Excellent point about "needing" a whole pile of technology on a 125cc scooter. As someone who owned, and toured on, an Aprilia Atlantic 500 maxi-scooter without all the tech (other than CBS) I would say....NO !
I'm old school, don't like keyless and the less tech the better. This might be my perfect winter ride. I like the Taiwanese companies' small bikes/scooters, as much because they're not Chinese as anything else (though there's not much wrong with the big Chinese Co's bikes either), & I can't afford a new forza! 😢😅 Good review, nice looking scoot, it's going on my list. 👍
Most of the 'tech' put on scooters is pointless and just another thing to go wrong, the basic nature of the X-Town is a plus in my eyes. That said, I wouldn't consider buying a Kymco because their UK dealer network is so sparse, there's a grand total of one dealer anywhere near me.
Massive downside for 125cc ? for Abs or Display...hmmm compared Kymco with Zontes.....hmmm 🤔🤔 i prefer Kymco decades years of all over the world market for after sale support for reliability and of course you can get the money that you want if you want to sell it...
@@bobritter7197 the first and the last for a model brand of Zontes is reliability and what will be after 5 years and of course what about the spare parts and after sale care . In my country Greece (first country for Zontes company sales in Europe) the owners can't afford to spare parts in time....big issue..
I have the 300i ABS version of the same bike and the bike is awesome. I personally do not like automatically stopping the engine at stops which I am very happy it doesn't have. It's quite annoying. The only thing that I consider to be a negative about the design is that the mirrors are incorrectly placed and at at 5'9" to 5'10", you can't see anything at all behind you. You can however put the mirrors on either side of the windshield with some aftermarket brackets.
Your a big bloke and would favour the maxi scoot. Horses for courses... i have one kymco dealer about 14 miles up road. They are pretty rare in uk even tho they obviosly make decent quality scoots. The killer for me in the video was when you said fuel light flashing you had two litres left...about 20 miles!. That would go down like a led ballon in india. 180 KG does not help dry. My idea of a scoot in its simplest form flat floor..light...excellent mpg and most important of all what we all really want FUN to ride. New suzi address old access in india does it all. But like i said buy whatever suits your needs and size.
I always watch the tachometer while applying force on my right hand because that will affect my cruising range. The fewer rpm on tachometer, the longer range. Especially when you are below quarter on fuel gauge.
i own a lexmoto nexus 125 and its a similar view from me also. i can run diagnostics for faults if need be, modern technology, look and feel. for the price i would expect more for my money with this kymco.
Borrowed neighbours kymco 300 was super impressed. Owner of xmax250.. no abs 2024👎
I've been riding one for two years. I never had a problem.

Lovely stuff, glad you enjoyed the video.

Sold my SYM for the same reason, no dealers anywhere near me. Got an Nmax now, 2 dealers both less than 9 miles away.
Hey im slightly taller than 6’3
What is your best 2 recommendations for scooter if money didnt matter. I was looking at the kymco 550
Unfortunately CBS instead of ABS is a massive downside. Zontes 125M is in similar price range but with ABS and TFT display. Just saying. Nice video 👍

@herculesspeed. zontes M is a great scooter but is a bit lacking in under-seat storage. Which is a pity.

No ABS? No thank you.
Looking my first scooter, was thinking the 125 x town or the nmax.

How much?

I have a 2019 300i and I have to agree, they are a quality scooter.
Good review
Glad you enjoyed, thank you.

Why do you need a tachometer on an automatic scooter without programmable modes?

@@DarcyChu-fi6lf good point 👍

You would "feel" the "sweet zone" of acceleration for cruising with your right hand while watching the tachometer.
No keyless ignition or ABS on a 2024 scooter? My Zontes has both for less money.

I think you will find most of the components on any given Scooter or Motorcycle are made in China 🇨🇳 😉
Or italy
crap
what 125cc scooter would you say is best for comfort for a tall 1.95m rider?
Any maxi scooter 125cc. Especially the forza and sym cruisym
No adjustable screen stopped watching
Lol
Kymco's attempt at mimicking Burgman.
Could argue it's what the current Burgman 125 should be...
@@BikeMatters Chassis sizes are vastly different though. Suzuki probably wanted to top Address and Avenis with 125EX.
