Believe me I can use both winter and autumn as long as the colors are intense (deep) and it depends on the season of the year in summer I have a slight gold tan than disappears in winter when I look white and have more contrast 😊.
@@mistrylyra5848you can be an "in transition" type. I saw a lady who was re-analyzed now that she's gone grey. Her main characteristic is now "soft", so she can wear both SA & SSu.
I have weird complexion. I am very pale, but I have the olive undertone so my veins look very green, and I look good in either kind of gold. How I realised I am, in fact, deep winter: 1) I looked at my passport pics and the contrast between skin and hair is waaaay bigger than it is on deep autumn,my hair and evey look almost black and my skin is very light, 2) I hated burnt yellow, brown and orange tones my entire life. I decided to try them on, and make no mistake, I look as if I have a cold in them. Then I tried beiges, olive etc, same effect. 3) Because I have yellow undertone, I looked at how Asians and Indians do their makeup for inspo, and the advice I got: smokey eye with nude lipstick, deep orange or red lips. Yet in pictures, beige, orange and red lipsticks all wash me out. Unfortunatelly, I wore beige and red lipstick for my prom and my college documents and both looked terrible. Deep purple lips look so much better on me!
I have this same problems right now 😫 everyone says i look better with golden tones, but some clothes in very light shades of pink look amazing, even when they are colder shades. Also, too orange lipsticks look weird. But too cool lipstick look even worse. I don’t think grey clothes look too bad on me, but i have no one to tell me if i look better in grey or beige. I changed my septum for a golden one this week… but i feel like it washes me out. I don’t know.
Great appreciation for your thorough tutorial on the colour "seasons". You have a solid understanding of colour theory and it's application to skin temperatures, and tones. I still have difficulty with this as I am in senior years and my colouring has changed in many ways. Also, my personality does not suit pastel/baby tints. The search goes on.
I'm actually watching this for my husband, who is of Mexican descent with tan skin that goes almost caramel in summer, black hair (going salt & pepper), and dark brown eyes. I know he is one of these, but I can't decide if he is warm or cool. He of course isn't really concerned w/ the color undertones though (although he likes to dress well). 😄🤷🏼♀
Thank you for such an excellent and thorough overview of the dark autumn and winter palettes. You are extremely knowledgeable about colour analysis and I find your advice very helpful. I recently got my colour analysis done and have been classified as falling completely between the dark autumn and dark winter seasons because my skin and colouring is so neutral and I suit both colour palettes and both gold and silver jewellery. Interestingly I was born at the end of November exactly at the transition between the autumn and winter seasons!!😊❤
@@FilosoFashion you are truly knowledgeable in your field and I really enjoy your all of your content and how you link all of the colour analysis back to nature which sets you apart from other content creators in the field of colour analysis! 🙏
Thank you for making this 💖 I thought I was a deep winter… I am thinking that I lean toward deep-autumn. I favorite color to wear is black.. so I am glad I learned about using soft black.
I am so confused. I did two color analysis already. The first one said, she could not decide if i am soft summer or a soft autumn and because i do not think those palettes work well for me, i asked another online consultant who then told me I was a bright spring. But if i judge by the garments that bring the most compliments, my best colors are right between dark autumn/winter.
@@FilosoFashion Thank you very much! I would love to hear about whether people can have brown eyes and be springs (which I think they can, but no one shows such examples) 🤗

very informative, thank you! what do you think about deep autumns wearing black? I'm a deep autumn and it doesn't look that bad when I wear it with enough contrast (a scarf or an accessory in a warm color).
I still get confused of my season, although I am pretty sure I fall more into deep autumn, I am pretty high in contrast, my natural hair color being kinda dark brown but shows a golden shine when exposed to sun. Can you still be a dark autumn if you are higher in contrast?
I'm a dark winter with very light olive skin and black/brown hair and eyes. Even we share same depth with dark autumn, it looks awful on me. Only in summer when I get tan I wear golden jewelry.
Thanks for this. I’m still confused which I am. I have high contrast features, dark hair, dark eyes, light/medium skin which seems I am a deep winter. But my skin tone is neutral to warm, and my hair undertone is warm when lightened which seems I am a deep autumn. Advice?

@@FilosoFashion thanks for the reply. You are very pretty. ☺️ I am a deep autumn - also a POC and my coloring is similar to Priyanka's (medium brown skin, black-brown hair, warm undertone). Cheers!

I can totally relate. I personally believe I am a deep winter. When I tan, I can get away with a deep autumn colour palette.
