This video came together really quickly, likely due to the limited footage of Frank so the majority of the video is Frank's talking head...hope that's okay, mutie. "Corps" is pronounced core, language is hard sometimes 😪 Also, a few people seem to be confusing the term "low level intelligence" for "moronic" and that is not my intention. Frank is no moron but he's not highly intelligent either. He does not think for himself, he is blinded by loyalty and follows orders without questioning them no matter how inhumane. He is unwilling to listen to reason, nor displays any signs of understanding the actions of the Chosen One. It takes intelligence to see from another persons perspective and then act upon it accordingly. Frank simply regurgitates something he's been told since birth while ignoring anything that doesn't support his beliefs - that the Enclave are the future, the purest and most worthy of inhabiting the world, which does not include him - but he is too blind/brainwashed to see that. And while Frank is the best at what he does, it is learned behaviour refined over decades worth of experience, supported by technology and mutations, with cybernetic enhancements increasing his intelligence, which is still average. I'm sorry if this rubs you the wrong way, I do not hate Frank he's one of my favourite characters, but I will not let my feelings persuade me into believing he's some kind of genius either. Gray Fox - 1998
The line suits him, misguided as he was.
Frank horrigan actually made me hold my breath when I saw him over the security cameras in vault 13.
When a hero falls, (shoddycast) A new hero is always born. Thanks for bringing us such great lore
scary boss if you played for 1st time and rushed the main quest.
I shot him 3 times and he died..m first time I ever played. I focused too much on crits and accuracy I guess.
@@finalcam1740 i did 0dmg to him xD bozar crit hit in the head for 0 dmg.
If Frank could only have one perk from any game in the series it would be Lord Death of Murder Mountain
I Always found it funny how he would call you a "mutie", despite his own form.
Hardcore projection and self-delusion.
@@PlanetZoidstar Sigma Male
So… he’s the Darth Vader of the Fallout franchise?
If Vader had no Force powers, used a 7-foot-long plasma gun, and was 12 feet tall, then yes that's a pretty good comparison
Basically
He’s closer to a damn space marine 💀
The Enclave if they still exist need to mass produce these Ultra mutants and perfect the design
It would be all well and good until one of the mutants got a intelligence of 6+
This video came together really quickly, likely due to the limited footage of Frank so the majority of the video is Frank's talking head...hope that's okay, mutie.
"Corps" is pronounced core, language is hard sometimes 😪
Also, a few people seem to be confusing the term "low level intelligence" for "moronic" and that is not my intention.
Frank Horrigan Titbits:
Frank Horrigan is one of 4 characters to have 10 in all SPECIAL skills.
He's named after Clint Eastwood’s character from “In the line of fire” who’s also a secret agent.
If you know anymore, please share!
ummm... i don't think he was a big dummy, if any he was the best super mutant to be created, he's strong, loyal, he follow instruction almost perfectly, he got some leadership skill, to me he's just tenacious about his loyalty, imagine HK47 from star wars knights of old republic but with less humor and a super mutant that's what i think frank horrigan is
but hey.... it's just an opinion, a nobody's opinion :3
Who are the other 3?
(Sorry, I haven't bought the fallout games yet)
@@midgetman4206 they are all from the lonesome road DLC for new Vegas 2 of them are boss's of dry wells and the long 15 (I don't know there names) and the other is Ulysses
Can you do the robobrains?
@@yovitasrimulyani2663 I prefer the lieutenant from fallout 1, now that was a perfect super mutant! 😂
I actually couldn’t think of anything that could be equivalent to his power
A vertibird with a nuke on it, or me
@@planetkc you called?
liberty prime possibly
I could say "Scorchbeast Queen or Wendigo Colossus" but they probably didn't exist due to Fallout prior to 3 having different developers, or died many years prior to Fallout 2 if you include the Fallouts from Bethesda
all playable characters except maybe lone wanderer/og vault dweller
Imagine if Frank never died and he hunts you throughout the fallout games
Personally I much prefer non-recouring villains. It's so easy to get tired of a villain and I'd rather see new faces each game
If he didn’t die and survived the oil rig explosion in fallout 2 somehow I would have had a feeling he would be the final boss in fallout 3 instead of colonial autumn.
That would be terrifying. I want it
Frank horrigan has always been my favorite character in fallout.
You are like the only fallout lore Creator who makes vids about very specific lore chunks that I'm super interested in
Based on a Clint Eastwood character, he’s absolutely fucking awesome.
underrated villain wish they did more with him
This guy never fails to top everyone's lore videos. Not too short not too long. Perfection at its best
The Only Man Who Has Death Claws Run From Him.
Of every fallout badboy he is by far my favourite. Absolutely terrifying but also completely understandable how someone could become like that in the fallout world.
1:20 I love the way this is worded. Frank Horrigan wasn't a part of an assault squad, he makes up a whole assault squad by himself
Definitely a real threat once you encounter him, he makes his own presence grow over every situation to show how a beast he is.
This is gonna be great one. Keep doing these videos.
Can you do one on Sino-American war?
Yes! Definitely a choice in the next poll 😁👍
You can easily defeat frank with the "6 pack" trick. You pickpocket him and transfer alcohol into his inventory. His AI has no choice but to drink them all and break his accuracy stat
LMAO, really? Is that a skill? 🤣🤣
6:50 you punch an enemy so Hard that their arm gets vaporized.
You take a sip from your trusty vault 13 canteen.
It just reminds me of it.
I’m listening to this and “wait and bleed” started to play where I was. Made for quite an impression of Frank Horrigan.
i wanna say that Michael Dorn as Frank Horrigan is absolutely amazing next to his role as Marcus.
