime I watch someone open a box with a box cutter or knife I'm afraid they're going to slice right through the items! Great tip!! ❤️👍
I actually never really wondered because I work for the federal government, and the things that are voluntarily abandoned with us tend to go for auction. People are told things are disposed of or distracted, but it’s actually packed into large groups of things and put up for auction. I’ve only share that information with one person because the item that they were leaving behind was important to them so I told them how they could potentially get it back at some point.
I knew other things were like vehicles etc but didn't realize evidence bags or items do... I mean, if they're doing cars I guess it makes sense. I just thought everything was destroyed. Interesting to learn, and I'm glad you could tell that person about it so hopefully they got it back

I’m pretty sure they don’t try to “reunite” anything with anyone. I got in trouble for a drug problem i had years ago and when I was arrested they took all my jewelry at the jail. It went into a bag, and when I got out they said they didn’t have anything under my name. Sooo I never got my stuff back, one thing being a bracelet my grandmother (who passed) got me.
Can't speak for the jails, but the sheriff's office and police departments will try to reunite the owner with the items. Some items we will send letters if we know who it belongs to, some will post ads if we don't know the owners or cannot locate them. Either way, the owner has usually 30-60 days to retrieve their items once a case is finished
😮 yeah I think this video is actually really fucked up I think it's bullshit if they are able to sell people's property there should be better records kept how are you feeling somebody's property but can't find the owner

Once my personal items were stolen from my desk at work (at a large hospital) by a drug ring that targeted healthcare facilities. They were caught with a stolen car (not mine) a state away. I eventually got all of my stuff back a year later after the case against them was done. I had to describe, in detail, all of my stuff that was stolen and it was mailed back to me. It was a frustrating process.
Yeah I was thinking about this. Unfortunately it is often very difficult to recover items. My friend tried to get some belongings after a relative passed and they would have had to fly to the state and somehow prove the items belonged to them
I hear that. A relative of mine recently had a camera and some lenses stolen from his car, stuff that is kind of crucial to his livelihood and we had to get the serial number of all those things stolen. Not much we can do about the specialised bag they were stolen in unfortunately. He hadn’t written down the serial number of the things that were stolen when he got them so it was a pain to find them again (I ended up finding the serial numbers through picture info using photos we had taken with the camera and lenses. Without that information, we wouldn’t have even been able to REPORT the theft to the police.
Wow in Ohio, eviction items are set outside, you would not believe the amount of people that will drive around to search through eviction stuff sitting on a curb. It's gotta be super embarrassing for the families that get evicted.😣
There's no excuse for things to not be returned to the family whenever possible. I hate the government for not having better policies to protect people's belongings while they're already in such a desperate state.
My Husband died unexpectedly in his sleep and the police confiscated his phone. I called and went and tried for years to get it back only to be brushed aside and ignored. All my valuable pass codes were stored on there. Needless to say I lost hundreds of thousands of my only life savings in my husband's stocks because I couldn't get into the account in time to stop transactions. But most importantly All our family photos and videos. So heartbroken
So sorry for your loss. This seems very unfair, I can’t believe you couldn’t get his phone back?…I guess i never really thought about it I thought they just give stuff back once they are done
Oh my gosh I am SO sorry Rhonda… that is not right. Like that legitimately seems like reason to go after them legally. I haven’t seen any phones on this website, so I would like to think that’s not something they auction off and they still have it.
That is just awful! I'm so very sorry! For the loss of your husband first and foremost but because of the loss of your life savings as well! Have you tried to get legal advice on this?
Christmas shopping on the evidence site...what a great conversation starter! Instead of the typical white elephant gift exchange (aka regifting exchange lol) have everyone in the exchange find the most random item from a very unique site! 😂💜

I'm not over how selling counterfeits is illegal (as it should!), but the police can choose to auction off counterfeits once it's not deemed evidence anymore 😭
Now I know what happened to my kitchen knives that my roommate stole years ago when I was in off-campus student housing. He ended up getting assaulted by some other people he stole from, accused me of setting the whole thing up, and chased me down to the rental office wielding my own knives. Police never told me when/how I could get them back.
This youtube channel is interesting. The content is very good. Although I have been shared to buy anything for myself, especially the confiscated things. And also terrified of getting scammed. But i admire your wonderful personality. So keep up the good work and stay safe and sound.
I literally have a fake prada bag, and it’s my pride and joy. This gal can’t ever afford one of the real ones, and my little bag is a cutie. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with designer dupes as long as you aren’t trying to act like they are real. Love a bargain!
I love how you're putting an extra 'n' in confiscated 😁. This is so good to know! I learn so much from your channel! I even learned that a UK influencer I follow follows you too and found that the UK has a lost plane luggage sale too! I do know the UK have police auctions but mainly for cars, not sure about items like bags and stuff
1:58 FALSE! The sad part about this is in the vast majority of situations, the victims (yes, the people that had their property seized) are never told about their property being destroyed or sold before it happens. Very few places in the US are required to tell victims about their property being available to be returned. I used to know someone that had his car, boat, and over $30,000 in other property seized because cops said "It may have been used in a crime in the past, or might be used in a crime in the future." Over 3 years they held it, never even accusing him of a crime. Then, without notice or anything, the police sold it. Its called Civil Forfeiture in the above case, and sadly there is no legal way to prevent police from abusing the system in many places. This is not a one off situation. Look online for yourself. This is something you could enact real help for victims with your 2.28M subscribers.
