In this video, Dark Autumn, True Autumn, and Soft Autumn are part of a broader color analysis system that categorizes individuals based on their natural coloring. This system considers skin tone, hair color, and eye color to determine which colors best complement an individual's natural appearance.
Celebrities that I analyze are Leighton Meester who was previously typed as a Dark Autumn; Diane Lane who was previously typed as a True Autumn;
Natascha McElhone was previously typed as a Soft Autumn; and Jennifer Stone as a True Autumn.

Actually I found this video really helpful in determining that I am not an Autumn type but rather a Spring type. I do not suit the muted colours of Dark Autumn, cannot wear mustard yellow, and don't suit the soft muted colours of Soft Autumn. I definitely lean warm: gold lights me up and silver looks dull on me. That leaves some form of Spring. I think I sit somewhere between Bright and True Spring, as my best fit.

Thank you for your video. I am still a little confused as to which season I am, but I have come to terms with the idea that maybe it is not an easy and quick find. I look better with gold jewelry over silver so I think I am warm toned. However, I am olive undertone and dark medium skin over all and finding foundation neutral works better than warm. With my dark natural black brown hair and eyes, I would think dark autumn. But my skin gets dull and the darkness around my eyes become noticeable when I wear some of the dark autumn palette colors like dark greens and burgundy near my face. Muted color tops look better. So I tend to stick to ivory, cream, tops if I wear dark skirts because it seems I still need contrast. I look dead if I wear gray. So olive and army greens have been my go to. Bright colors are to too bright and dark colors seem too dark except for certain browns.
Seems like you could lean rather to soft autumn. What is your question ? ❤️
@FilosoFashion thank you. I wondered about that. I guess what threw me off is how dark my hair and eyes are and how much contrast it makes with my skin, and so I thought dark autumn. However, dark colors are too dark at times, bringing out dark circles and dulling my skin. I guess I was wondering if one who had hair and eyes as dark as I do, and darkness was too much, could be soft or muted even though most would not include dark brown black hair and eyes in the signs of soft autumn. Is it because of my skin tone (medium olive slightly toward dark, I am Latina)? Could it really affect more than I thought and maybe somewhat mutes me overall even with the hair?
In an other video, you mentioned that maybe essences could play a part. Though I have dark features (hair and eyes) I am a soft classic with a bit of ingenue essence. Could that play a part in why dark colors overpower me at times? Thank you for your help.

I think I am dark autumn, but a dark blue made me look bad, some dark colors add a dark shade on my face.
soo idk about your case since I’m not a professional, but in mine I was first typed as a Dark Autumn (dark brown hair and eyes, neutral warm skin), but similarly to you black makes my face horrible, it’s my worst color, and deepest shades wear me. Redid my analysis with a more experienced analyst and was draped as a Soft Autumn instead, since my skin color has a softness predominantly.
It could be your case too.
