I'm 18 now and I loved Alvin and the chipmunks as a kid and the 3rd one in the cinemas was the last movie I watched with my pop before he died from cancer and I grew out of the movies after then I watched the 4th one just for him and as soon as I found out after that he wasn't in it I just gave completely up on the shit movies
For me they are not bad , just perfectly decent kids movies , and David cross was really good , he brought some more mean humor and comedy for adults in a really childish movie

Alvin And The Chipmunks 2: The Sqeakuel was unfortunately the first movie I ever saw in theatres. I have to give massive props to David Cross for carrying those movies though. He's genuinely a great comedian and I can't imagine how awful it must have been to star in those movies lol
