These videos are excellent! When first looking at the borders, they look so complicated, and after watching the videos, Mr Winbeckler has such a calm and low key teaching approach, it gives the viewer confidence that it is possible to master these techniques. Thank you.
I love your videos... clear instructions, gentle manner, repetitive. Nicely done. I must say on this particular video I thought I was back in grade school and practicing my loops from penmanship class! :)
We have a video on how we make our icing. If you go do our channel page, you can see all our videos and locate it there. Or type in "Buttercream Icing - Winbeckler Recipe" in the search bar.
Thanks....do you bake cakes for a living?....is it profitable using real buttercream icing as opposed to some of the manufactured icings that are sold in big tubs?...and are they just as good?
+PinkButterfly2020 I currently am a cake decorator at a bakery and we purchased premade frosting as well as we make frosting too. In all reality as long as you are using a reliable recipe for icing it is cheaper to make icing but the premade icing is usually consistent and reliable for everything
Did I just stumble upon the Bob Ross of cake decorating? This guy's the best!

Thanks for the great video! You are just awesome cake designer!
Love your videos thanks!
You can pipe it with colored piping gel onto wax paper and let it set overnight then attach it to the side.
omg this is such beautiful scroll work
Thank you for such a good explanation! Well done!
Yes, it is buttercream.
Softer buttercream works better for writing, scrolls, filigree, and borders. Firmer buttercream is required for flowers and figure piping.
is superb the way you do and explain it. very informative and usefull
Its so pretty and your so talented! Thank you for this helpful viideo
Not yet, but we might consider doing one.
magnífico trabalho!!!
Great advice, thank you.

Yes.
Thank you sooooooooo much for this vidéo! I'm gonna be à piping chef now 😊
No, this board is on a countertop. You want to practice decorating in the position you cake would be in--otherwise it's apples and oranges.
What would be your advice if this was done around the side of your cake?
Really nice. Will you share your buttercream recipe?
Love it!! Is that Royal Icing or buttercream?
would the softer buttercream work better or is the stiffer cream for roses the one to use?
thank you chef ...beautiful Brder i love it...
Be sure to read cake decorating review on my blog before you buy. Go to *carlreviews. com/cake-decorating-review/* Thanks, Paton.
Looking for a right comfortable position against a board for practicing. Is that a board hanging on the wall?
Thaaaank youuu for the good video=D
Bela explicação
Love it!! How can i make gold fondant? Can you help me please?
muito delicado, adorei
is this with the butter cream frosting recipe that you have on your page?
It's much more difficult to keep it neat on the side of a cake so it's usually not done on sides.
parabéns 👏
Fantastic
Thank you for responding, but if this pattern was on the side of the cake, it would be really awesome.
EXCELENTE
Thank you sir
Do you have a video for sell on all of your borders?
Nice
No tienen imágenes los vídeos solo tienen sonido
Can you post icing recipe please :)
thin consistency buttercream?
You just make regular buttercream thinner/softer by adding more water.
