Like choosing the right material /material combination, the thickness and cut depending on if you would be working out, taking a walk/hike, being outside when it's really hot or cold or just in your shoes all day like at work or something. The material and the cut really matters. I personally would love to see picks for what's best to minimize sweat when you would be wearing the shoes and socks for 7+ hours.

The shorts that you reviewed though arent really gym bottoms for lifting and stuff. I super recommend them for stuff like soccer and field hockey. The extra space between the crotch area and the waste are comfortable for the extended movements you would normally be doing.
