doesn't matter how good your takedowns are if you can't get in a position to use them. Excellent stuff as always.

Being striking based, I like how the principle of getting an angle on your opponent works just as well in grappling.

I agree. Wrestling, and Boxing are arts of position and timing. The angles created are universal for combat sports. Kicking, punching, throwing, and takedowns, utilize these angles. Set ups, such as shown here, combined with proper timing, are needed to enhance the likelihood of obtaining the position and angle necessary to deliver the desired techniques. The more I study combat sports the more similarities I find.

I know you don't have a good history with UWW youtube channel, but you gotta cover these legends. It seems something amazing happens everytime they square up.

GSP has a good setup for his double leg, jab to takedown; its on pg.119 in the Tao of Jeet Kune Do. He also said his secret weapon was that he's left handed and fights powerside forward, that Bruce Lee status

Called the "snap" or "snap down". Classic folk wrestling set up technique. Makes your opponent look away long enough for you to shoot a takedown. Also only tie up with inside control. Never assume a neutral tie up. If he is stronger than you don't tie up. Work your takedowns from the outside instead.
