I see Jason Lee every once in awhile in Denton when he's working in his photo studio. He keeps it pretty low-key and wants to raise his family here. Very nice dude trying to live a normal life in this small town. I bartended one of his art events recently and he was very kind and grateful. Cool to see a town I love recognized in this video!

Back when I was a teen, Lee and a skate team came to our little podunk town and did a skate demo. He was a good guy - helping kids learn tricks and interacting with us.
No mention that he just published a book earlier this year? A PLAIN VIEW is an amazing collection of photos from across Texas done with large format film cameras on expired emulsions. He is a great actor, but he is an amazing photographer.
Jason Lee lived in my city in Texas up until about a year ago. He still comes around every now and again. He had art showcase for his own photography here in town. He was there apparently. I missed it, though. Edit: Yeah! He says it in the video. Denton, Texas is the place. I'm not aware of him still being here, but Denton is a cool place. Usually referred to as a "hipster" town for the most part, but less stereotypical I would say. It's a really artsy place nonetheless.

Growing up a skater Jason Lee's style in my opinion was the raddest, I'd even compare to the father's of street skating, Tommy Guerrero and Natas Kaupas; so he was a very influential figure. Seeing how popular Stereo Skateboards have become in younger generations, makes me so happy to see him back in skateboarding after acting.

I watch very little TV, almost no movies, but I did watch every episode of My Name is Earl. This show is really all I know him for, but to see him in a more regular look is quite amazing in contrast. I didn't expect him to be such a cool guy lol.

As a fellow Dentonite and film shooter.. we are happy to have him here in Denton! (well just outside of Denton.) I've seen him out and about every now and then, great guy with a heart of gold. His last photo show here in town was phenomenal !

Growing up a skater Jason Lee's style in my opinion was the raddest, I'd even compare to the father's of street skating, Tommy Guerrero and Natas Kaupas; so he was a very influential figure. Seeing how popular Stereo Skateboards have become in younger generations, makes me so happy to see him back in skateboarding after acting.
