Lucky me! I was just wondering how Mari and Nick's build was going, you just happened to upload a few minutes ago :) Love the floor. You might already have it, but keep super glue handy. Really helped us out when we split wood or stripped screws. Just put a dab on and in minutes you're back to work!
We had a conversion van back in the late 70's that we'd camp in. I loved that thing! I wish I still had it. It was just a simple one with a bed, no cupboards, but we had fake red brick paneling on the walls, and a quilted black vinyl on the roof. I can't remember what the floor was. And it had several speakers.
If you are going to use planks for your floor you "MUST" glue them down to the plywood otherwise they WILL split and move and you will have grooves where dirt will collect. Thank you. Have a nice day.
Hey guys, van looks great. I'm considering doing something similar with an Elgrand but have a question - are you able to get this size van certified self contained in NZ anymore? What about if you use the front seats as part of the bed (so the toilet and sink etc can go at the back)?
You're getting there! It's looking like a real camper van! (And for some reason I want there to be chickens wandering about and inspecting your handiwork. Not that we want adorable chickens near power tools.)
That flooring looks great! I never realized how much work goes into transforming a van. 🚐 Question for Nick...is he as even keeled as he seems to be? He seems like a go with the flow, easy going kind of guy. 🙂
Hey Mari! Are you in Christchurch for the next while? There is an instameet put on by the tourism board on Sat Nov 25 that ive been invited to and I was wondering if you're interested in being my plus 1 haha =)
You're a great team and Nick is such a good sport providing fun facts!
xoxo
The van is coming along nicely, I'm excited 😊

The Renovations to the van looks amazing !!Always look forward to your vlogs, Thanks for sharing
You guys are super impressive. So fun!!!
aw thanks Katie! Though we'll have to wait and see how crafty we really are when it's finished.. haha. Definitely fun though!
Woohoo! Good man ya got there, Mari!

sounds awesome
Honestly thought this would be boring but pleasantly surprised. I'm actually look forward to them even if Nick is looking more stressed by the episode

Love what you're doing, guys!
Any chance you could do a quick tour of the garden? It looks amazing :)

haha the funny thing is that there are actually chickens at the house we're currently staying at! But they're safely behind a fence :)
Great progress, surprise us next week 😊👍🏼
I’m moving to NZ for a study abroad program and your videos are so helpful! Thank you! Would love to meet you, you should do a meet and greet! Ki Ora.

Thanks Debra! I'll try to get that question answered in a video! :)
Hi Mari
Keep chugging along! 😊😍😘
Thank you!!! ☺
ALWAYS drill pilot holes before using screws. How long have you had a beard? The floor looks great.
so what happened after the floor ?
I have complete faith 😂 Can you ask Nick if some Number 8 wire is going to make an appearance in or outside of the van 😂
he answers this in the next video!

Hey! Sorry, just saw this. Yeah, I might be down! What are the details?
Next time we see Nick, he's making us lasagna, please!
haha and I told him you'd make spaghetti :) xo
It's a deal!
Nadine Narita two half Japanese half European American girls?.Surely you arent both in Christchurch?
Not exactly!
Nick used a leprechaun hat!
Good job, you both! For the Nick fun fact: what is Nick's height and weight? Or better yet, turn it into a contest! Guess Nick's height and weight. :)
