“The basic idea of the ending was that while he was stuck on a really hard list item he was going to start to get frustrated that he was never going to finish it. They needed to make up for something bad they had done to Earl.” i also heard that earl jr was gonna be a famous person that joy ran into…. Such a shame they couldn’t do it especially since they were promised another season

Even though it never happened, I consider it the canon Ending. It's just such a great ending. Furthermore, I heard something slightly different. I heard that "Earl eventually bumps into someone who made a list of their own to make up for all the bad things they'd done, and when Earl realizes what he'd started, he rips up his list, and goes on with his life knowing that although he didn't finish everything on his list, other people were doing the same thing, which in his mind was good enough."
And we'll never get to see it happen 😤

@@masterofpuppets5072 no one watches it anymore, and I wouldn’t have known it existed if someone hadn’t recommended it to me. The popularity kind of died out, so that’s probably why it got canceled, not really sure though.
@@ansleym.446 yeah, I was lucky enough to get it recommended to me by my sister. It's a shame they couldn't get the final season green lit or at least the movie the writer had planned

This show looks like a trashy crude show, but it's insanely smart and well written. I'd argue it's much more clever than other sitcoms back then and now. Not to mention this show is extremely positive and dare I say "wholesome". It's really refreshing. Shame it ended on a cliffhanger.

I know right? I just rerun the whole series last week and realized it's very consistent with time and past events aside from Carolina arriving at the States earlier which she even acknowledged and poked fun at with a Spanish 4th wall break. I just love the continuity
yeah i saw it available for free on roku TV and didn't watch it for a long time because it looked so bland and uninteresting. i put it on one night and now i've watched every episode at least 4 times. it is wholesome.

Joy is one of the best sitcom characters ever. Also the actor who played Earl as a child was a spot on match.

Oh man.. I used to watch this show religiously every Friday after school. I would make sure my Dad recorded it on the TV the night before. Then every Christmas I would get the entire Season on DVD. So many great memories, such an underrated show and hardly anybody knows about it today.
I have 1-3 on dvd and 4 on blu ray, so many special features, well worth it

This show hands down has some of the best one liners and story writing that I've ever seen. So many moments that stick with you and make you want to go back and rewatch. Nothing nowadays will ever be as good as this show.
I binge watch this show on Hulu all the time. It’s my go to show when I need a laugh. Never disappoints. Wish we had another season for some closure.
I vividly remember my older brother watching this around when I was 7-8 years old in the cop chase scene he was like 20 years old at the time anyways After years later I stumbled upon it in the same episode i first seen it watched it and it brought freaking memories grew up watching it ever since a tru gim. 😂

Greg Garcia made the best 8 year of TV comedy with this show and Raising Hope.
One of the most underrated shows ever. It was a masterpiece and detailed story fully of energy and fun. You could almost connect to the characters like you were part of the story. Who ever scripted this show is a genius.

I didn't think much of this show when I was younger, I'm 28 now & my current partner showed me this show. It's unique & unlike anything else on TV these days or even Netflix. Makes me want to go back to appreciate it more
Such a funny show. I lived in Moorpark, CA when this show came out (2005-2009) and it was fun watching the episodes they shot in the old downtown area of Moorpark. They also filmed many of the exterior shots at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Preserve in Van Nuys where my friends and I loved to go bike riding and watch the model airplane enthusiasts.
They still need to finish the show, stupid cliffhangers

This show is so underrated! One of my all time favorites.
I don't understand how "it's always sunny" was such a hit and yet this, which also has a bunch of selfish asshole characters, just flew under the radar
My guess is because it’s more subtle in its attempts, while sunny is more absurd and direct which I think is more liked by people that I’ve seen
sunny also has danny devito in the main cast, which helps both the ratings and the humor
The fake accents and over exaggerated facial expressions handicapped this show bad.