This was super interesting! I knew somebody that would go to police auctions in person to buy cars. I think they had to be an officer (or maybe have a govt ID?) in order to attend; it wasn't open to the public. It's amazing how good many of the fakes are, with a lot of them you can't even tell!
Only Hope would come up with the idea of taking us on a shopping spree of crime evidence 🤣 A++ for creativeness! (My family was/is law enforcement and it never even crossed my mind to go down this path for potential shopping)
I definitely would not say the police “always try their best to reunite the items with their owners”…My exs mom‘s house got robbed and so did my grandmothers, unfortunately by the same person that was a friend of ours at the time, but that’s a whole other story, both people involved in this incident essentially had to adamantly beg to get there stolen belongings back , even though the case was wrapped up pretty quickly They had to make dozens of phone calls as well as sent dozens of emails to even get their attention, then went through a whole Nother month long process to actually retrieve their items. This same ex Also got raided by the police with thousands of dollars on him, a good chunk of this money was not illegal, and there was proof of this, nonetheless he never got a single dollar of it back. There is often very little victims or criminals can do to seek retribution if they don’t get their belongings or money back, And police notice, so they often make it difficult, or even impossible for people to get their stuff back, sometimes because it’s just less work for them, sometimes for more funding for there department that’s generated through these auctions, and sometimes to personally pocket cash directly…
Worked handling prisoner's belongings years ago. Forms are filled out and attached so we can get them back to the right people but occasionally, people move, get a new name, pass away or don't want to claim them for whatever reason.
I’m so sad. When I was drugged snd R worded in highschool, the cops took away my FAVORITE jacket as evidence and I haven’t been able to find another of since. They told me I’d get my belongings back after the case but not only did they lie about that, but they fumbled the entire thing and my abuser is still out there. Now I know that my stuff was either thrown away or freaking sold to random people and it makes me really angry!
Hey girl ilysm but do you think this video might be a little naive and maybe even insensitive? Even the officers you interviewed admitted that when people are arrested (not CONVICTED just arrested) they often do not get their valuable items back. I don’t think anyone forgot them. There are also evictions, vehicle impoundments etc… google civil forfeiture. A lot of what you bought here is probably from what amounts to essentially legal theft. It’s not a very nice thing to be so gleeful about. I’m sure you didn’t know, but I do think it’s fair to expect you to learn. ❤ still support you and wish you all the best.
Ooooff the passive aggressive entitlement in your comment is utterly unacceptable. Your type needs to learn that it’s not your job nor anyone’s to “correct” someone just because it may hurt your feelings - or may not go along with your opinions.

can we just appreciate how this gurl is a literal ray of sunshine. i absolutly love ur videos. ☀🌻💛
Wow in Ohio, eviction items are set outside, you would not believe the amount of people that will drive around to search through eviction stuff sitting on a curb. It's gotta be super embarrassing for the families that get evicted.😣
That's what happens in Louisiana as well. It's really sad
There's no excuse for things to not be returned to the family whenever possible. I hate the government for not having better policies to protect people's belongings while they're already in such a desperate state.
I dont know how i got this invested in all your videos! Hahaha watching almost all your videosss
With my mom in the ICU for sepsis, I've been very worried about her. Your videos make me smile and laugh. I love you, Hope. Never ever change.
I hope your mom recovers!
prayers for you!
Funny how familair you people sounds here it isn't your fault people don't need to feeling guilty for her
Christmas shopping on the evidence site...what a great conversation starter! Instead of the typical white elephant gift exchange (aka regifting exchange lol) have everyone in the exchange find the most random item from a very unique site! 😂💜
Get the 43 pallets for someone
Then for a game you can play "Guess the crime this was involved in" lol! Actually sounds kind of fun really. 😂
@@faeriefire78 Yes! Would be a great ice breaker and very interesting conversations! Prizes could be given for the best scenarios lol.
@@faeriefire78That’s a bit insensitive bro
psa - the 🐷s definitely do NOT try their best to reunite you with your items after arrest lol.
was thinking the same thing lol
Lucas Cruikshank has me obsessed with these videos lmao
Can we appreciate the fact that how hope manages to entertain us by just posting a ten minute video. We love you hope ❤❤❤
I love your reaction to finding out the bag was real 😂 I absolutely would have thought someone was pranking me with the email too! It's great that you scored a real one especially after the saddle bag let down xxx
I luv how Hope always finds the most interesting video ideas I’m constantly entertained!!!!💕
Whyyyyyyy am I so addicted to watching your content?? 😂😂 you are so crazy, kind, funny and full of beautiful energy!!!
Ok so maybe that’s why I’m addicted to watching you lol ….
Keep doing wonderful work - the donations you make and kindness you spread is so wonderful to watch!
