  • The owner of the lumber dealer gave me a Quince tree.
I decided to make a Japanese modern clock because I don't see these materials at home improvement store in Japan.
I used the typical Japanese latticework called “MasumeKoushi," which is often used in Japanese rooms, and the window design called “RenjiMado," which is often used in temples.
The first time I used quince wood, I was surprised at how hard it was.
It was hard and hard to cut.
I didn't use air tools, screws, or nails this time, but instead used wood bond and a toothpick.
This is the first time I've used Titebond.
    It's so easy to use!

This is the first time I've tried working with hard wood, and it's hard. But the quince wood is so beautiful, I love it!