They're the same voice actor?
@@Synonymous101 indeed, it surprised me too
@@flashmusicarchive no way, I never knew that! Thanks for sharing 😁👍
i love watching these lore videos, great to see Fallout content like this is still being made and posted!
Keep up the great work!
wish we could join him on his adventures, imagine befriending him and just going on extermination ops with that big bastard
Most definitely one of the best and most cruel villain in Fallout lore.
Great video as always. You know, we know a lot about the lore of Laser weapons, but not enough about Plasma weapons. Would love to see a video about that. Also, still waiting for the Wanamingo video.
How we say in Germany:
*Was eine Maschine*
1 If the best Characters/Bosses in Fallout
Frank Horrigan is one of the only things in the fallout universe that really scared me when I first saw him
Oh I've been waiting for this for a long time 😸
Honestly frank horrigan is one of the best final bosses in a game because he is a super mutant, has power armor, and has 10 in each special stat. While the new fallout games have things like a horde of enemies. Anyway another good video keep making great content!
Plus he’s the only final boss in fallout you can talk to, only to have him shut you up before choking you with your trachea. Considering eden, lanis, and the master it’s quite impressive.
Legate Lanius: "I am the champion of the Legion, monster of the East and I will conquer the Mojave"
Frank: "Thats Cute"
Even though I already know much about the series and these characters, it's always nice watching new videos on the series. Keep up the good work.
One thing that always bugged me was that you can't both use turrets and initiate dialog with him, but then again: turrets are pure easy mode copout
Yayyyy, a new video! Like, dude, you don't understand how happy this makes me! Thank you, I appreciate your work and your ability to continue to find things about the Fallout series that I didn't know about, which is AWESOME! Lol
He had one of the coolest voices ever too ngl.
That's Michael Dorn from Star Trek. He also did the voice of Marcus in New Vegas
We need new fallout antagonists that are as fascinating as The Master and Frank Horrigan
Need to play fallout 1 and 2 again. Games may be old but their basically just as amazing in narrative and character development as New Vegas.
its so funny now , i just realized frank horrigan was clint eastwoods character who played a secret service agent in "in the line of fire" (1993)
I’ve always thought that Frank is one of the most iconic and memorable villains of the series. Good to learn the lore all in one place! One small thing, the 2nd word in Chemical Corps is pronounced like “Core” not “Corpse” 2:24. Great vid.
Fantastic video as always. I've been getting into the old Fallout games lately and your videos are an amazing way to learn more about the lore. Keep up the good work!
I love stumbling across Fallout lore channels. I love listening to them in the bg while I work. Good channel! :)
As good a place as any! 😂
@@Synonymous101 btw, "corps" is pronounced core. Like 'Marine Corps' would sound like 'Marine Core'. English, amirite
I'm glad I found this channel, ever since the storyteller left to wander the wastes, I've been wanting some good fallout lore. Thank you. you'll be seeing me in the comments section from now on!
Welcome aboard! 😁👍
@@Synonymous101 Can't wait till you have a discord or something for the fans! Keep up the great work
"You've gotten a lot farther than you should have- but then you haven't met Frank Horrigan either. Your rides over, Mutie. Time to die" - Walking Apocalypse (Frank).
Frank be like lemme just fall apart in tell this tribal that this oil rig is gonna blow up and let them get away lmao
Ngl frank is one of the coolest characters in all of gaming
I love seeing this kind of Fallout 2 appreciation.
What an entertaining video, watching a head bounce for 10 minutes straight with hardly any other footage
Close your eyes and relax 👍
I'm convinced frank is fallout's equivalent of a demigod. I can imagine some tribe came across him and saw one of his many inhuman feats. Probably started worshipping him as a god after that.
I never made the connection that frank was not only a super mutant but a super mutant behemoth
I would say he's two dimensional as a character but horrifying honestly I would rather see you make a video on the master that guy was a TREAT to talk to?
So you're telling me he could have stayed on the oil rig?And survived How strong is this guy
I hope we get a complete remake of Fallout 2 so we can see Frank in all his modern glory.
A great video! Truly wonderful to see as big a fallout lore dork as myself. Love your videos. Glad you sent me this way.
Very interesting lore, and great narration. I would love to see a lore video on Chems, both standard and the more Unique versions of them, I dont know if this could be one video or if there is enough lore for a video on each Chem, but I would like to see it either way.
Frank Horrigan is possibly my favourite boss in all of video game history and I'd do anything to play fallout 2. I have the frank Horrigan mod on fallout 4 and he is my companion. I swear, being friends with the behemoth in power armour is safer than safe. especially in the wasteland.
Thanks to Frank, every time I see a member of my family in the Marines, I "Semper Fiiiiii."
And, of course, they have no idea I'm quoting Frank and think I'm just being a good lil American and showing support for the U.S.M.C. Nope. Totally Fallout... My Uncle gave my Dad a his MC knife, who gave it to me, cause hello, my Dad was Army, and I named it Frank.
He may not be the smartest man, but he can toss out badass and eloquent speeches just as well as he can throw a devastating punch. He’s good at what he knows, and what he knows is kicking ass and serving the Enclave
Could you imagine if frank had fallout 4 power armor wouldn't that make him way more intimidating
STOP, ONLY COME BACK WHEN YOU HAVE THAT ARMOUR BACK!
I love your lores!! Please make more of these please
Imagine this dude trying to picklock and hack computers..
Enclave here, why isn’t your video feed working?
Everything about this is perfect ❤
I would love to see a lore video on tunnelers from lonesome road and the hidden threat they pose to the mojave
9:10 Always Faithful, very well written character that is for sure.
