    One super important thing to do before you setup GPS-Rescue is make sure your flight controller is detecting failsafe first you can do this on the bench with props off and arming your motors and turning off your controller if the drone disarms then its detecting failsafe correctly.
    Then once you have confirmed your getting failsafe detected correctly in your flight controller setup Gps-Rescue.
    I would then test fly around make sure your getting a useful altitude and direction to home (a broken Baro will fuck your altitude measurement)
    Then I would fly to a location you can get to easily get to a few hundred meters away and enable gps-rescue by switch. Monitor for maintaining altitude and progress towards home take over instantly if it does something crazy.
    Ultimately the only way to truly finaly test worst case scenario gps rescue is to fly far enough to loose rx signal perhaps put your system into a range test mode or lower the power.
    I would fly a route along a known path where you know where to look for your drone if it disarms itself.
    Personally I would disable sanity checks but it seams now that disabling them does not disable them but rather add extra guard time to the checks so definitely disable them if flying over body's of water.
    Oh almost forgot I set a 10meter sec return home speed this is quite slow but it is very efficient at a variety of wind conditions and remember if your drone can not maintain at least half the return to home speed it will disarm after 10 secs.
    I have been using Betaflight GPS RESCUE since 2018.

      Thanks for sharing your experience with us. The only thing I would like to add and I also mentioned in the video, I see no reason to test an actual Rx Loss instead of triggering failsafe switch which simulates it and also allows room for error. Yes, if you really want to make 1000% sure it does as expected in a real scenario go for the true failsafe, otherwise I don’t see any point of loosing signal on purpose.

    9:08 this tab is that if u lose tx signal it will be make sgate 1 and after 10sec if signal wont be back drone will be disarmed )) so max amount is 30sec and set to 30 sec )) other ways ur drone will be disarmed if tx signal wont back ...

      I am not sure this is right. It kicks in the Stage 2 after the "guard time, the 2 or 3 sec that I have set in the video". You are saying that instead of simulating the FS, if I turn off the radio, the drone will disarm after that time. I think this is incorrect.

      @@GoeFPV Yes, he is incorrect. That explanation doesn't make sense. "Period of time in stage 1" is the time in failsafe Stage 1, before moving to Stage 2
      "Failsafe throttle low delay" is a setting for how long the throttle hasn't been raised from lowest value, before disarming and skipping stage 2 failsafe. This setting can be confusing, as it doesn't involve failsafe in the air. But more concerned with when your drone is on the ground for a while, armed but hasn't taken off yet, and will disarm after 10 seconds

    Will you upgrade to the CineLR 7?

    • @GoeFPV
      @GoeFPV  17 дней назад +3

      No, I will just buy the upgrade kit for the O4. If you already have the V2 Pro, I don't think it's worth switching financially wise.

    On the first test did you notife the mbps beign eather low the 2nd test it maintained 50mbps ....inline with a better rth ?

    • @GoeFPV
      @GoeFPV  11 дней назад

      Yes, that’s true, but it happens sometimes that the O3 does not exit low power state. Personally I think it’s just a coincidence, the second test already having the GPS data downloaded as initially it was a cold start for this GPS module. Important is in the end it works 😁

    Tot respectul domnul Goe,o părere despre Helion 10, se merită să o cumpăr ?
    Mulțumesc frumos 🫡🙏

      Clar, eu nu o am, dar e o drona super buna din ce am auzit si cred ca merita. Asigura-te ca o iei cu O4 Air Unit, nu cu O3. Ar fi pacat sa faci un asemenea compromis.

    Yes but Dji have way many sensors extra than FPV drone , like proximity, barometer and many others to perform return home ,therefore the price for DJI drone , FPV drones are good for freestyle yo bando bushes 😂 thats my hobby

    • @GoeFPV
      @GoeFPV  17 дней назад +2

      True, that’s why DJI can determine more precisely the position and the trajectory. Even the Avata uses the underlying sessor for positioning, but Betaflight firmware does an impressive job relaying only on IMU, baro and GPS.

    • @GoeFPV
      @GoeFPV  17 дней назад

      We are not arguing for what FPV drones are best, and not compare them with DJI drones in terms of what’s their application, it’s very different.

      FPV drones on Betaflight are not just about freestyle. Have you not seen 7inch to 10inch drones doing mountain cruises? Long-range cruises exists
      If you're flying DJI store-bought drones, your not configuring Betaflight, GPS and failsafes anyway

    This is inappropriate drone behavior. I have a chimera 7 and I have not been able to set up an adequate return when activating gps rescue.

      What do you call inappropriate drone behavior? 🤣 It comes back home, it auto lands, it’s more than enough to use as a backup plan.

      i set it up just in case some bullshit happens where i don't get video feed, it makes sending 800+$ 7 inch far away into the sky more comfortable/less stressful

      You will remember my video when you lose your first drone, I hope you will not though.
