@@MMM18092 No, we bought a Model Y and then a 3. I had the chance to drive the Mach-E for an extended time in 2022 and I’m happy I didn’t buy it, it’s a good car but not the best EV.
The Mach E doesn't have a heat pump does that mean it can't be camped in? I'm stuck between an Ioniq 5 (bit boring inside) Mach E and a Tesla Model 3 but the Mach E is top of the list
Does anyone know if this is getting a heatpump in any update or is the current heating system good enough for Scandinavian winters, eg. Lapland Finland?
It would be so great if you could test the consumpsion at different speeds like 80/90/100/110/120 so you could find the sweet spot between consumpsion and speed. With this car for example increasing a 33% of speed translates into a 50% of consumpsion increase but in the Enyaq only represents a 42%.
I am pretty sure that the slower the lower the consumption, since the wind drag increase and electric cars have 1 single gear. One of the reasons engine cars have sweet spots is because of the gear box. That's why you now have cars with 10 gears just to reduce the RPM at any speed.
Mach-e has a bigger battery but also notice the tire width compared to the others. The Mach-e weighs almost 2000 kg. and has skinnier 225 tires than most regular sedans that wear at least 235s. The Mustang Mach-e has skinnier tires than any other Mustang in the lineup as well which is odd because they are all smaller and lighter but have tires that range from 235s-265s.
@@flipadavis The guy from Engineering Explained made a point of how small the tires are for such a heavy car. Be interesting to see how tread wear is on this thing.
As (in Norway at least) there has been alot of focus on max payload on electric cars lately, it would be great if you could include this in you spreadsheet. That way, viewers can get an idea of what is possible to carry around in the car(passengers + luggage + roofbox/rack). We might also get a bit more focus on this from the manufactures as well.
It's a nice looking car and the performance and range are very good but I'd take the ID.4 GTX or the Ioniq5 AWD on a road trip before I would take the Mach E. Charging speed too slow for road tripping. I've seen other videos where the Mach E take 45 minutes to go from 10% to 80%. 36 minutes for the ID.4 and 18 for the Ioniq5. Thanks for the videos. Love your channel
Well actually the charging speed on Mach-E and ID4 is exactly the same. According to Bjorns video, Mach-E charges 56 kWh in 36 minutes and ID4 charges 56 kWh in 36 minutes. Mach-e takes only longer to 80% because it has 10 kWh more battery than ID4. Mach-E charges even fast than Ford claims (41 minutes Bjorns result vs. 45 minutes Ford claims).
The efficiency really tanks at higher speeds (120 km/h) to as bad as the Ioniq 5 AWD with 19's. This despite running on bicycle tires (jk) and being RWD. Is Ford modernizing the idea of "no replacement for displacement" with "big battery better"? It is crazy the the model x has better efficiency at 120 km/h rolling on 255/20's.
Any Mach-E owners notice coil whine coming from the display behind the steering wheel? Many owners complain about it. I also noticed it on test drive. Was pretty annoying.
When you tried THE ioniq 5 out with banana boxes. Is it THE same sizes as you used for 4 years Ago when you compared a Tesla model s vs a Mercedes e klass. I Wonder cause THE ioniq 5 fitted many more boxes than THE Tesla model s which should have a blogger boot. Pls answer
I wouldn’t be surprised if Ford dropped Mustang from the designation of this car. It is a very good EV, but the Mustang angle was mostly to get attention on the first iteration. It could live on its own as the Mach-E once the name is established
@@skog5209 People forget the Mustang and other pony cars were just a smaller version of the popular large two door sedans at the time, so they were popular with secretaries and such, and were essentially the crossovers of their time. The name plate has just come full circle market wise.
@@anydaynow01 Well but also remember that they were cheap, most parts came right off the Falcon. I've driven both a Falcon and several 1st gen Mustangs from the 60s and they're all the same. Surprisingly rickety even for a car of that age. It's basically a sporty version of an economy car, like a hot hatch of its day. Later generations grew in size and werent quite the same. The low point is probably the Fox Body in my opinion.
The 'Jaws' warning beeps playing when you chomped into that bun was perfect timing 🤣
Yeah and I have a sneaky feeling that Bjørn made some fun of the car for playing the sound. As it randomly played though out the video.
Thank you for doing a summer range test of the Mustang.
Ahh back to C64 sound effects: pip-pup-pip-pup-pip-pup-pip-pup dom'do dom'do dom'do doom!
The C64 had a lot more advanced sound chip.
Sounds more like a game-and-watch type of sound to me, although I'd love to have a car with the SID chip!

Those Continental EcoContact 6 tyres are very efficient.

What app are you using on your phone to see the extra data ? I have a Mustang too, it seems quite useful.

Bolleland is the exact same as all other petrol buns, only with color. Proper buns at Lom.
So I guess it makes sense that it under reports battery at high and low to protect the battery. I wonder if it evens out at 50%.
Ford has the longest range of any SUV on the market. Incredible. And efficient too.
On par with model x to be more precise. But yeah, awesome car the Mustang 🐎