My face when the Chanel bag emerged 😲😍
😂😂💕💕
I just recently started following Hope. I LoVe her! She’s so funny and realistic about what she’s getting, where she’s getting it from and most importantly, her honest opinion! I also like seeing the places she gets things from. 🤩
I just really like how lively her reactions are. When she's opening a package and looks inside she often goes like wooow, it's so cute
I have had a good feeling ever since I came across your channel! Your vibe is so energizing and you make the bad days bearable. I started binge watching your entire channel! I’m honored to be part of the Hopefuls!
I'm not over how selling counterfeits is illegal (as it should!), but the police can choose to auction off counterfeits once it's not deemed evidence anymore 😭
It’s so weird because knock offs aren’t illegal, but counterfeit materials are. And that’s a T H I N line
I needed that laugh from the off-whtie strap, thank you for making my night 😂🤣😂. Love ur videos!
Love your doggie too, so cute👍🏻🐶
Just found your channel and have binged every video. Love it!! Keep being you!!! 🫶🏻
I swear you always find the weirdest things to buy and I love it so much!!!!
“No one knows about this website” til now Hope!! Haha 😂😂 I love how you bring us these new sites to try and shop from 💕
Congratulations on 3 million🎉
Oooh everytime you show us new websites to thrift and buy 😂
Now I know what happened to my kitchen knives that my roommate stole years ago when I was in off-campus student housing. He ended up getting assaulted by some other people he stole from, accused me of setting the whole thing up, and chased me down to the rental office wielding my own knives. Police never told me when/how I could get them back.
Such a creative idea for a video! i love how out of the box it was. it's crazy to think that they're selling this stuff 😆 loved your video! ❤
been watching Hope for over 3 years and her videos have never gotten old :)
The pink gloves 🧤 in every video is like a statement piece of hope 😂😂😂😂
This youtube channel is interesting. The content is very good. Although I have been shared to buy anything for myself, especially the confiscated things. And also terrified of getting scammed. But i admire your wonderful personality. So keep up the good work and stay safe and sound.
I literally have a fake prada bag, and it’s my pride and joy. This gal can’t ever afford one of the real ones, and my little bag is a cutie. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with designer dupes as long as you aren’t trying to act like they are real. Love a bargain!
If I had serious money problems, I'd buy this stuff and try to resell it 🤔
If you had serious money problems you wouldn’t be able to afford to buy this stuff to resell it. Because I sure don’t.
I’ve been wanting this vid for a lot of time and I never though my favorite RUclipsr would do it you’re literally the best you tuber and Perfect
I spent 6 hours watching your videos 😅 I really love them
I would seriously just buy one of those lost and found things just for the stuffies
What an cool video idea. Who knew this site existed!
Just found this channel and I’m in LOVE!!!!❤️
Confinscated !!! I love it please don’t change 😂❤
The way Hope says 'confiscated' - 'confinscated' 🤣 it's very quiet though, I might just be excited and imagining it 😂
Only Hope would come up with the idea of taking us on a shopping spree of crime evidence 🤣
A++ for creativeness!
(My family was/is law enforcement and it never even crossed my mind to go down this path for potential shopping)
Yassssss on the LV my sweet cheeks. Okay I’m a subscriber now. Watching your other videos now love it I’m now a Hopeful ♥️♥️♥️
i want that coach bag, mainly bc its from evidence LOL THAT WOULD BE SOOOO COOL
Next video: i brought murderers for cheap
😂 feels illegal to be this early
HAHAHAAHA HOPE I died laughing at the “off whtie” 😂😂😂
The Off WHTIE SENT MEEEE 🤣💀💀🤣
This was so fun!!! And the channel bag I need now!!!
You’re amazing! I cant stop myself to complete ur whole videos!! And i just started
Not you wearing the kim k gloves lol i legit binge watched your channel while working today
My 12 year old daughter has been begging for air pods and an apple pen for Christmas!! Maybe I should look there!
why are they selling crime scene evidence tho 😶🤐🤔 but your vids are great HopeScope they are really funny
quite interesting :) gonna look up if there are similar auctions in germany :)
the channel bag is absolutely beautiful, hope u reach 3 mill soon hope❤️good luck to everyone❤️❤️
That channel is gorg 🥰🥰🥰 and I’m shook that the Louis is real! You def made You’re money back with the stuff!
Girl u hit jack pot with Apple products and other stuff nice
@@cwalt6558 "Opinions"...? It's a fact that most people don't get their items back, and that police don't always try to. They're correcting misinformation, and the only comment here that reeks of "passive aggressive entitlement" is yours. Have a good one and always try to learn.
@@lexiarie6545 the only time that happens is if you are guilty of a crime.. so no, again that’s your own opinion and my opinion is coming from someone who works with these types of cases. So maybe take your own passive aggressive advise & learn from someone more educated on the matter. And touch grass
This video idea is so unique!! I’ve never seen anyone do this before! Super cool
A video I didn’t even know I needed 🤣 lovvveeee your content
the chanel bag😍😍😍omg i’m in loovveee
That black bag, I got so excited, didn't know you bought it.☺
