I love how prideful it sounds, Frank in his own mind was just a man doing his duty for the country. It gives the impression that Frank is unshakable in his beliefs and will drop dead for what he sees as the true American future. It’s bittersweet in a way because it almost feels like in a different life he could have been a true patriot.
Yeah exactly, I wish in Hoi4 Old World Blues they could've made him be created later during the events of the mod where if you take President Granite's reformed Enclave route he could've been the true American fighter he thought he was, perhaps even leading an entire division of mutant American soldiers into battle to reunite the U.S.A. and being Granite's unshakably-loyal secret service agent
@@slightlyistorical1776The closest you can get to that is the ERB purist route, where you can resume the FEV experiments and later produce Horrigan's armour and arm super mutants. Though personally I would've loved something similar if you had gone Granite's reformers and accepted Super Mutants in the focus tree
“true patriot” i thought fallout fans of all people would know how the usa has taken control of the world by waging war and how patriotism an fanaticism are so dangerous and terrible. so disappointed

Speech in the non-Bethesda Fallout games is debating at a high level and using the enemy's logic, emotions, and motivations against them to make them lose faith in their plans. Speech in Bethesda games is the equivalent of Palpatine saying "DEWIT!" Maybe Bethesda protagonists had Bene Gesserit mothers? I actually don't hate Fallout 3 or 4, I actually like 4 overall, but - my God, the quality of most of the dialogue is so low.
Love the retro/80s styled slowed drawn out dystopian music in the background. Totally fits the old school atmosphere too. Wish someone would package up a mod with this kinda music for Fo4 here on the box.
Frank Horrigan was living proof that the Enclave are full of shit. Dude became a super mutant, something that the Enclave say they want to eradicate yet the Enclave kept him alive, grafted PA to him and let him stuff a fate worse than death. Thankfully the chosen one ended his suffering.
A gun is a gun, even if you hate gunpowder you'll use it if it will help you achieve your goal, if Frank had outlived his usefulness they would've just disposed of him, same way they did with the deathclaws. Nobody in the enclave likes Horrigan
Indeed. This is actually something that really interests me as it's a clever way to show the true motivations of the Enclave and conclude the main thematic throughline of Fallout 2. The Enclave claim to want to purify the human race but are willing to kill numerous individuals that fall into their definition of pure (such as vault dwellers) and save those who don't (such as Frank Horrigan). Reading between the lines, it becomes clear that want the Enclave really want is to kill everyone who isn't them. Their loss of control over the USA following the Great War and the emergence of new and different city states frightens them. Throughout Fallout 2, the Chosen One encounters events in which they have the capacity to bring differing and feuding city states together (such as Modoc and the Ghost Farm, Vault City and Gecko, the humans and super mutants of Brocken Hills, or the NCR and Vault 15). They help the communities overcome issues such as miscommunication, bigotry, supremacy and conspiratorial manipulation to form alliances and help the city states come together and grow. The Enclave however, are the antithesis to this idea. No matter what the player does or says, they are unable to convince them to abandon their ideas of pointless eradication and conquest (with the exception of a few NPCs) and to instead use their vast technology to work with the wasteland (such as using their vertibirds to improve trade, or their armour and weapons to improve security) - and so are forced to destroy them to prevent them from harming anymore people. In a way, the Enclave are perfectly indicative of the main theme of Fallout. They embody how certain aspects of humans (such as a desire to protect one's people - a goal the Chosen One themself shares with them) can become warped and result in atrocities. The Enclave embody man's unwillingness to grow and change. Because if man never changes, war never changes.
Wasn't the whole FEV program partially about making super soldiers before the war? The government merely continued their original goal once the country went up in smoke. They're not really full of shit, just lying about their true goals.
@@Viper97Gaming I knew that they would eradicate everyone else, but i find thats whats perfect about them. THEY CANT BE REASONED WITH, And so you cant let them "cleanse"
Not a problem! I've just added a link to the original music file in the video description that you should be allowed to download. Feel free to use it for whatever you want and let me know if you run into any issues!

Sounds like fun, an alternative could be they found his brain in the ruins of Navarro, still encased in his helmet
It makes me think that Frank and the chosen one mirror eachother, there both brutal warriors fighting for the survival of there people.

Great theme, sounds a lot like a good 80's action movie synth score.
Gives me a lot of "Escape from NY" vibes.

This slaps harder than Franky when he slapped that deathclaw.
Deathclaw POV: *Half life death & gib sound effect*
"Your ride's over mutie, time to die."
